This song was on their "Rage for Order" album. The whole album is awesome. "I Will Remember" and "I Dream In Infra Red" I think were my favorites on the album (along with this song)

1986 RFO, this is empire live tour. You've got to love the guitar harmonies on Rage for Order and the singing.

Rage For Order was WAY ahead of its time. You guys need to listen to the actual album, I know you will appreciate all the musicality it offers, and as usual the diversity of the tracks. Amazing album.

Agreed “Rage for Order” is insane. Chemical Youth we are rebellion and The Whisper are my next favorite songs from that Album after Walk in the Shadows.

This is from the Building Empires tour. The band was hitting their peak. This is also the last tour to feature the entire Mindcrime album ...which is really it's own show within the concert. I saw them on this one. The Rage tour was also great with Walk in the Shadows being one of their first radio hits.

I love watching you both fall in love with Queensryche like so many of us here. I would highly recommend reacting to the Queenrych - I Will Remember (Live '92), or any of their songs from their MTV Unplugged from 1991/92. They were truly amazing playing acoustically along with Geoff Tate's incredible vocals!

  • @Ilikeryche

"The Whisper" would be my favorite from this album.

Ha! I knew QR would reel you both in!
I love this song, glad you choose to do it.
As good as Queensryche is live, the studio version of this (yes, vampire song, subtly done) is the best! The youthful energy in Geoff's voice is just bursting out in the studio version! Always makes me smile!
Yeah, how DOES Geoff run around, jump, bounce, spin, and still keep his voice steady??
"The Killing Words" from MTV Unplugged 1992 is super good too! Especially the part after to guitar solo!
    Sigh, so many songs!
"The Thin Line" is another great live performance.
    "Breaking the Silence" too!
Will be watching for your next QR reaction!

This was an extra encore they did while filming the Operation Livecrime video. This was in Milwaukee and the cameraman that was set up 1 row next to us was tearing down when they came back out because It wasnt on the setlist he had (i know because he gave it to me :). 11/22/1988

Rage for Order came out after The Warning. It was their 2nd album released in 1986. (Not counting Queen of the Ryche EP from 1983)
This video is from their 1991 Empire tour. You nailed it Cullen. Love how much you guys love Queensrÿche. Cullen listen to the studio version, in my opinion it’s much better.

Much better the studio version or some bootleg version of the time (1986)
In 1991 Tate is no longer able to sing as before.

QueensRyche was a unique band for the time ,thought provoking at times, not mediocre ,one of my top favs when Geoff was still frontman, since then it's been Nightwish as #1, QR is an example of what was once a great band that could not get past their personal squabbles and egos .

  • @benitokamelo252
    @benitokamelo252 Год назад +5

I like the new intro and the thumbnail!
This is an earlier song, the 1st track from Rage For Order, which I say is the "vampire" album since they looked like vampires during the tour (86'-87') and also some songs have the vibe to it. Give it a full listen u both.
Here the band became visually glam, but musically more experimental since has nothing to do (except this track) with older stuff.
By the way, there's some relation between this and Mindcrime. They recycled the lyrics from one unreleased song called "From the Darkside" (which is available on RUclips) to do some verses of "I Don't Believe In Love".
Well guys, give it a listen. In my opinion, the highlights from this album are "Neue Regel", "The Killing Words" MTV Unplugged version from 1992, and the final ballad "I Will Remember You". Also, they did a cover from a Dalbello's pop song called "Gonna Get Close To You".

One of my favorite Queensryche songs from one of their best albums. There isn’t a bad song on the album and this was song #1. 🤘

It was a commercial song composition, the other album tracks were much more diverse and interesting and intriguing ... Screaming in Digital and I Dream Infra Red are incredible creative masterpieces while I Will Remember and Whisper were beautiful pieces of music. The MTV unplugged version of I Will Remember is a master class of signing by Geoff.

If you liked this, another song from the same album you will absolutely LOVE is The Whisper. There's an absolutely incredible live performance of it you can find - it was recorded at a show in Montreal in 1986. The audio quality isn't the best, but you can clearly hear how amazing Tate's vocals are live with absolutely no studio edits or tweaks. And the band is incredibly tight as well:

This was shot during the building empires tour. It was performed after they did the entire operation mindcrime album. This was after his voice training, and he didn't go quite as high as he did earlier in his career.

I wouldn’t say that, because how good they are live. Yes, I agree the studio recorded version is better, but not by much. The reason why, is because they sound so close to their studio recordings. They’re extremely tight when they were a band together at that time. I was a big fan and went to a couple of their concerts in the very early 90’s. Based on the difficulty level of their songs, I don’t think no band sounded better live compared to their studio recordings.
