Yes, figuring out chords from a compressed RUclips video can be tough. There is a video by Danny Gatton called "Strictly Rhythm Guitar" if I recall correctly which is great. Duke Robillard's "Uptown Blues & Swing Guitar" (or something like that) teaches some chord work as well. I agree ... there should be more material available concentrating on this. Just a little hint: Learn your 9th, 13th, augmented and diminished chords in all possible positions. Most stuff you hear here is made out of them.
Does anyone know of any instructional dvd that teaches alot of these chords that they're playing(aside from the obvious-figure it out by ear comment)? I recognize a few,but would love to learn to play rhythm like that.
