It was such a fun hike that it all went with the theme, our recorded hike was 4 kms shorter thanks to Leanne intrepid conviction that there was a way through that narrow passage. Canberra Explorers don't do things the easy way and it paid off we have found a new way to get down to the Endrick River

There is a relatively easy pass, with a couple cairns, leading from the Battleship rock to the Endrick river.

Yes we were aware of that this new route shaved off more than four kilometres and was much faster, happy hiking

On a more serious note,, trying to figure out where you put the cars.. park at wog wog, or the endrick river road a few kilometers north,,, reason why I ask,, is because until 3 years ago you had car access west from Qulitys clearing... however now there is a sign saying it is a private road,, making access difficult,,, before you could park,,, walk up the road,,, turn left, cross the endrick ,, then go right towards quilties clearing and if u wish onto the vines... But after the sign went up, that access seems eliminated,,, had been open for a good 30 years prior,,,,,
Can only assume that the houses there are not occupied a lot of the time,, and there had been thefts, so someone put up a legal/illegal sign saying private property
Aside there is an illegal sign on the gate just north of Quiera clearing, on the Tolwong road... the gate is chained to a post, however the post just sits on the ground and can be moved... Spoke to people who own Quiera farm and they say sign is illegal,,, plus council spent a small fortune resurfacing the dirt road all the way from Nerriga road to Tolwong farm about 3 years ago with a solid inch of crushed dark rock,, (and whilst at it, did a very good job for what it is worth)

Yes it's confusing I can't understand how NSW government complicated access options into it's National Parks. There's confrontation in the Corang Lagoon section as the landowner is very protective and refuses to speak with bushwalking groups on access to Corang Lagoon and as you have pointed out that gate near Quiera clearing where there is a private road in the middle of a National park. Our bushwalking community only wants access nothing else, we should have had the same laws as in England with right of way, happy hiking
