I think Sean is like the Ned Stark of this show. Plenty of people was surprised by their deaths too but as the show goes on, other characters are developed more strongly & totally worth it in the end. Or it can go either way with Elliot secretly infiltrated the masters while Sean completely hidden all this time (like Mr Robot plot).
You left out Billy Wallace, the Brother he is definately coming back and he warned Elliot. Besides he is a quiet but rather a drug fuelled pyscho in the series. Look when they were asked to shoot the man whose head was covered with a bucket, it was Bill who did it, not Sean.
I like this theory. A clean, focused Billy could be the one. The fact that he set up the false ID's for him & his sister 5yrs prior shows some kind of forward thinking and planning. The way he threatened Elliot had me thinking... Hmmm possibly.
Mary Ann is going to be the most ruthless in the second season imo. She have nothing to lose anymore with her husband & first son died. Meanwhile Elliot gonna be in toughest spot, struggling to be that goodie lad or that baddy chad LOL

want to point out that in the TV show Hannibal Spoilers Dr. Frederick Chilton is shot in the same manner through the Cheek and later on it is revealed he did survive. So going off of TV logic Sean Wallace could still be alive the building was immediately set upon by Police so I'd imagine he would be provided quick medical attention. I hope for Sean's survival, if I was the Writer however I'd leave that revelation until the final of season 2 so that it leaves off on a cliffhanger for season 3. Kind of like what they did with Catelyn Stark. 😏 The best first move for Sean is to retreat to Kurdistan and meet up with Lale with her help he'll be able Figure out his next move and be provided shelter and once he has his plan all figured out he returns to London. Even though Lale said in her own words "I'm not like you." "I only wanted to hurt one man." "All the other bloodsheds because of you." I'd imagine Lale would be willing to at least asset Sean until he returns to London. (Side note, don't blame Sean for falling in love with 🥰Lale. The shows to predictable. That's why I wasn't the biggest fan. Sean wasn't the lead I wanted Elliot was good but over all the shows just meh. Kudos for the fight senses though. America likes believable violence probably why it didn't do so well here. At least from my point of view
Respect your opinion, but I just binged the whole first season and after coming in fresh to this show. It's more than anything I have seen in the past decade of generic action films. This is why the Western media is mostly dominated by the superhero genre. Good Action, suspense and grounded storytelling is a rarity here in the US and this is coming from a born US citizen.
