Bought this machine and I am extremely pleased with it. It is super quiet and does dry clothes very well ( I have always been told not to buy a combo) I only came here to see what sort of maintenance it needs as I have been using it for 5 months now but the machine says nothing as to filters etc . Great video
I've just received this machine directly from Bosch as an exchange for a faulty one, so I didn't have the benefit of being "sold" the machine in a retailer. I looked for a video to show me how to use it and watched this video - what an amazing video! So helpful, loads of great information, you certainly know your stuff! This looks like a fabulous machine, with loads of great features that I will use such as the speed function, the sports wash and the child lock. This is a great quick start guide to get my first few washes, whilst I delve into the instruction book. Thank you for taking the time to make such a great video
Thank you for your very informative video. I have owned one of these machines for about eight months and yet, despite reading the manual, I still managed to learn four things that I did not know about it.
As usual, a really brilliant video. I couldn’t find a way to select an extra spin. I should have gone to you straight away! A little negativity for Bosch is that holes have developed in several items of clothing after I have washed them in my Serie 6 machine. Your video taught me loads more about what my machine is capable of, so that will then help me with the hole situation. Thank you for a fab video.
Excellent video 👏🏻 I’ve always wondered how my washing machine works but unfortunately I was too lazy to read the guidelines. I’ve came across this amazing video. You helped me a lot sir 🙏🏻 Thank you for this detailed video. God bless you.
It has been a huge relief to find this video and have my new machine explained in such an easy way. They should employ you to write their manual. Thank you
I have this machine and while it is very good there is one area that needs clarification. I live in a hard water area so use limescale tablets, I also use aerial pods. Because the machine doesn’t use much water on small loads these tablets or pods don’t always fully dissolve this necessitates the use of the extra water function. The drum light is useful as well.
That is a common problem with modern machines especially washing at low temperatures that the tablets or gel pouches won't always dissolve properly. We normally recommend using gel or liquid on its own without being in a pouch
Great video thank you. I’ve only had my machine a couple hours. I need to do a quick catch-up on some drying as my last machine had stopped spinning. I found it difficult to open the door. Hopefully this vid’ and more use will sort this for me 👍
Suppose i washed clothes to its max capacity then I took out half of the clothes and i want rest of the clothes to be cupboard ready is this possible please tell.....
I am suffering from the following problems - whenever I do the laundry regardless of whether I air dry them or tumble dry or mix, they always come out dusty . Very small particles in the air when I shake the clothes or even if I flick the corner of one of my shirt with my finger I’ll see a little plume of dust come off if I’m holding a light next to it. Thank you
i would love a silver LG Signature but they only do it in white. im looking at this Bosch and thinking i dont like the display. its pretty much exactly like my Hoover dynamic NEXT 8kg.
Thanks your helpful video! I'm trying to figure out how to clean the lint from the appliance but I can't find it mentioned in the official manual or online? Thanks
we got it home and only then realised the plumbers had left some caps on the taps designed for the machine to attach to, that needed a 'multi-tool' to screw off which not being plumbers neither us nor the delivery guys who were supposed to 'free install it' had one. Also, the way the position of the taps were - the cold specifically, the hose wouldn't fit because of that filter on the end. The place is still under warranty thankfully, so the plumber turned up eventually and installed it for us by moving the direction of the cold tap so the hose can fit. Alas, after he left I noticed the cold tap dripping so I had to stop using the machine...still waiting for the plumber to turn up. ugh anyway in case someone else has checked everything else out before they buy, be aware of these things too.
As far as maintenance there isnt a huge amount you can do. If there is a sensor for the dryer just on the inside of the door then just make sure that is clean as it can make a difference if the sensor gets dirty
Hi, thank you for this informative video. I need to understand how to clean the filter and also the washing machine. Do I need to use any liquid like dettol cleaning for washing machine or any other brand. please advise on this as I struggle with maintenance.
Excellent video. On the Dry only programs do you have a custom time time option perhaps in increments of 5 or 10 mins? This would be where something is not quite dry so you just need to give it a little more. On some other machines it only only allows you pre set times such as 30/60/120 which is too much time. In addition how easy is the fluff filter to clean. On my old zanussi it neither had a water tube and was virtually flush to ground so you did not have a shallow enough tray to collect water when you undid it. Ultimately you just had to try and wedge a thin towel and accept some water on floor. What is reliability like on Bosch washer dryers? Have had two zanussi in the space of 4 years and whilst function and performance were OK they just don't last.
I want Bosch washing machine 9.0kg 6.0kg wna14408in 1400 rpm silver, always say in amzn currently unavailable, & customer care no. No resbonce, Big shopping center no stock, what I can do please inform me sir. Thanking you.
they need to come up with washer dryers that wash and dry the full load, 10kg for both wash and dry, whats the point of washing it full load when you need to take half of clothing out to dry the remaining 6kg.
They won't weigh the clothes but what it will do is to send a certain amount of water in to start with. Once it has been saturated in the clothes it will know how big the load is and the amount of water to use in the wash.
The machine doesn't have a lint trap that you need to empty after every drying cycle. The lint automatically washes away with the residual moisture of your clothes, or with the water of the next washing cycle. Keep in mind that lint could build up in the rubber ring, so you should regularly clean it with a cloth.
It's an awesome machine, quiet and works great. But all these nonsense "features" are completely stupid. Seems the industry is catering to customers that feel that they are getting something with these pre programed variations. All you need is "my time", all else is just stupid. And the dry function is really good. And if you overload it it's no problem, clothes come out a little damp. Who cares, just hang them up to dry.
Fine as a washing machine but the dryer function is not great and prone to becoming progressively worse as the " self cleaning" condenser gets clogged with lint. Just think of the lint filter on a normal tumble dryer: clean after every use. On this model there is no lint filter at all. All the lint gets caught on condenser and then flushed away. In theory. On some models you can access condenser to manually clean condenser not this one short of extensive disassembly of entire machine which is plain stupid Partial answer is to run the Drum Clean (cold) function frequently which flushes the condenser, but put bluntly this is a crap design How crap? Eventually had to buy a seperate conventional tumble dryer
Hi, I have this model and experience the same faults as other consumers have. Bosch will not discuss the fault code that I have provided them and are only giving an option to send out an engineer and charge £117. plus parts. This is meant to be one of their flagship models and you certainly pay the price for it. Bottom line: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MODEL if you expect it to last for more than one wash. Really disappointed Bosch.
@@johnmorrisontheplot There is a dry only function. The manuals are available to download on the Bosch website with a full explanation. The drying functions are controlled through the touch screen display, not the knob.
@@zeddeka I have the manual. But it doesn’t explain how to perform a quick dry only cycle. It’s all geared up to wash and dry. For the machine to operate, the control ring has to highlight a programme first. It defaults to the Eco 40/60. But then if you press dry, the cycle is over 2.5 hours. I’m looking for a quicker option - for when you just want to finish a wash when rain has curtailed a traditional drying session. To date, I have chosen the Mytime option, then chosen the dry option on the touch screen. But is that the only option? Surely there should be a dry only option on the control ring.
when you say a demonstration, hows about actually demonstrating the machine, by putting clothes in it filling it with water and detergent and actually washing and drying a load
Apologies for my ignorance. I have one of these but I can't for the lift of me figure out how to clean the lint filter... I assume there is one, I just can't find it... The instructions don't mention it at all, so maybe there isn't one - I just can't see how that's possible
This model doesn't have a lint filter in the door like a condenser dryer would. Any fluff or lint generated in the drying process would normally exit the machine via the waste hose.
