you should definitely watch Black Clover. The animation isn't consistent but what you're seeing is pretty much the best it gets. That said, I never found the animation to be so bad that it ruined it. The story is great, the pacing is good, the characters amazing - the manga is fire. Don't let the haters tell you this one is not worth your time, many of us have been so glad we gave it a chance.

Yeah, like, I realized there are some 'goofy' animation scenes in underwater temple arc, AFTER I watch reactions on RUclips... It's so blended in that you don't even pick it up on first watch.

I'm a major BC fan and I'll admit, some episodes can have some bad animation, but with that out of the way, Black Clover is an amazing Shonen Manga/Anime story with virtually every intense fight supremely well animated. The beginning story is a little slow and has a lot of character pieces, it ultimately pays off with a ton of fleshed out, likeable characters and a great plot with a ton of action. BC gets 97/100 from me minus filler. 84/100 with filler, equal to Shippuden in my books.

Yeah man for real black clover is my current favourite anime i didnt mind the filler too much as it was onky a few episodes and to be honest it actually tied into the main story and it wasnt really filler it was anime cannon as tabata was helping the anime studio with the arc however the anime does look a bit jaring in certain scenes ps2 crows im looking at you but overall its an amazing anime that i would suggest to anyone

i disagree with the filler part. Black clover rarely has fillers and if it does the filler's are actually pretty good. They are usually funny and entertaining. It doesn't show excessive fanservice, characters we don't care about, and the captains team royal battle was also a FILLER. imo black clover fillers makes the anime better by a few points.

Black clover animation is a somewhat 50/50 in the beginning but it gets better after ep 21 also Asta VA gets better too as it goes on. Coming from a fan of black clover the main complaint is Asta VA in the beginning. Hopefully you watch it tho because it’s a really good anime to watch.

This fight has a special meaning in the anime and manga because it’s the very first time Yami acknowledges Asta and asks for his help. Usually he calls him “kid” or “little brat” while he’s letting Asta watch him fight bosses and shit. He coaches him and guides him basically. And that was the very first time that Yami is shown in, in which he was able to rely on Asta and let Asta fight alongside him as buddies.
I stopped reading after the first line because it might spoil the show for me as I Have started watching it. Episodes 1,2,3,4,5 are out on the channel

The way Dante's defeated in the end is absolutely brilliant as well.
The issue of this being one to watch if you haven’t seen the series is due to yami calling him Asta and them properly fighting together. It’s the pinnacle of the story of Asta becoming stronger in the series. And it’s one fight that imo deserves knowing the story to properly grasp. Other fights aren’t as story bound to feel the impact imo

One thing that black clover does that’s impressive, is they will animate the entire body of the person in scenes rather than focusing on just the upper half, because it’s “more animation and difficult” to do the entire body. But I’m in love with it

The show didn't cancelled in the first place, it was way too close in the manga so it's taking a break, it's probably getting a sequel like Naruto: Shippuden, also we don't know if the movie is a continuation arc or just filler, both would be good tho, i think the filler would be about Yami's homeland (the Black bulls captains aka asta's captain) which is Japan! And then the anime is gonna return quickly, hopefully it comes back seasonal cause the arc deservers mad animations, and if it's a continuation arc then we'll get mad goood looking animations but in exchange we'll have to wait along time before the anime comes back after the movie because of manga stuff, enjoy.

Incase you didn’t know, the reason Asta could take out Dante and Yami couldn’t, is because Asta has anti-magic which negated Dante’s body magic, thus Dante couldn’t regenerate from Astas attacks, unlike how he could with Yamis attacks. You can see this by how the cut on Dante’s face stays throughout the fight.
I stopped reading after seeing anti magic because I actually watch the series now. Episodes 1-5 are on the channel

That fight was definitely inspired by Naruto vs Pain and other similar ones like it, but the anime and manga are both good as a whole; people just hate all the yelling but name one anime where the protagonist never yells. Plus the animation is good throughout, but they didn't get a bigger budget until near episode 160 or somewhere around there

I mean if animations a big thing, Black Clover is a weekly anime so it does have very high highs but very low lows, most of these complaints are in comparison to seasonals like Demon Slayer, My Hero and Jujutsu Kaisen. Also on the note of the voice, Its generally considered to get less annoying by max- Arc 3. And after getting into One Piece this year I have to say- Luffy's voice throughout the first 3 arcs was much more ear-grating than Asta's.

black clover is great. asta one of hte best shonen protags and im not just saying that... he really is a great character. earned everything he gets, extremely motivated, healthy rivalries, shonen tropes actually done well. its a great shonen to get into

The Asta yelling problem is for just about 15 episodes. His voice actor was still very new to this profession, and that is why his screaming was annoying

Most people say the demon thing is copying Naruto but it is completely different. The demon is inside the book

Frankly watching this is about the greatest disservice your could do for yourself if you are planning to watch the rest of the show. This is a very late game fight with TONS of spoilers. Most of the things you point out are major reveals along the way.
I promise you I forgot literally everything that happened there. Sometimes I like how my memory is bad. 😂
The animation is inconsistent, it is done by perriot studio same as bleach, Naruto, Boruto, Tokyo ghoul. After episode 40 almost every fight has good animation, the most important episodes have great animation, the reason why people say animation is bad is because there is one arc that has bad animation and people stopped there. But you should watch it is really good IMO

Honestly, the first 10 episodes are the hardest to get through, and they aren't even as bad as a lot of people make it out to be (asta's voice actor aside). After that, it's pretty stellar the the whole way. Only one small batch of CANON filler.

PLS READ FOR A QUICK ANIMATION EXPLANATION: Animation isnt based on budget. Animation depends on the time that their best artists can give them. few good artists can not keep the show on good animation 20 minutes every week. so long running shows like this have a team of people who animate the less important scenes while the better artists get given important scenes to work on usually. i say usually because every now and then they will contribute to normal scenes or will sometimes be unavailable for important scenes thus it isnt always good or bad depending on importance but it usually is.

That being said, that just means Black Clover has you on the edge of your seat without relying on breathtaking visuals.

first 21 episodes are where asta is loud and annoying but they figured out nobody liked that and dulled it down which then made the show that much better. it was only supposed to get 63 episodes but it continued becuase it popped off, so definatly watch it.
