I really hope you all enjoy this revival! We thought it would be a fun one to attempt after being off the road for so many years. It will live on helping to rescue and put others back on the road! 😊 Keep an eye out this coming week for an update on the GMC Motorhome, following by an update on the Burnt ‘64 Electra 225.
Is the engine going in the black one ?
Awesome! The factory a/c in that alone is worth a fortune for your burnt Electra.
It's really nice to hear that Nailhead fire up and run again. A co-worker had a '63 Riv with that engine back in the '90s. I wish I had taken a picture of it next to my '68 Electra (430 powered). Good times.
Mike, I wondered how you made money from the vehicles you and your dad picked up. Would you ever make a video of parting out a car to your customers from beginning to the end.
@BusgetBuildz #challenge for you do you accept? Here’s your challenge use this car in video and try to make it roadworthy PS just for fun not anything serious k 😂
My almost 58 year old ass used to love working on old cars. I'm glad I'm just watching now.
😁 I do hope you enjoyed!
Happy Easter! Sunday morning here. Just woke up...usual thing...tea and toast and my You Tube videos. Hope you all have a nice Easter...Rob, Cairns, Down Under
Yum! I hope you enjoy and are doing well! Thanks Rob, you as well 😊
I saw one of those GMC motor homes running down Interstate 20 west of Shreveport, LA, today. It was headed west.
I wish other channels would take some of the little extra steps you guys do on a first start video, these old cars deserve that. Good one!
My grandpa used to have a 65 Wildcat 401 nailhead light blue, what a beautiful car! Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to see the full revival of the burnt to a crisp 225!
I really enjoy your "Back to basics" approach to getting these cars back on the road, BUT, an ultrasonic cleaner does wonders on those old carbs! Keep up the great content!
Thanks! You’ve got that right! Once we got ours we’ve never gone back! I just thought it would be fun to give it a go 🙂
Always, always, keep including the exhaust shot. Your loyal fan.😊
Happy easter from Germany! I had a 1968 Barracuda fastback in the 90s! Michael
That’s too cool Michael! Love a fastback barracuda 😊 Thank you!
My grandfather had a 225 in baby blue. It's the 1st car I remember us having. I'm 61. This brings back memories.😊
That’s awesome!! ☺️
My brother had one too. Baby blue. It was a 1965. Big as a Cadillac. Then he gave it to me. The speedometer had a set-able buzzer to prevent getting a speeding ticket.
This guy, Budget Builds doesn’t seem to think it’s important to state the year of the car he’s working on. It seems like it would attract more viewers that may have a personal connection to a specific vehicle.
@@newenglandpats59 he mentions the year in the first 5 seconds of the video. It's also the second word of the summary above....
Ahh, thanks!
I used to have a 63 Electra too.
Best car I ever had .
The 401 was a beast, and the smooth ride of the dynaflow was great.
Happy Easter to you and your family.
I have seen so many of these old cars not worth reviving vids and you could do this forever. For me, that Porsche project was worth following along with the motorhome. Move on and take on that Mercedes 280sl and do what you did with the Porsche on that car. Your restoration vids are your best work imho
I seriously love the motor home videos 😍 can't wait to see it on the road
@BudgetBuildz Michael, I went back into your video archive. How old were you on that first video with your BMX bike?
Fascinating! Made me smile.
I would’ve been about 15 in most of those! 😮 I need to get back into BMX or atleast bike riding…try to get back into shape 😅
My wife and I were thinking when we saw you backing that 911 Porsche into your driveway; “what might his bride be thinking?” 😂
That 911 needed a “911” for it to come back to life(appropriate for this Resurrection Day) and you did a wonderful job.
You crack us up on how positive you can make awful looking weathered beat up cars look before you dig into them.
Ya know, there's just something about bringing one of these old beauties back to life. Cain't put my finger on it, but Bless you guys for what you do for these old "fosil-mobiles"! I drive a 1967 Chevrolet Caprice "Sport Sedan". I'm 82, and these old beauties give me great joy when you all revive 'em. As I always like to say, "They don't make 'em like that any more"! Thank you again for your videos.
