The mistakes I talk about in this video will prevent you from having lucid dreams, so make sure you avoid them at all costs. I know a lot of people who have been trying to lucid dream forever but nothing was working, because they were making a huge mistake without knowing.

1- You're not motivated enough (you have to believe that you will lucid dream)
2- you're not trying new things (try all the techniques like MILD ADA etc.)
3- you're not sticking with the routine (do all the things u have to lucid dream everyday)
4- you're trying techniques on the wrong time (have a proper sleep cycle)
5- you're expecting too much (it requires alot of practice so be patient)

I keep dreaming that I’m lucid dreaming
wait what...
My simple solution that I use: do a reality check every time you think of lucid dreaming during the day
Same, that happened to me last night
I did once
You can learn how to meditate because it helps you set yourself in the current time and focus on what's going on now, rather than what's gonna happen. Instead of constantly being aware that you might be dreaming, you're actually expecting the dream to come at you, but it's not going to happen. When you dream, you think about lucid dreaming because in real life you think about lucid dreaming. But in real life you have to make reality checks exciting at least, because then that excitement will put more aggression towards your belief that you might in fact be dreaming, so you'll start to doubt. Basically, don't expect lucid dreams. You might as well be dreaming right now.
One thing I made up in order to make lucid dreaming reality checks more exciting was to put my hand up in a rock 'n roll hand sign which is a sign to which I applied the ability to fly, so whenever i show that sign, i expect to fly, and if i fly, i'm dreaming.

Whenever I try to lucid dream after waking up from an alarm I always fall back asleep before performing the techniques
Put your alarm clock/phone further away, when it rings you have to move more and then do techniques

My problem is that when I do a technique I can’t fall asleep anymore even when it’s 4am
@@DannyAQ Put your alarm clock closer and when you wake up, don't open your eyes, close alarm, do technique that doesn't include a lot of body movement and keep on sleeping, but it depends on what kind of technique you are using(do it all with closed eyes)
I don't know why but when i set alarm i can't wake up even if the volume is high, i don't know if it is because of my phone or i just can't wake up (probably only 4 times) . I already set a goal last december to do fild and set alarm but i can't really wake up.

I want to visit nostalgic places from my childhood
Don't do that, your brain will mix up those dream memories with your actual memories so when you think about your past you wont be able to tell if it was real or just a dream
Everytime I visit place from my childhood it turns into a nightmare
I had only 2 Lucid dreams in my life, once I was floating over a street and I saw a dog looking monster and it scared me a lot and I became lucid and tried it to dissapear but couln't and I woke up, the second time I was in a strangers house and someone told me I was dreaming and I did a reality check and my finger passed trough my hand, I started to calm myself pretty well and started looking around and the dream started to become blurry and more blurry and then I lost lucidity.
I always thought when I'm finally in lucid dream I will get too exited and wake up, but when I actually got my first lucid dream I was like "Mehh... " and I just started to walk around in my school
I had few lucid dreams one was: I started walking down the stairs and my house was collapsing right before i wanted to do reality check because i was sure its all dream. I was so sure it is all dream and then tried to rub my hands and turn around myself to make my dream stable but then i woke up. Second one is: I was going back home from grocery store with my brother and i was like uhhh its so slow so i started flying to house and i stopped at the moment and thought wait if im flying im probably dreaming. Yeahh flying is impossible and then i knew its all dream and then: Wait i gotta wake up so i can write down my dream i need to remember it and i just woke up. Third one was just like a movie what i mean is that dream was about my dream awareness and proving all people in my dream with reality checks that its all dream.
I had one and it was a nightmare
Someone TOLD you, in your dream, that you were dreaming? That's kinda cool actually.
I've been jailed and forced into other dreams which throw me off my focus by my subconscious... in the form of shadow people _(they were staring at me the last time I had a proper Lucid dream)._ But since it took the form of shadow people the last time; I instantly get control/ break out of my sleep paralysis when it happens, because I kinda blame them for messing with me and they appear _(self-delusion is a powerful tool)._ So, even a bad or scary thing can be very useful for recognizing dreams in the future.
TheKeeper48 I’ve had 3 times. Once there were many police cars on a highway which was steep and was icy and I started falling down and that was the moment I realised that this was way too weird to be reality and I became lucid i started flying and stuff checking house but at one moment I woke up. The next one is by a technique I did. And in this one I was fighting with superpowers other bad guys with superpowers. And in the last lucid dream I did with technique I banged girl😬
This video definitely explains why I have been having trouble. I'll be sure to keep these in mind next time I try it!
When I was young I had lucid dreams without realizing it and I didn’t know what to do one time I was in a nightmare and I fell into a lucid dream and I don’t know why but my mind told me to stop but my body in the dream couldn’t and I killed myself in the dream
Man that got dark real quick.
Windows Yoongi edition my childhood was already messed up but my dreams every night was a nightmare (legit no exaggeration) I had sleep paralysis and I was messed up at night it was horrible since my first good dream was in 2nd grade I remember it vividly and I always had nightmares before that
@@krill7561 I hope you're doing ok now, being stuck in a dark place like that is never easy at all.
Windows Yoongi edition I don’t have it anymore which is good but it was weird in my house I only had sleep paralysis and nightmares in one room of my house

