The tone reverberator on '60'era cars (GM was the only dealerships that I know who offered it) was most less like an amplifier that boosted the output with a bit of eco that mimicked the sound making it artificial stereo. It was a decent option for a AM radio at the time and might have done better for a AM-FM. I don't think stereo versions came out until sometime in the early to mid 70's. I could be wrong, but this is just my comment based on what I knew at the time. In 1975, I was 20 years old.

I had one of these, called it “Aunt Eileen” and discovering the speed minder was a trip. It buzz-clicked louder and faster the more over-speed you went. Finally figured it out (and set it higher).
The switch pitch torque converter was used in TH400s and the Jetaway two speed. I had a 67 Cutlass with the Jetaway. The wires inside of my transmission were shorted out, so I never got the switch pitch to work. I swapped on a TH350 from a 68 Olds and never looked back. I was hoping the pounding I heard on the video was the sticky valve. Goid video as always!

Lol. Great content bro 👊🏽.
4 portholes were for the Century or Roadmaster (or Electra). The century was the hot rod - smaller body with the big engine. This is a C body. A's were Chevys and such.
I knew someone would know!
Also, the Lucerne had 4 "ports" on the fenders.
The electras had the 3 portholes my mistake it had 4 my regal had 3
@@tkskagen ewwww
My neighbor growing up had a Brown ELectra.......That thing was HUGE!!!!!!
It looked like the rockers weren't moving when cranking with the valve cover off. Or my eyes was just playing tricks on me.
I saw that too.
The universe has been restored, Monday is complete. Mortske and Duff dog are in the house.
I think before I went after a rod problem I would unstick the valve on the second cyl from the front on driver's side. Check out the 33:30 minute.
and the second from the back, same side
I agree definitely think you have some sticky valve issues lots of air movement back out of carb
My Mom’s ‘64 Buick LeSabre had one of those speed needles too. Cool stuff!
Thanks again, parts and pieces baby. Great content as usual. Looking forward to the future.
Love this video. My 1st car was Grampa's 1967 Electra 225 that he bought new. They changed a lil every year, '67 was def the best year. Love that car and still miss it. That 430 got 8mpg, and burned a quart of oil every 100 ft. I wish I still had it tho. I swear I can still smell the interior of that car 20+ years later.
I had a '68 LeSabre and I think 1968 was the best year. Right now I have a 1965 Wildcat and still think 1968 was the best year.
Come pick me up. We' ll cruise while we talk about it. I even have 10 bucks for gas.
Dang, 60's Buicks were the best. I loved my first driver, a 1968 2 door Buick LeSabre. What a party, dirt road drifting, railroad track jumping beast!! Learned my repair life on Buicks. Memories memories.
Awesome car!!! I drove a 64 Buick Wildcat with the 401 nailhead in high school in the late 90s.
I once had a 1965 electra 225 2 door hardtop, 401 nailhead, god i never should have gotten rid of that car.
Really digging 66' Buick Electra 225, I see so much potential even before hearing the engine bark off, also I love you shop dog Duff he's just amazing.
The taillights are really cool on these. That's one of the things that drew me to the 66 Electra. I've had mine about 10 years now.
We vote for engine rebuild. What a cool couple videos that would be. Then you could sport it around ND when your done 🙌
The Buick Electra 225 was one of the sleekest most beautiful cars built by GM. This car should have a 360 hp Buick 425 engine in it. Some had 2 four barrel crabs that were a dealer installed option. They are quite rare too find.
I just realized that I typed crabs instead of carbs. Oops.
Good deal on the new shop! Looks great and so much room for activities.
Another great video and inspiration for me to get to work on my 56 Desoto Firedome which has been off the road since 1970
You can do it!
so glad you and duff have returned, hope you two had a good rest
That car in the day was equal to the Cadillac. And it was a beautiful car in its day. Hope you can work on this a little bit more. Great start. Always enjoy your work . Thank you for sharing Mortske!
that 401 is way worth fixing. I if I didnt already have an 88 bimmer in need of a clutch and a 78 cj7 in need of everything I would come straight up and buy her from you. What a sweet old girl.
Put a nail in tht nailhed! Glad you and Duff are back, hope the time off was good!
That Buick looks exactly like what a Buick should look like.it’s a beautiful car!
dude so good to see yah and the duffster back.a monday without mortske is like a day without sunshine!!!!
Great to see you guys back! Hope you enjoyed the break from the interwebs.
I had a 225 convertible about ten years ago, a really Nice car to drive and The 401 nailhead really has some power 🤠
Welcome back King!!! Hope all is well. Hopefully you decide to keep the car and fix it
Boss is that your new shop . Looks big enough for you.
My mom had a 69 Buick La Saber man that car had the power. Dad raced it a couple of times. It was pretty quick. Thanks for working an Buick. It brought back good times with our Buick
I had one of these, called it “Aunt Eileen” and discovering the speed minder was a trip. It buzz-clicked louder and faster the more over-speed you went. Finally figured it out (and set it higher).
Awesome!
You brought back the Gutentight finally!!! Yessssss!!!
Glad you are back new shop missed Duff
If it wasn't so far away that's one I would buy off you, thanks for another great show.
Deuce and a quarter!!! Love these cars. A friend had a convertible that he drove year round with the top down! Course, he was high mist of the time too! The 70s man!!!
Sweet car Mortske! You ought to consider taking some linseed oil and mineral spirits to that patina and refresh that nailhead and flipping it. Derek of VGG might buy it. He loves Buicks.
Dig the chrome post between the doors, love 60s Buicks, nice score, VGG must be green with envy. Book Face, now that there’s funny.
WOW,WOW,WOW What a great shop. Now u you have a lift you can kick butt doing your work. Love the deuce and a quarter. I wish i could get it, but there's no way i could afford the gas to drive it around the block. One of my professor's in collage had a 1968 Buick wildcat rag top 455 2 quad setup!!!! I was the only person he would let work on it. Gotta love them 60's Buick's. Duff and you keep up the great work!!!!!
I drive a buick electra 1975 455 as a daily and I love it
I am glad that Puddin said something about the Mortske flip. I had to see who is this Mortske fella. Well I am glad that Puddin sent me this way. Great work and I hope that you can save this Buick Electra, seems to nice to part it out.
Glad you came over!
Puddin referencing the Mortske flick is how I crossed the streams as well!
