The "Independence Day" level was my favorite.
I loved that level for being a level in all range mode, but you didn’t have your wingmen screaming for you to save them every 10 seconds.

Neglected Franchise is far better than a Murdered franchise...I'm looking at you EA.
***** Don't forget the last Army of 2 games. Took a decent and enjoyable shooter (which there is a sore lack of) and murdered the shit out of it by taking everything the series was known for (teamwork/camraderie/light-hearted action and humor) and shot it in the face.

aeterna789 Thats actually EA's strategy. Buy a company whose doing well and has loyal followings, make a game every year until most of the original dev's leave because of the shoddy quality and stress, replace them with nameless EA peeps, bury franchise when the fans finally realize it sucks now.

Still one of my favorites. I remember the game was so quick to beat myself and friends would try and bet each others time. Good times.Great video!

Well, it probably would've been a more developed series if it wasn't for . . . Star Fox Adventures. No matter how many mushrooms you fed the little shit, he just kept hounding you for more.

+bloodraven432 you can't blame SF Adventures, blame Nintendo for the change. I find the game to be good as Star Fox games good since I was introduced to the series with Adventures. The series did develop with Assault and then went down hill with Command being a more fan fiction like game with it's endings which 7/9 suck (except for Goodbye Fox and Krystal and Lucy) N64 3DS which I don't know why, but to make HD remakes of N64 games, and Zero which does the same thing but differently from N64 3DS.

One of my favorite Nintendo games of all time. Definitely needs more love nowadays. Very hilarious trailer, and great homage to the game. I laughed at the remark about the "Rumble Pack."

I loved the independence day ripoff level, it was one of my favorites because it was just wipe open dog fights that weren't on rails and you had tons of enemies to kill. It was the best, feeling like you were part of this big epic battle. :)

+ValleyoftheKings64 Fortuna is actually just like Earth with a different set of continents. You were either in an arctic zone or in a spot experiencing winter in 64. In Assault, it looks like the rain season in a forest, or what would qualify as Spring.
+Alex Leonardi Fortuna in 64 is actually Fichina. There was a mistranslation and it was fixed in the 3D remake.
Mega Victini I would have been okay with it just being an arctic area, considering it is a planet and not a town.

You know a game awesome when play through it a lot. I can't even count how many times or ways I beat Star Fox 64. It had multiplayer too! Games back then were fun over graphics, now it's graphics and dlc over fun.

There was a submarine level?!? I played every single level, was that some locked secret map or something?
The submarine level (Aquas) is a level that you need to get a "Mission Accomplished" status on Sector Y to reach.
To get Mission Accomplished on Sector Y, you need to get a hit count of 100+, including the final boss.
If you don't know how to get to Sector Y, you need a Mission Accomplished status on Corneria. To do so, keep Falco alive and fly through the seven green arches on the lake (you'll know them when you see them).
LoL. You didnt play anywher near every level if you never played Aquas. There are different routes in the game;
Noob
Easy
Intermediate
Hard

igoronline The tanks are actually pretty decent in multiplayer, especially vs Arwings because the ground targets are harder to hit. But yeah, not great in story mode.

Plus the fact that braking in the Landmaster causes it to come to a dead stop. Combine with turn + side roll, you could pretty easily evade close-in Arwings.
Still not as good as going on foot in multiplayer though. No lock-on, but a minimum speed of zero mph and easy use of buildings for cover.
