The Ultimate Sith Edition has the extremely non-canon bonus levels where you get to do things like murder Obi-Wan and turn Luke to the Dark Side. Those were worth the price of the game on their own.

@@dungeonguy88 Dooku was playing the long game. I think of all Sidious' apprentices, he had the most potential to successfully overthrow his master... eventually. If only because he was the only one who shared Sidious' ability to manipulate and play the politician. Unfortunately for him, Anakin came along.

Here’s why I loved this game: it was the FORCE unleashed. All the other SW games made lightsabers and/or blasters primary weapons. This was the only game that actively made The Force your strongest weapon. Even the lightsaber action was designed to be an extension of the The Force. That in my mind made the game incredibly epic.

I worked at lucas arts during the making of this game, I was on another project but my co-worker who was on that team told me that the leveling up of force powers was added in as one of the very last things, thats why force upgrades were kinda meh.

I actually loved Force Unleashed and Force Unleashed 2. They came out when Star Wars content was needed badly on console.

What's funny is they both the Clone Wars film and the TFU came out like a month apart from each other, but neither the production team knew the other was planning to do that.
Using the Force to “play“ with stormtroopers was the the thing that got me interessested in this game to bei honest xD
I'm a bit annoyed that his demonstration was just moving a trooper into a shielded door, rather than holding him in the way of the Death Star.

Wait, you found the difficulty frustrating? How did you even survive Dark Souls?
There is even an easy mode, for plebs. But yeah, the second boss is always pretty hard, because you're pretty weak by then.
It's not that it's extremely hard. It's that it forces you to actually play the game and the only fun part of the combat system is playing with defensless enemies
I didn't think it was difficult.
Dark Souls is at least entirely designed around difficulty and learning to exploit boss weaknesses. Force Unleashed just ramps up enemy durability and damage to the point where its clunkiness starts working against it.
I didn't have any trouble and I played on the Wii where you have to fight the controls as well as the enemies.

@@tobyjohn4682 It wasn't all that bad. Honestly, it's biggest fault was how painfully short it was compared to the first one.
@@alexandersturnn4530 to me it was a bunch of dumb fun and I loved it I felt like a power house every second I was playing it. I didn't get to finish the first game cause a was borrowing it but the second game is one of my favorite games.
Still to this day, the only semi-official portrayal of Leia as a fully fledged Jedi.

Nooo, the first game was never meant to even have a sequel. Let it rest, or maybe remaster it to look amazing.
They will never make a third game, The Force Unleashed is not a part of Disney's continuity. It would contradict Star Wars: Rebels.

@@sheadoherty7434 of course there are people who have always liked them, which is fair enough, but I think they've obtained a sort of ironic fanbase in recent years because some people need to cling onto the idea that Disney = bad, all other Star Wars = good.
jmckendry84 Meh most people don’t actually consider episodes 1 and 2 good films. People enjoy parts of them because they have fond memories of them and find them ironically charming. People like episode 3 because besides the romance plot and anakins sub par acting it’s actually a pretty decent movie. On the other hand the Disney films don’t have the same ironic charm as episode 1 and 2 but are equally terrible.
To be honest I think it's got a lot to do with the fact that when the prequels came out the adults had all seen the originals and were looking at it from the view of already being Star Wars fans and these new films were really different and kind of silly and not what they expected, whereas all the people who were kids when the prequels came out are now adults and they didn't go into those films from the same perspective and generally have positive opinions or at least nostalgia. So when the prequels came out the general consensus was they were bad, but now the kids who liked them are adults and you can't just say the prequels are bad and assume everyone will agree. And now you see the "prequel kids" and the original fans reacting in just the same way to the Disney sequels and I suspect we'll see the exact same thing happen in another 15 years.

My save file glitched in this game, none of my force powers drained the blue bar.
Game was much more fun after that. I loved grabbing the last stormtrooper alive and just repeatedly smacking him into the floor until he died.

As soon as the game forced you to try and pull this Star Destroyer from the sky I gave up on it after countless tries. Apparently they thought making that particular mission almost impossible for mouse and keyboard was a good idea...
I played this on the Wii so the levels and boss fights looked really different.

It's almost a different game, proxy doesnt become a bad guy in the wii one which is so much better
Don't forget that only the PSP version of this game had the ability Force Maelstrom, which was actually a really cool ability relatively speaking.

My favorite thing to do when I was playing the first force unleashed was levitating the stormtroopers and holding them in place while the Death Star fired its laser. The stormtroopers turned to dust in an instant.
Fun fact: the wii version and Xbox version are different games

Still love these games. Even the second one is my guilty pleasure. The dlc where you play as the Dark Apprentice and kill ewoks and all the heroes is the best part in my opinion

I love how TFAII went the Kingdom Hearts II route and gave him double sabers. I guess that's why it took them so long to come out with Fallen Order.

Love this game! Just pure, Force-destructive fun. Still not over Disney discontinuing the Expanded Universe, but they haven't wiped away anything. The EU is still my Star Wars. I've given the new stuff a shot, but nothing's really hit me the same way. At this point, I just don't care about the Disney era, anymore. Or, as I've taken to calling it, the Dark Times.

Form V is an uncommon Lightsaber style but Starkiller is the second of Vader's apprentices to make primary use of it. I think it was probably coincidental because acceptance of TCW wasn't as universal back when this came out as it is now and so the developers had no idea that Snips uses Shien style too.
I love this game but the Star Destroyer part was awful. Anyway, I really want a Force Unleashed 3.
What was bad about it?
I liked that you actually grabbed and turned the thing, but it was frustrating fighting off the waves of TIEs.
That was my favorite part in the entire game.
I wouldn’t say that Disney wiped out the Expanded Universe, they decanonized it but it’ probably stronger than ever since it’s actually good unlike the garbage that Disney has been turning the franchise in to.

Weird parallel. Both Sam Witwer's Starkiller and his Darth Maul pull a star destroyer out of the sky using the force.
