Demons can put images and scenes in our imagination and even manipulate our memories. Listen to cases of children where the parents claim their child has past life memories and they even travel to the places they “remember” etc. in an attempt to prove it. Something always ends up not being not quite right and the child ends up distraught and depressed. I used to believe in reincarnation (before my conversion), and was frequently frustrated at how these stories never ended up following through in “proving” their “memories” to be correct. I so badly wanted it to be true. And the demonic want you believing that it’s true too, because then you won’t prepare for the finality of death in this world and strive for eternity in Heaven. If we believe that reincarnation is true, then we can always just make up for the mess that we make of our lives from following our passions, and the hurt we cause others, in our “next life”. A demon’s dream come true for us.
