I came over from Rick Beatos interview with Mohini to experience her play. And I landed here on a planet of mindblowing modern Jazz - Funk - Rock - Music. It is such a pleasure to hear this development of music these top musicians deliver. Thank you for that!
Most drummers would probarbly 18 inch crash hammer this song to its end. Instead - closed hihat on solos and that gentle china that leaves room for everything else going on, just brilliant
22" crash🤔hmn..double kickdrum?🤪 I tottaly agree-Just brilliant. The closed hihat and that sensitive feel he is driving that gentle china -- outstanding musicality. His and Deys subliminal intertwinded - groovey, heavy, tight and solid as a rock. Howes jaw-dropping virtuosity🤯 I have never heard Darwin before tonight...I'm greatfull for this experience and emotionally fullfilled (Had to hear their other songs, before my comment)🕊️
Has anyone else noticed the impact of Derek Sherinian's sound and feel on the band? It reminds me of the best era of DT! This guy is one of those super unique musicians.
@@charlesloddo4367 Check out the album, "Tilt", by Richie Kotzen and Greg Howe. Back to back frenzied guitar battles with each player trying to one up the other. Freakin' insane record.
OMG! Apart from the Winery Dogs and the new Bumblefoot album the best, I have heard during the last time. Mohini Dey can play everything, as everybody, who went through the Louis Banks' school (a guy, who still is heavily underrated worldwide), but she shines, if she plays Rock or Jazz-Rock in my opinion. Also Greg Howe never has been better and Simon Phillips anyway is a class of his own. During the last years great Heavy Rock/Jazz-Rock already seemed to have been dead and now it seems to rise like a phoenix out of it's ashes because of such great musicians, who still keep it alive. Thank you so much!
Love this! Soul slap'n funk with killer riffs and top notch vocal harmonies. Great lineup with everybody bringing it. Very inspired by this. Thank you!
So many elements are coming cohesively to create greatness that has not been heard in so long. This song is like drinking a fat cabernet that just explodes in your mouth. Total ass kicking!!!! To all those young bands that are out there, this is how you shaken the core of the earth to create a tidal wave.
It seems that Simon is nostalgic for his past with the band Toto. He is at home and Miss Dey completes the sound brilliantly. Coming from her, it was the bass he needed. The whole thing sounds just as I like it.
simon phillips is one of my Favorite drummers/musicians .....heard him for the first time when he played with Toyah.....have played "party in Simons pants" as a bassplayer in coverbands....a great tune
Listening to this while driving my car to work and coffee ..... Awesome feeling .... These Wizards have magic to make my mind get excited. Thank you ... ❤
Mohini Dey is the assassin you send to kill an assassin.
Exactly!
Absolute facts!
Total respect for the Bass Player...........
She can definitely distract the assassin.
Mohini Dey is the bass player in DarWin even though your singer is a damn good bass player

You are not alone
Exactly the same way i came across this. Mohini dey is adapting really good to this music. Great band
Same here. 😀
And same with me, too. Now I can’t hear or watch enough Mohini Dey. Otherworldly talent.
This is why "blockers" are so stupid. Looking at you Don Henley. Oh, will I get a block against me??
When Simon Philips is on the drums magic happens.
Funk, groove and rock combined = this song
Heck yeah! That’s the mission statement! :)
Mohihni est une perle dans votre
Groupe
a pinch of progressive
That's the first time a RUclips ad didn't make me feel angry. You guys rock!
I thought the same, i was listening to Dokken - Dream Warriors, and an ad of this song came up
First time I followed a link from a youtube ad and watched it again. And I feel like it's not gonna be the last.
@@lmpinto1977I'll tel ya, that's already the truth! I'm pretty sure cause this music is so, so addictive...Thus..
That slap break was wicked…Mohini is the shit.
This is a serious superband.. Simon Phillips, Derek Sherinian, Greg and Mohini....
Most drummers would probarbly 18 inch crash hammer this song to its end. Instead - closed hihat on solos and that gentle china that leaves room for everything else going on, just brilliant
Simon is an absolute masterful player. A true drum craftsman. And yes, a brilliant job on this track!

Grooves, and a massive drum sound. Yeah 👊 Mohini's bass playing is fantastic
Just the right synthesis of "simple" groove and complexity.

Greg Howe and Simmon Phillips with Mohini perfect together. Incredible talent musician.
Not a random clash of professionals. Top perfect machine.
Mohini and Greg are fire.

Sounds a little like Living Color.
That was smoking!!! A little Billy Sheehan like action from Mohini.
Fantastic!! What a band 👌🏻
Да , нещо истинско ! Браво! Споделено с приятели и всички го харесват . Поздрави от BG. Успех !

Bro this is so perfectly on point
Boomers ain't no dead yet I guess^^
I have just no words for Mohini
The start had me thinking bout a couple tunes John Sykes put out couple years ago. Man this is great stuff right here. Greg Howe blistering guitar.
It’s like they are playing two songs at once, a heavy bass driven rock, but at times, superbly melody, Heavy but soul stirring
There are two
Mohini Dey!
She is absolutely crazy bass player! The best I've heard. Wonderful to listen to her among other heavy guys like Simon
2:40 wow..
Literally 😮

More like Toto in my opinion
Superb song, i really needed that, thanks
I love mohinis style on this video❤❤❤❤❤
That entire groove 😍. And who is listening to this after watching the shorts of Greg Howe playing the solo a year ago. Goosebumps 🎸
I was working with a fever and half down, but this song gave me a power up :D
That’s great to hear! Get better soon!!
Awesome!