Do some things in your waking hours. Rhythmic breathing, meditation, long walks+rhythmic breathing and attention deconcentration, gazing ( just stare into little inanimate objects or your hands) , some form of physical awareness movement- tai chi, yoga, stretching, etc. Focus your attention in unusual ways. I.e. close your eyes and just listen to everything that is going on around you. Try and differentiate the sounds. Listen for the gaps, the silence in between the sounds. Other. Try and focus on points outside of the physical body. Like 2 inches (5cm) above the top of your head. In general do things that energize you. You can always try one of the oldest techniques. Find(look at) your hands in your dreams. Dont think how just decide and be hell bent you'll do it. Keep unbending intent that you'll succeed no matter when. Keep going and be patient. The first time is sometimes harder but if you press it happens. Hope this helps you.

I‘ve had a few lucid dreams myself but I‘m not a pro...from what I know...you should first of all (when u get conscious in a dream) lay back and visualize and discover your environment. Your brain should need a little time to visualize everything that‘s happening in your dream. It is important not to rush things as well. You‘re probably gonna get too excited and wake up (talking from experience) and that‘s really shitty. I can‘t say that much but I think the main trick to be able to control your dreams is to stay calm and take a moment to discover and perceive your dream environment. Hope I could help.

I'm 37, pretty new to lucid dreaming in that I didn't realise how much you could be in control of your dreams, I've had lucid dreams in the past but they were in sleep paralysis form and even when they weren't a nightmare as such I was totally weirded out by them and was desperate to wake up. Now I know what I know I want to try and lucid dream deliberately. I will never stop trying!

Also, for your next video, can you make tips about making your dreams more vivid? (Not while you are in a lucid dream, but things you can do in the real world that will help when you go to sleep.) I know a few things, but I'd like to learn a lot more since I haven't seen a lot about this when I search for it. (Also, please include that eating an orange before your sleep can help, I've tried it and for me it does work... an interesting yet funny thing.
Rubbing your hands together, spinning around, touching your body, touching and studying the details of any object near you, literally saying out loud 'Clarity, now!', meditating in a dream... for experienced dreamers :if you can remember it lay down and fall asleep in the same position you fell asleep in your bed. This is called coupled positions but it's not for beginners...To name just a few that come to mind. Hope this helps you.
@@alexgeorgiev532 Oh, I should've specified! I meant ways to improve dream vividity in the real world, actions that could help normal dreams be more vivid. The reason I was asking is because for some reason, when my dream feels more real, I tend to remember to do reality checks more. Here, I'll edit the comment so there's no confusion.

Some things I like to try (a very short amount since I did not know much techniques thus I made a comment asking for a video about this) are looking around and paying attention to very intricate details (raindrops on a car window, individual fabrics in carpet, etc.), interacting with the environment and really paying attention to how it feels, and what I mentioned in the main comment, eating an orange/drinking orange juice before I go to sleep.

I never knew this existed till about 20 minutes ago. I actaully have had a lucid dream before but i didn't know what it was called. As far as i know it's the only time i ever experienced it. It was pretty amazing and i still remember it vividly.
i just had my first lucid dream last night but i was doing a rookie mistake of getting to "Exited" on the dream and relise i was lucid pretty late when i did a reality check and wake up , will try this night , thx for the tutorial
