Yeah me too…was recommended by the legend joe Holland, great channel guys you earned a new subscriber
6:30am sunrise must be nice in the winter. Right now Dec 22 I don’t see any sun until after 11am
You need to build a Smitty sled. It makes pulling through snow much much easier
I really enjoyed this video. No swearing, no alcohol. I didn't think it was possible anymore. Great job.
Thanks so much Steve we really appreciate the kind words!
Yup nice to be able to play the video in the living room with little ones around and not have worry about the language.
Seam sealer. Caulking tube of 100% clear silicone. Caulk seams a few feet at a time, spread along seam and brush in with small brush. Lots of seam sealer tubes out there. I’ve found $7 tube of pure silicone caulking works good.
Love it! Great ideas! Do you find it holds up okay from breaking down and setting up? Really appreciate the idea! We are definitely going to have it for next trip!
It's March here in wyoming and was minus 25 last week. Enjoyed the videos. Our snows are dryer then yours. But thing still get wet. I use extra thick walled industrial trash bags for my sleeping bag and clothing, to keep them dry. At camp I then use them for things to be kept outside the tent. Tent seam sealer will keep those seams from leaking. Or in a pinch rub candle wax in them as well. Keep having fun!
Great ideas! Really appreciate the comment! All things to keep in mind next trip!
Even with a blizzard n nothing but pickerel was still a successful overnight on the ice, stayed warm, caught fish and nobody got hurt.
Exactly! Next time we will hopefully add a few trout! Was a success and we were comfy and warm! Can’t beat it!
Have you guys ever thought about making a smitty sled? Would help pulling those sleds in snow and may make for a good partial video. I finally built one this year and it's a huge difference pulling gear out.
We haven’t but multiple people mentioned it! Could be a fun video how to and learning experience! Thanks for the comment David great idea!
I second the sled lots of videos on ideas and how to but always great to see everyone adding their own twist or way of using it
Smitty Sled, dry bags for sleeping bags, and get a composite auger flyte and an appropriate drill. For the fishing you guys are doing, ditch that gas auger yesterday!
Love all the advice! So true we are looking at new auger options! We just love using things until we need a new one haha so we are stubborn!
I love your channel, so much positivity and fun! I will give you a couple of tips that will hopefully help you out. As others noted make a "smitty" sled with old skis but I would also attach a long rope to the tip of the skis (not to the sled) so that as you pull the tips are pulled upward and don't bury in deeper snow. Also, I pull my sled with a deer drag harness so I'm pulling with just my legs and not my back. Keep up the great work!
Awesome tips! Thank you so much! We really appreciate the advice! We definitely want to build a Smitty sled! We plan to film the process! Thanks so much for the kind comment we really appreciate it!
Wow awsome video you guys rock catch ‘em up
Thanks Kevin! You rock!
Congrats on the 1,000. Time for Skidoo to sponsor your channel 😉
Thanks Barry! Haha right! We can only dream!
Slayin the slime darts! Cool videos!
Haha sure we’re those two days Jay! Couldn’t get rid of um! Thanks for the kind words! Appreciate you tuning in!
Put a set of ski's under the sleds. A "Smitty Sled":) Enjoyed the video.
Thanks so much Robert we definitely need one! We appreciate the comment!
dang slime rockets! i usually toss em for eagle food :P
I know they wouldn’t leave us alone for two days! We still can’t believe we didn’t get a trout!
Bout time for a snowmobile!! ;-)
You aren’t kidding! Haha!
Great video! Keep them coming... 🙂
Thank you so much Daniel!
That is so funny watching all the pickerel action, lol. I had a lot of them on Glendale lake last year and only kept a couple 20 inch fatties that were good eating.
Man usually a money trout spot! Not this trip! We couldn’t buy a trout if we wanted! And we fished super hard and spaced out! Them and pike are great tasting when big enough to be worth it!
So cool you two!
Great video guys! New to the channel, thanks for what you do. The look on her face with the 9th? pickerel was epic...lol
Thanks so much Clyde! We so appreciate it! Welcome to the channel! Haha it was such a gold moment !
Great videos guys! Just stumbled upon your channel when getting excited for ice fishing season.
The amount of gear to go ice camping is kinda nuts. We take our two kids out now and then and it’s an insane amount of stuff. 😂
We’re subscribed! Looking forward to seeing what you do this winter 👍🏼
Thank you so much!! It really is we always try to be as efficient as possible but it always is a ton! Thank you so much for the sub! We are so happy to have you! Welcome!!
a snowdog would help get your gear out and they are fun
Great idea! They look awesome!
