That is probably a joke. A Smash player would know her name is Samus, but might not know Metroid. The reverse is true for a Metroid player.

I bet, by the time we finally get a sequel to Fusion, Samus will have absolutely zero surprise when Ridley comes back, she won't even question it, after a long battle she'll just obliterate him into complete and absolute nothingness without any trace of him remaining anywhere and she'll be all, "Can't wait to see him again tomorrow."

1:57 in Prime 1 there's a section where you can read pirate data that talks about their efforts to recreate Samus' morph ball to hilariously horrific effect. Complete with corpses from the failed attempts. Nice little lampshading by Retro.

@Zachary Erickson: Metroid Blast in Nintendo Land was actually a surprisingly fun game. I mean, no full Metroid, of course, but I take what I can get and Metroid Blast was certainly entertaining for as long as it lasted.
This is actually one of the least mean Honest Trailers I've seen.

Jason Axl Belmont they just released a star fox game for wii u last year, and I swear it's not as bad as everyone says it is.
Yeah, they released a new Star Fox game last year (which I haven't played because I skipped the Wii U) but based on the overall reception, it looks like it's going right back into the vault.
That hurt me too, as a long time fan of both KI and the old PM games :'( :'(

Hey for the next April first, can you do a Honest Trailer for Pong.
The games were never complete until they added the "ball" to the title.
Other M is an extremely well done game storywise into how Samus feels. She's human, she's dealt with loss. Personally it resonated with events in my life that made me appreciate Samus even more and become more of a role model. She became more than just some pretty woman in a spacesuit killing aliens.
It's also funny how the majority of people who really complain about Other M are guys. It's either too emotional for you with "daddy problems" (which most of you probably have yourself) or her voice isn't emotional enough. "Anime enough" was the term someone used with me. Sorry folks, but a BA Bounty Hunter isn't going to tell you of her events and have to sound like an emotional mess. She's collective, she's reflective, and she's aware of her calling. Y'all need to go be shallow somewhere else. Samus is fine with or without you. I'm glad they made her more human.

The ball works because Samus's suit turns her body into light/energy, which is why she kind of glows when she's in morph ball mode.
Let's get an honest trailer for Battlefront II (Classic 2005), since it just got multiplayer again.

One of the best 3ds titles in ages I absolutely loved every minute of the game, now I want more metroid I hope they do a 2d metroid for the switch after prime 4
I've got some bad news for you from the future, we got the 2D Metroid but Prime 4 is in development hell, so we have no idea when or if it'll come out.

I don't think Doomguy is that powerful without that armor, while Master Chief has been enhanced from the inside out by Earth's global military's wetworks division.
However, never really played Doom before, so I don't know.

TheCrazyFereldan Depends on the circumstances. Samus would annihilate him at mid-range. At closed-quarters melee range (she can't Space Jump away for range, and MC has powerful melee hits) or long range with no way to Morph Ball safely through any tunnels (as MC is a proficient sniper), he'd win. He'd also win a war of attrition, as his shields regenerate, but if he couldn't get away, she'd win, as her shields have a WAY higher maximum charge. Basically MC is more of an adaptible glass cannon, while Samus is tankier and more mobile.

I know I'm biased towards Metroid (just look at my picture), but as observed in Other M and I guess Samus Returns, she's a really good close-quarters fighter and can dodge really well.
Master Chief has the best technology that humanity has been able to muster in the 26th century in the form of his armor, but Samus has Chozo technology (basically full on Forerunner tech) and she was trained by both the Chozo at a young age (not to mention genetically modified) and the Galactic Federation in her early adult years. Master Chief couldn't really harm her with conventional armaments such as bullets even from the most powerful sniper rifle, I will say that his best bet is using Covenant as well as Forerunner technology.

I remember discovering a log in the phendrana drifts pirate fortress which described them trying to work out how to create a morphball but all that happened was a bunch of space pirates becoming horribly disfigured.
