    Heavily agree on habit 3 with applying the knowledge. I’ve been absorbing knowledge for a while on many things but recently I’ve realized that I got nowhere. Now I’m trying to adopt my own philosophy of “application is power, not knowledge”

    Great video on breaking bad habits and achieving greatness! The concept of addition through subtraction is so profound. I love the analogy of good habits as an accelerator and bad habits as an emergency brake. It really resonates with how we can achieve our goals by letting go of what holds us back. Also, the insights on scarcity mindset, gratitude, prioritizing impact over urgency, connecting dots, and focusing on one task at a time are eye-opening. The discussion on Parkinson's Law and shortening deadlines for increased productivity is so practical and applicable. Thanks for sharing such valuable insights, Anthony! Looking forward to implementing these strategies in my life.

    • @AnthonyVicino
      @AnthonyVicino  24 дня назад

      That's a really hard decision to make (and highly personal)...
      But in my experience, it's almost ALWAYS too soon to give up. In most cases, you simply haven't done the total amount of work required to find success.
      But again, only you can know for certain if you've done the work.

    Hey Anthony, there is a recent news story about shortening output times in the news cycle. Elon Musk bought Twitter. It had three server farms. As a cost savings Elon wanted to reduce size and complexity of Twitter, down to a pair of server farms. Engineers and general employees were giving him blowback that it would be impossible in less than a year. Then, less than 6 months. Then, arguing back and forth. One night Elon and a few helpers showed up. They severed all connections, with a pocket knife. The next morning 98% of the employees at that location, were terminated. At last reports, nothing major happened.

      Passengers on the Titanic continued playing cards in the gaming room after it was announced the ship was sinking.
      Playing cards helped them relax and cope with the stress.
      Unfortunately, this relaxing activity did nothing to solve the underlying problem (the ship was sinking) and by the time these people decided to do something to solve their actual problem... it was too late.
      As a result, 70% of those onboard (1,517 people) died.
      There's nothing inherently wrong with playing video games...so long as you aren't using it as a means for disconnecting from the things in your life that actually require attention.
