@@BigAngryTrev1 What an awesome collection and a wholesome story! I started collecting in 2021. Bit of a latecomer, I was already 20 by the time I started, but I started dating (and then got engaged to) a massive Transformers fan, and he convinced me to buy a few figures. "A few figures" turned into a collection of, at present, about 400 figures. Nowhere near yours, of course, but we're having fun! I love the father/son moments you have, enjoying the hobby together. With a little one on the way right now, I hope we'll be able to get little Unicron Mitchell into the hobby as well one day. (We're not really naming him Unicron 😆)
I have paused and rewound this so many times to make out some of the characters on those shelves. An amazing collection, and I love that he’s able to share that with his kid.
Awesome collection. And hey, it's better than wasting his money on booze or playing pokeys at the pub. He can inherit them to his kids or sell them to make money.
The Transformers cartoon was KING! Soundwave was my first real crush and the cartoon movie that eventually followed was so beloved. I showed it to my children when they were very young, and to this day my now 24 yo daughter is a Transformers fanatic. She dresses up as Starscream for cons every year.

I just started collecting Transformers figures as an adult after loving them as a kid. Rediscovering my childhood passion has been such a happy journey for me. I hope to one day have even a third of a collection this size. Well done.
Great article and so glad to see a top bloke like Trevor highlighted for his fantastic collection. Pity the hosts then made it about themselves afterwards.

I thought I knew what planet Cybertron looked like before watching this video, but now I realize the shear number of Transformers action figures there are in this world!!
I am a collector as well. I've been collecting since 2019 or 20. When the first carbon tax came out. I got earthrise. And now I'm almost 50. And I've got about 50 Transformers that look like the original. And I think I need about 50 more and then I'm done.
Phenomenal collection! A structure entirely dedicated to Transformers is epic and I love the use of The Transformers (theme), the G1 Season 1 intro, Dare, the iconic Autobot/Decepticon Transition and The Touch! Haven’t seen the news go to this extent before by playing the iconic soundtrack throughout the video. Excellent stuff Australia! Till all are one!
Only thing I've seen worth not burning the house down in case of Australian spider infestation...this collection is the only thing on this green earth that would make me march back in like I got the matrix of leadership and eradicate every single bug until my collection is safe again...truly amazing
Man that is alot of transformers and maybe the most awesome thing I have ever seen!!! I love seeing father and son with the same interests like that. It will mean alot as time goes by. Compared to this collection I have a few transformers myself and still watch the G1 cartoon regularly
As a fellow Transformers fan. (Decepticon insignia tattoo alongside cosplay various transformers characters and branding my car a Decepticon too.) I absolutely LOVE this man and his family :D
Such an impressive collection. I am nowhere near this guy's level - I have so much respect for him indulging in his passion. A lot of people look down on adults (particularly men) who enjoy things from their childhood, but the amount of joy it brings him cannot be measured. Even better, it has allowed him to bond with his son. That is the kind of thing that shapes us as humans and we come to value as we get older.
It's no accident that people become crustly, miserable fogeys. Stay young, keep your inner child alive, follow your passion, that's the way to prevent yourself from becoming a miserable sod that nobody wants to be around.
This is very cool I've heard of people who building railroad sets just as big as that shed. And thanks for the Transformers a lot of the cab over trucks are being restored
Awesome collection. Very happy for him. I think I had one of the biggest collections in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Unfortunately I didn't lock them away when I left home and I am pretty sure my younger brother's friends broke/stole some as did my Nephews. Luckily the oldest ones survived. But it still hurts to think of all the money I poured into that collection and some of the most expensive ones are the ones I lost.... Fortress Maximus, Trypticon, Sky Lynx, Metroplex, Predicons, etc.
I keep my collection under 400. When ever there's a better articulated mold of a toy, i buy the newer mold and sell the older toy to replace it w/out the collection getting out of hand.
That is one healthy hobby there! I, myself, collect a few but no where near what he has. The existence of "Transformers", "Gundam" and "Robotech" gave us a fun childhood, and I can't let that fade away too.