Like all your videos but really can't wait to see the black deuce and a quarter and the mobile home finished
I’m glad you’re enjoying! We can’t wait to get both of them finished up! This car has helped us tremendously in our efforts on the black deuce! 😊
Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! 😊
I love all your content. You make it and I’ll watch it.
I can just about see Bob Seger in the driver seat! 😁🎶
Haha 😅😅
Thanks for the video!!!
Absolutely! I hope you enjoyed! 😊
Friendly Suggestion - If you want viewers to actually see dipstick, spark plug, points, etc., hold item close to camera, with your other hand immediately behind so it will focus. If held still for two seconds, those of us who wish to can pause and inspect.
Love your channel.
I’m really glad you’re enjoying! Thank you for taking the time to comment, we appreciate it ☺️
Strange you guys don't have more subscibers. Love watching your honest videos. Cheers from far away (Oslo, Norway)
Super cool video! Thanks for the steps! I have an 85 Pontiac Parisienne that needs to be started…I’ll follow your steps to get to it!
Great revival of an awesome car, nothing can ever run and drive like a classic Buick.
Nice job on the car .. Runs really good as well! Just sits there and idles 😊
Would love to see a 235 l6 revival! Great motor
I’ve said this before I know Michael, but I really appreciate the steps you take before that first run, soak the cylinders, change that oil 👍🙂
Man that engine still sounds healthy! Amazing! You guy’s are good!👌😎👍looking forward to seeing more!
Hi guys nice video 📹 and workmanship
You Gotta Love a " Big Bomb More Door ".. Looking forward to seeing it drive ( with a fixed exhaust leak )..
Nice work BB!
Thank you! ☺️
Always enjoy the videos. Keep them coming.
I like your channel and hope that you will restore this car.
You have a lot of cars i have seen at your channel and hope to see like the Porsche a compleet restore.
Greetz and a lot of fun from Holland.
Amazing...to start and run after 42 years!!!!
Thanks for the video.
It is always a good day with a new Budget Buildz video. Had to laugh at the how to get the trunk open 😂
Michael your camera work and editing has hugely improved over the last year … really enjoy your content and humour … keep 'em coming!
We don’t have those mud daubers up here but I bought a 92 Buick riviera that came from down south somewhere and inside the door was a big old yellowish mud dauber nest. I wouldn’t have even known what it was but if not for seeing you guys always pointing them out on everything! 😂
Good morning from Cape Cod ⚓ happy Easter to the budget buildz family 🕊️ this has got to be one of your easiest will it runs in a long while, that engine sounds fantastic! Keep up the great work guys and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
I took my drivers test in a 1975 Buick Electra 225 2 door coupe with the 455. Not the easiest to parallel park but I nailed it 1st try. The examiner said even if I had screwed up on all the other parts of the driving test he'd have passed me just because I could park that beast. 🤣🤣
Amazing how beautiful the front bumper and grille look. Like the day it was built!
2 vids in one week.... Awesome!
I hope you’ve enjoyed them!! 🤗
Hey, nice job on that Electra!!
Thank you!!! 😊
Good job! Well done
Great video budget buildz, amazing work, engine sounds sweet, got some torque as well, looking forward to seeing more of this, happy Easter 👍😀👌
Very enjoyable! Thank you for sharing your hard work! My dad before he passed had a 87 Buick Electra. ❤ it was nice watching you bring it back to life 😎
Love your videos I'd like to see more of that old buick Electra and I like every automobile yall work on and bringing them back to life they deserve to get another chance at life so those who enjoy and love antique cars and trucks can live life and enjoy having something that these auto builders don't have I call old cars and trucks they was the better made ones the real rides of America way back keep up the good work
I love watching your videos
That sounds great happy Easter to you and your family…
That's amazing i have a 63 buick electra convertible
Great work, always enjoy your shows (maybe not quite such a rust bucket next time LOL)
To mutch rust ! But i like a lot what you doing and i can't wait to see the next video. Have a good one Daniel from Switzerland
we used to get those old Buick power trains back when I was a kid and we used to put them in like 1980 cutlas type bodies. they were faster than hell but they would twist the body and the t tops wouldn't close after a week or so of torquing around. we would sell them and a week later, they had a twisted car
Thanks for another great save of these old cars im in texas and i have see a lot of them crushed keep up the great content thanks to you and your dad
Love old Buicks, and this one's a pip. Beautiful model year. Six window sedans are the best! Eagerly waiting for the '64 Electra's return.
