I wish Leupold would make a line of small, non tactical scopes for hunters.

They do. Mind you, the features that help professionals in tactical settings also help hunters bag meat. Hunting scopes have traditionally had capped turrets, but more and more we are seeing exposed turrets as hunters get more proficient and take game at longer ranges.

I have two upper quality rifle scopes. One from Leuopold and the other from Nightforce.
Which one do you think has the better light gathering property and is in fact the better ‘scope?’

🕵️‍♂️ What Am I Looking For In A Hunting Scope? 👀 Durable, Lightweight, SIMPLE, Good Tracking, and Affordable - Like Your Old VX-II 2-7x and VX-III 2.5-8x! 🤑 As You Get Older, Your Eye Pupil Doesn't Dialate As Much and Optical Quality Isn't As Important! 😯 Also, I DON'T LIKE the Power Adjustment Lever Knob On Your Newer Scopes! 🤮 Good Hunting Scopes Are Simple Ones and The "Thick Plex" in a Straight 2.5x, For Quick Target Acquisition and Good Eye Relief, is What I'm Looking For! 🧐 If I Wanted "More Features" and The "Best Glass" (Which Isn't What I'm Looking For), I Would Just Buy A Schmidt and Bender! 😎 So, Let's Use the "Kiss Rule" and Keep the Prices Affordable! 🙄

These scopes are going to be on a lot of rifles in 2024. They aren't bending the crap out of the light to make the scopes compact, so I imagine the image quality is going to be really good.

🤯 Again, If I Was Interest in Optics and "Bells and Whistles" , I Would Choose "Schmidt and Bender" - Because They Are The Best Rifle Scopes in the Industry! But, I Am Not Focused On "Optical Performance"! I Want a "Budget Scope" That is Durable and Simple! If They Can't Give Me "That", Then I'll Take My Business Elsewhere! It Really is "That Simple"! I Hope That They Listen Better Than You Do? 🤪
