I think I was a little harsh on the Wanted Trait, It's actually pretty good to get some XP and loot from hunters on the regular, haha. 🔔 Social Media 🔔 ► ►Twitter: twitter.com/NorZZaTV ► ►Instagram: instagram.com/NorZZaTV/ ► ►Discord: discord.gg/S5ydpYm
I picked the Space Scoundrel with Neon City Street Rat, Wanted and Serpents Embrace. Basically he was raised on the streets of Neon City, where he fell in with the wrong crowds and turned to following the Great Serpent. As he got older he did a bit of piracy and other legally grey activities (probaby with those same Serpent worshippers) before getting into trouble with the wrong people. With a bounty on his head he decided to lie low until things cooled off, taking up work as a relative nobody at a mining company (where the game starts). ;)
I heard “Wanted” is good because it both creates unique dialogue options AND once you kill the random bounty hunters, you can loot them for decent items.
The religion Traits are essentially worthless. I had Raised Enlightened and it was only mentioned like 3 times in the entire game, 2 of which where when speaking to religion-related NPCs, and none of the 3 mentions were substantial. It's also not even needed to roleplay your character as an atheist, I had a directly contrarian argument with a priest NPC using only vanilla lines, in fact that conversation didn't even have dialogue options labeled (Enlightened) at all. There's almost always vanilla lines to express belief in at least the supernatural, so I'm guessing (Universal) is about the same level of almost-never used. The box of items is just a few starter items so that aspect of it barely matters. Another thing, Alien DNA is also bottom tier AF. The extra max HP and O2 it gives are 1 time flat amounts, not a % increase like the Wellness and Fitness skills. The extra Health becomes negligible fairly quickly, and Trait becomes just worse healing in practice. It's also never mentioned in dialogue, ever, at all, aside if you speak to the doctor who can remove it.
I wanna do a character that focuses on outpost building/surveying and spacefaring, but I have no clue what background and traits fits that bill. Any tips?
There are several backgrounds that can work for this from homesteader to explorer, researcher to long hauler… I don’t think what they offer is that big of a deal since you can unlock skills later anyways. Just pick the description that sounds true to your character. There are good traits for this too! Depending on whether you want better stats for being in space vs on ground, alone or with companion, etc.
My choice was a Soldier, with the traits Terra Firma, Taskmaster (Which is highly underrated) and United Colonies Native. Basically, a tough, no-nonsense patriot UC that gets homesick and physically sick everytime his starship leaves New Atlantis.
Bounty hunter that grew up on the streets of Neon. Drugs and crime ruined his childhood and family. He grew up to hunt the low criminals that push such a lifestyle without realizing just how much he has in common with them. Ironically laws will never stand in his way when taking down lowlifes. He can't look himself in the mirror truly because then he'll see he is just another breed of low life himself. A fallen angel with no true goals for himself. A drifter parading as an anti-hero.
Actually that's the number one trait I wanted is the dream home I thought that's the coolest trait and the one I wanted to go after right away you get your own Mansion all to yourself that's awesome and of course Mansions cost a lot of money just pay it off eventually
I would say Terra Firma and Taskmaster are univerally the best in my opinion. Taskmaster has a pretty good upside and a negligable downside (making money is easy). Terra Firma has a good upside 95% of the time and bad the other 5%. Raised Enlightment and Raised Universal, don't really have a downside. The upside is neglibale though. Some say Extrovert is good but I would avoid it, because the Isolation skill is very strong.
Good points there, but most of you recomendations are actually wrong, as i said not all of them but for example alien dna isone of the worst perks coz the food you eat that give you xp bonus is usless and even if you go to the medicine perk you get 2%xp at max thats one of the worst perks you could take...i agree with kid stuff but is for early ear;ly game or if you wanna have every special item. but all arround 50,50%
@@sayan9432 I'm not reading through them again but I'm pretty sure they all had a negative effect built in or stopped you from using something else which is also a negative effect. Regardless, not taking any is an option.
@@alexclark4792 Dream House , Kids dream and worship the 3 I chose didn't had any negetive effects hence I chose them lol , didn't wanna get in the bad side of something I don't know would effect on my gameplay so chose the all neutral which provided no negetive effets

@@alexclark4792 lmao yes, I just randomly selected anything not having a visible x bar on any of the perks later they huge mortgage was thrown right at my face 😭 , but the 2% don't seems so bad given the amount of items they give u and the guy is pretty hilarious lmao laughed at some of his one line sentences 😂😂

Wanted is so good as a bounty hunter... but possibly not so great if you are playing a pacifist.
@@luzhang2982 I'm probably taking BH with wanted, kids stuff and the one with the the fella from oblivion as a buff to carry weight.
Is it possible to put attributes after making your character

Same but I got dream home and adoring fan

I tried to my my character look like R.J. MacReady, from the thing, I think I did a good job.

Honestly probably going to go wanted just for the role playing immersion as well as the random action, not so much the perk itself.
Bro put wanted in the worst. Ngl I saw 4 random different videos with different play styles and each one highly recommended wanted.
I haven’t played it yet but I see why it’s being compared to Mass Effect. That’s my favorite sci-fi, space opera series. I love it.
Probably because of the choices and space.

Yes it is you basically have a huge outpost without any outpost skills 125k sounds like a lot but you are a millionaire by level 25
StarField is a Masterpiece it’s really really good
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m enjoying it a lot.
Very good game, definitely definitely not a masterpieces though.
it is fr hate all you want if u fly long enough u can fly to other planets. no other game did that its a good game

I'm glad so many people are enjoying it but it's objectively NOT a masterpiece 😂
I accidently chose 0 traits, then again Im still enjoying the game so doubt ill reset now.
You can always get certain traits in game if you want to change the three.
I like looting and selling but theres no background with scavenger, commerce, and weightlighting which would be perfect
It’s called long hauler….
This is one of those games, kinda....kinda like cyberpunk, which will be an amazing game in a year or two.

Were they trying to give us some nostalgia with that blonde spiked hair lmao. Just like the annoying elf adoring fan in the best game ever, Oblivion
the adoring fan kinda looks like the dude from Oblivion lol
I’m 99% positive that’s exactly who he’s supposed to be 🤣
It is, devs put it in as a joke
That’s exactly who it is. Really cool to see it’s like seeing patches in a souls game
Because he is! :)
What if I forgot what background i chose. Is there any a way I can see what I chose?
Press start to go on your main screen then y
Anyone know how to remove sensitivity acceleration on console?
The only way to do it is if the game has the option too.