Cool ,car,,,also cool video,,,,,,,,,Happy Easter to u ,and ur Familia,,,😄🐰
I was a 19 YO kid just in the Air Force when this old iron was parked. This’ll be fun!
That was amazing , what a smooth and reliable old unit .
Excellent
Good.job cool engine good show 😃👍👍👍👏👏👏❤
I’d use what you guys need then part everything else out, because parts for the old cruisers aren’t easy to find or get. Keep up the great work guys.
Hello from Europe! :)
Hello! 😊 Hope you enjoyed!
Looks like my old Buick I bought in 81.
Surprised to see it was rated at 325hp\ 445tq back in the day, interesting how they put a big cam in it to compensate for the small valves. It'll make a worthy transplant! nice!
Love it
😊😊😊
Nice work
My brother-in -law had one just like that.
Awesome!
🗿💨 these were on the new car lot when I got my tonsils pulled. Hope your child is mending well 🙏 Buick sounds amazing for resting so long. Happy Easter and thanks for sharing
Excellent video Budget Buildz Mike :) , your dad :) yes sometimes certainly things as planned too and Ethonal be around 1999 in fuels and years before that was was lead in gas till 1980's was more ! That 87 or 89 octane gas called Unleaded in not in 90 or higher I have heard or Desiel or Furance Oil or Propane or Natural gas remember in my Auto Mechanics shop classes in High School in 1989 to 1994 years! Happy Easter Weekend to!
Bought sight unseen ... mainly because you can not see most of the rusted away bits lol ...
Speedy recovery for your little helper x
Great video brother it sounds awesome great part's car love you guys keep them coming 👍
In my 50years I've never seen anyone vacuum an engine bay... makes perfect sense of course
I was 9 years old when this car was parked :)
Good job, honestly I like the complete builds you guys do, all the will it run videos on the other channels have really saturated the market on them, you guys have something special going on, I hope it brings more views your way
Peace out awesome video.
Is this a parts car,or can it be rebuilt? I really like this car. You and your dad are doing a good job
Loving the nailhead revivals 😊
Awesome video, its amazing the quality of gas back then vs now! Hope your oldest surgery recovery goes smoothly. God Bless!
Looks Like You Got You're Self A Four Door Sedan For Tow Behind You're RV Camper For Camping Good Work Buddy
Enjoyed the picture show 😊
You Guys Rock !!!
great video
Another good one guys 👍👍
I don't know how I got under the impression that this was gonna be a parts car for the burnt '64. Hoping this one has a chance at revival.
Enjoyed the video. Happy Easter
Sandpaper works just fine on points. No need to remove them unless you just want to
Oh most definitely! Good point 😊Thats how I’ve primarily done it for years. It can be hit and miss sometimes though, trying to get in there to clean. I’ve just found quickly pulling and wire brushing to be very effective.
Really looking forward to an update on the RV
I don't know if it's my headpfones, but the low deep rumble out the exaust is awesome! 19:23
Edit: small typo
it's alive!
You should make a shirt saying not to shabby with one of your cars
Yeah, 1982 they'd have still been using regular leaded gasoline. I ran leaded gas in my old '70 Nova up until '87 or 88' buying it at the local Co-Op.
My dad bought an Electra 225. Not sure what year, but it had a 455. It was super powerful.
Way to go … I love your videos!
Thank you! Really glad you’re enjoying!! 😊😊
Greetings from Detroit
Hey! 🤗 I hope you enjoyed!
42 years is a long time not running
Impressive
Thanks! 😊
a deuce and a quarter with some good tunes in it....
nice electra225 🙂
I see it even has air conditioning. Keep up your good work!
It does! One reason we were very glad to have found it. All of that stuff it virtually non existent and was all burnt up in the 1964 Electra we’re rebuilding! Thank you!! 😊
