Charlie Baty is the Shit ! What a player ! Sure miss him on the tour. I think he and Rick were pullin' something like 275 nights a year. Guess he got tired of it all. He's one of my all time favs.

I love how Rick goes up to to Kid Andeson after a few bars of his possible
solo after Charley's solo and says "I wouldn't ..." in his ear, and it goes right to a bass solo.

1988 in Voss, Norway. Setting: Vossajazz, one of major jazz festivals in Norway. Nightcats played at the cellar of Fleichers Hotel, and it was a timeout from the jazz stuff. Lot of drinking, lot of socializing, buzz, etc. Nightcats used just 20 min. to take control over this "fretparty". At that time most bands playing in Norway used 2x45 min. sets. The last set was a complete insane experience, and one of the best concerts I've ever seen. And the set went on for over 90 min. Fond memories...

I saw these guys for three nights out in Laughlin, NV when it was Little Charlie and the Nightcats and they rocked the fucking house. I like it with Rick too but man what a show those guys put on!

Daniel, what you DON'T know is A LOT. Not sure if you've ever been on a stage or not, OR if you really pay attention at shows. IF you think about it with any class at all, you'd realize that Kid actually handled that situation beautifully, as did the other classy PROFESSIONALS who are members of the band. Not everyone needs to jack off on stage to put on a QUALITY show. Sometimes style and respect matter more than childish egos. You couldn't possibly be further off with your comment...and you apparently don't know very much about Kid Andersen's well deserved confidence nor his unsurmountable, boundless abilities