You guys really should look into making some smitty sleds to pull your gear out.
Definitely! We are thinking about making one and filming the process! I think it would make a heck of a difference for us!
New Scriber here, Love the content and I am excited to see what your next adventure will be! Tight lines from Minnesota!
Welcome! We are so happy to have you! Thank you so much for the kind words we really appreciate it! We wanna fish the Great Lakes at some point!
Videos keep getting better and better. Great job you two!
Thanks so much Ryan!!!
You guys are determined. A bit crazy, but very determined. Nice video!!
Thanks so much! Shoulda brought “pike “ with us to slay the pickerel even more
New subscriber, great vid, really enjoyed watching. Cheers from Superior’s North Shore! 🇨🇦
Blair! Welcome! We are so glad you enjoyed it and welcome to the family! Thanks for the sub!

Great video guys!!
Thanks so much David!
Nice
Thanks Robert!
Congratulations on your 1000 subscribers. Some good editing keep it up 👍🏻
Thanks so much! Means a lot!
You guys really need to make some smitty sleds. It would make pulling gear out so much easier.
Hey guys. Just discovered your channel. You seem like an awesome couple. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Hey! We are so pumped RUclips brought you to us! Thank you for the kind words! Welcome! So glad to have ya!
I feel the same about pickerel. I’ll target them if I’m taking a bunch of kids out or have my wife with me, but I live near a lot of decent little native trout ponds, so it’s hard for me to want to catch pickerel unless I need a confidence booster haha
Hahah amen to that! We couldn’t agree more! Two full days of them in usual trout “areas” was enough for us to get a little discouraged! Still a blast though!
Fun videos, I’ve seen a few of them now. Has anyone mentioned using anything other then live minnows for trout bait? Night Crawlers , Powerbait. The powerbait may keep them unwanted fish away. Hey keep it up. Thanks from Idaho.
Thanks so much! We use night crawlers as a secondary bait quite often in the past! We never have tried the power bait! May be a fun video fishing for trout with all 3 and comparing! Appreciate the comment so much!
Thanks for another great video!
Thanks so much Jamey!!! Appreciate the kind comment as always!
You two seem to love the chase on the ice. If you want to try another Maine made trap, let me know.
We have had heritage traps before this! What others are you referring too!? We also love trying new gear/ being introduced to Maine made stuff!
@@Fishin4Adventure I'm making traps in the line of the old Max Traps. But with reels with bearings.
So no rattle, no pulsing, etc.
I can set one or two aside for you to try.
Just want to get them in the hands of people that really enjoy the sport
@@ptmmatssc13 we would absolutely love that! And would love to include them in a video!
Yall are cool. I'll subscribe
Thanks Cabo we are glad to have ya!
If you don’t eat the chain pickerel.. they will never go away lol
Right, they actually are good eating !
What lake was this on?
You guys are a great cple fish on
Thanks Jason!!
Just discovered you two! Get content ! Where did you get your fan light ?
Thanks so much Hobbs! Amazon! It is a game changer!!
What kind of trout were you trying for?
Rainbows and Brookies!
ahh, they musta been out deeper that day
Those are mink tracks
What lake were you on?
Megunticook lake!
Hopefully the chain pickerel aren't getting rid of the trout population there.
We hope so too! Don’t worry tho we find them in next weeks video :)
Nice video! Please adjust your music down a touch to match your audio for your next videos. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Thank you! We do try our best to adjust these things! Appreciate the feedback!
😊
Jokes on you guys! It was the same one pickerel the whole time!
Hahahah It sure felt like it!!
I hate pickerel they are fun to catch but not every fish you catch but your channel is great and honestly I live in Maine and I cannot wait for me and my dad to go you do not get enough recognition but anyway happy trails and more brookies hopefully
Exactly! Especially in usual past trout spots! Stay tuned for next weeks video we get onto some good ones finally! Good luck to you and your Dad let us know how it goes! Thank you so so much for the kind words! Keeps us going! Means a ton!
@@Fishin4Adventure Of course and I am going to be honest just found your channel yesterday and you two emanate so much good enthusiastic and loving energy. and I will be tuned in, and I will tell you how fishing goes!! Good luck fishing!!
I like catching pickerel
They are fun! Any fish is fun for us! But we really were trying so hard for a trout so we were getting a little discouraged! But hey a fish is a fish! Still a blast!
