Being honest, the best way to consume Black Cover is the manga. The anime is bearable but the animation can lack in a lot of fights. I don't know about the later episodes but up until I stopped around episode 80 to 85 the animation in the fights were underwhelming to say the least.
Asta's voice is pretty annoying early on, but if you can sit through the meaninglessly high pitching, they get rid of it later on. Since the feedback for the voice was quite negative, they just leave it without adding too much in terms of effects.

3 years ago I used to dislike BC just because it felt way generic, I was completely wrong, every character has its own development and importance in the series, Asta actually needed his teammates to win strong enemies, and the entire elven arc was so interesting, caught me off guard.
This was exactly me.
I liked Black Clover from the start and yes it did feel generic and cliché from the start but it gave me huge Natuto vibes so watched it anyway. The main reason I watched it was because it was getting a lot of hate for dumb reasons but understandable reasons so I gave it a chance and fell in love 🥰

i love abt black clover is that the development of it is not all about asta only, it focuses on other characters too. and about the skull, u will be very surprise on the story behind it. i can say that the pigtail hair girl is one of the best female characters in shounen out there, especially in the manga right now, it's going crazy. must check it out!

Spoiler: I think one of the best characters is Finral, that boy has improved a looot. He literally went from being a coward and merely transportation, to defying Langris and making himself stronger. He really has gone far, in my opinion.

Personally I love Black clover from start to finish. Animation is rough af first because the studio prioritized Boruto before it, but once its popularity rose they put more animators on it. Best new gen #goatclover

9:27 the animation is the animation of a weekly anime, its quite decent but its not on the level of seasonal animes, BUT when it has its high moments the animation does get better, the big fight scenes are a joy to watch

@@rodrick7004 jolyne was alright in my opinion. She wasn't very active if you ask me. Noelle supported the cast and helps but I found that the side characters took the stage.

The animation is OK for the most part, however it has some weird moments but what can you expect from a weekly long running Shonen. Major fights are well animated tho 🔥🔥

the problem Black Clover suffer is actually just a horrible schedule since the Studio do too many anime at once and the fact Black Clover animation team is very small

No fillery character, everyone gets developed into the story. Its crazy how much atention this mangaka pays to secondary characters.

I'd recommend the dub its excellent through out the show while in the sub Asta takes awhile to be good with many agreeing that it takes about 20 to 30 episodes for him to get good.

Facts 😭
1. Subs all the way. Asta's VA gets better as the show goes on and becomes really good IMO
2. I'd say that almost all characters have importance and get fleshed out and developed really well.
3. The animation gets spotty at times, but does improve as the show continues.
4. The fights are POG especially in the final arc. If for some reason you choose not to watch the show, you must give the fights a go.
5. Marriage in shonen.....Naruto.
Its a worthwhile show with many satisfying, wholesome and emotional moments. Its personally one of my absolute favorites with some amazing characters. Yami when you meet him, is an absolute chad and is an instant GOAT.
Yami is one of the current best characters of Jump in my opinion, the way he teaches his squad members how to get stronger physically and morally is outstanding.
I like the dub decently until the thing with yami (not trying to spoil it)

People always complaining about asta's va in the beginning but i've never really bothered to much. its Unique and its much different than other voice actors. I actually really loved his voice in the beginning and even now

Black clover has the best openings in anime, also as for me black clover is the best Shonen there is today, in terms of everything like characters, story, pacing etc, the only problem is the lack of animation at the beginning, but nonetheless, the animations is stepping up in the previous arcs specially th spade kingdom arc....
These openings are great but Bleach has better openings imo
The animation is like that because they kept releasing every episodes every week.
Hopefully the current manga arc will be seasonal when it's animated because the fights are insane

Episode 7 or 8 is where I starting getting comfortable with astas voice in the sub. Now, I wouldn't watch it any other way. Went back and started rewatching and his voice feels right. Almost lost hope until my friend told me not to and I'm glad I listened.

I say stick with it until at least episode 25. That, in my opinion, is when it started getting good. The arc starting episode 40 is when it got OFF THE RAILS good.

Honestly I don’t know what else Asta VA has done but him voicing Asta has probably helped him reach the point where him screaming sends chills down my spine. In other words he excels significantly as the show goes on.

The english dub is solid if your prefer that, and sub is great too.
The Dub version of Black Clover is my all time favorite from any other anime. The power in all of the voice actors fit so well with their intended character. Just by the voice alone you can tell what their personalities are. Not to mention, Asta's voice in the Dub is way more suitable than the sub. Asta in the original is terrible to listen to, like he's a 10 year old child with growth spurt problems while Asta in the Dub is much more bearable and actually suits his age better. Trust me his voice gets better in the latter half too.
Personally I prefer dub for this anime, I think that for me its a lot easier to follow along, plus I like the voices given to each character better than in the sub

Asta's va gets better as the anime progresses soooo you probably wont encounter the same scream you heard in ep 1
Reminder that sometimes the animation could get wonky and stiff but it gets better in like the final season and fights

I personally watch the dub because it is easier for me to follow along with what is going on since the series is quite long and action packed. I am not very far into the series but I think the dub is good and a lot of the cast fit the roles they where given.
I think when it comes to watching anime it is more up to personal preference as to whether watch in sub or dub.

I’ve been watching the dub and I actually love the voice acting. They do a fantastic job with this series.
SUB! It does get better i swear. I didn't wanna watch the show just for Asta's voice, but after 8 or so episodes it's not annoying anymore.
Black Clover holds a very special spot in my heart, I know it starts out a bit too generic and that sometimes the story have some problems, but I think everyone should give it a chance, the characters transpire charisma and most of them get some kind of development, or at least get more mature, even the adult ones, to the point that there are barely any character I dislike or forget about. The fights, the powers and twists are also very good and entertaining, so before you give up after 3 episodes, I urge to keep going on, sio you can have one of the best experiences modern shonen can give you.

It's been years since I read the manga, and I never get into the anime because of Asta's voice so I can't help you there x)
But if you want openings to react too, less known from what I saw, I have some ^^
My favorite one would be Fruits Basket. 5 openings, very different from shonen stuff.
There's also Pandora Hearts, with 1 op, Wolf's Rain, with 1 op, Letter Bee, with 2 op, D.Gray Man with 5 op, the different adaptations of Negima with 3 or 4 op...

I watched dub and I have to say it's really good. People complained about sub Asta's voice being annoying. In the dub he sounds really good and Yami is actually voiced by Chris Sabat (Vegeta, Piccolo, All Might and Zorro's dub voice)

Normally i don't really do this cuz I think people should watch it in whatever language they prefer, it's not like the language matters after all, however, there are a select few Anime where I actually do recommend the dub, because it's really good.
Black Clover is one of them, if only because Asta's voice in the dub is way less annoying.
