- Finishing up the G35x rear mount turbo project. It is at 7psi until we get it fully tuned out. Then we will push 14psi and tune again. This video is a real basic fuel map and far from finished, AFR's are hitting 10's in places so we have a lot more work to do.
need more intel on this planning on doing this on my HR G35x
Damn much respect for the build this is dope that thing screams good job 👍🏽
Thanks man! It's only at 7psi and hitting 10's AFR in places. Just a rough tune, we are getting ready to put a few hours of tuning in it and go to 14psi soon.
Hey man nice build I have an 04 sedan currently doing a 6mt swap on I’m almost done but I been consider this rear mount turbo for a while and your the only one with this set up for sedans if u have any advice or tips for when I take this project i would gladly appreciate it
There is a lot of cold side tubing going to the front and at first I used a 2.5" intercooler piping kit and couplers. That was fine until I started breaking 12psi and started developing a few leaks. Next build I am welding the tubing so I only have 3 couplers and a lot longer sections. Really getting tuned is the biggest thing to making it work well.
is your turbo rotated in any way how's the fitment? im looking into doing the same i have a 05 G35x sedan
How did you manage to turbo a X? Did you find a bolt on kit or did you have to make a bunch of stuff
Made everything. Nobody makes anything for the X so it's DIY.
I kno this a bot question but how does the turbo not go bad under the car rain, oil feed lines etc
rear mounts are not much different than a turbo in the engine bay. The turbo gets wet under the hood also, maybe not as much. My turbo is in the trunk unlike other rear mounts so it stays nice and dry.
fivepointeightnate is a Rizzy real mount
Is there any way to do a 6 speed manual swap with the awd?
Not that I know of. You can use a 4 speed auto from a VET that is AWD.
So interested! I have 2006 g35x. Cat delete? I was a yoda tech for a long while, and I know platforms are different, any advice from the community? I’d like to accelerate quicker. Thanks ☺️
I was using stock cats even at 12psi. This build and lots of other good info @ G35Driver.com
Just curious how much hp it makes
It was right at 400whp on 10.5psi
I've been looking for something like this for a while now. Here's my question. I have an 04 g35 that's auto, I couldn't afford a manual, but I wanted to know if I could turbo it?
If the auto is in good working order and you put in a shift kit in the valve body it should be fine under 8psi for awhile. I have 5k miles on mine and it's been at 10psi the last 2k.
Manual swap
Can the auto trans handle the additional power?
Has been for 5k miles. Only thing I have done to the tranny is a shift kit.
what is a shift kit?
@@charlie4649 im late to the party but i also would like to know
Do you have more videos of the g35 or other social media where i can see more?
The build is on G35driver.com forums. I put the car back to stock and sold it. We are building a 08' G35x VQ35HR just like it so there will be more video coming soon.
@@fivepointeightnate won't come up anyway you can send the exact link

@@fivepointeightnate thanks bro
I’m lee summit Where at In Missouri are u In and how is the car?
Springfield - I upgraded it to a GTX3582r and 12psi for awhile and then put the car back to stock so I can sell it. Building a 2008 G35x HR with the same turbo parts.
fivepointeightnate nice up I’m boosting my 92 prelude going to be my first boosted car hope it will be fun
@@landongodwin2698 It will be! my first build was a G20 2.0l 4 banger. We have put down 365whp on a stock SR20 engine. Best thing about the 4 cylinder cars is they are very light. Had many of V8 muscle cars come up to me at the track wondering what the hell is under the hood.
And this is auto?
Yes, stock AWD automatic with transgo shift kit
