This Stereo Box set has been widely bootlegged, counterfeited, faked ... call it what you want, they all stink! This video explores how to tell a fake CD from an official in a detailed. informative, and (hopefully) entertaining way. The fakes don't have the piracy warnings on the back of the CDs. Ironically.
He covered that in part 1
I did indeed!
Only US pressings will have the FBI Warning. These Chinese knock-offs are based off the EU pressing.
I'm just surprised that a seasoned collector like yourself got duped. Love The channel !
I was seduced by the idea of a deal too good to be true. It was too good to be true. I learned my lesson.
@@MagicalMysteryMike how much did you pay for the fake (I know you got a replacement. That was nice.)?
I didn't get a replacement from that eBay seller. I got a refund. I also got to keep the box to "destroy." I don't recall what I paid, but it had to have been under $100.
@@MagicalMysteryMike ahh okay. Good that you didn’t get scammed. I also own the box. It’s a great piece. I didn’t buy it completely new, but because of that I got a really nice deal. Wait for it... 60$... The only problem was that it was missing the abbey road disc, but come on what a deal! It’s real too. I also got the American and japan box for 60$ each from the same seller. And the Beatles in mono box, I bought for 90$, so that’s a great price too. I live in Norway btw, so no eBay.
Love your channel! Please keep up the wonderful work!!
@@OlavARod there’s definitely deals to be had. It’s just a shame so many of these fakes are still flooding the market. Terrible!
Good job in pointing out the not so subtle, subtleties as in part one. But part 2 is hysterical! I wanted to be a lot angrier, but the replication just got so (horrifically) dang funny. I’m a fan of collecting everything Beatles, but, this is pathetic. Beware, the buyer!
You’re doing a great job. Thanks. Looking forward to part 3!
As I state in the video, "...it's comically bad." You have to laugh at the stupid mistakes, but being on the receiving end of one of these crappy boxes when you're expecting the real thing is no laughing matter.
You start getting suspicious with your Sgt. Pepper cd when you read on the bottom right of the back cover:
This is a duophonic recording
A splendid time is not guaranteed for all
😂
Thank you so much for doing this Mike. Everything you showed is exactly what I got from the one I ordered from China 5 years ago. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the CDs.
That's about when I received this one. It's truly horrible. the errors are unbelievable! So much effort put into making a fake, yet such silly mistakes. I don't get it. Well, I get money. And this was all about cashing in on The Beatles. Disgusting.
@@MagicalMysteryMike ABSOLUTELY!
@@daytripper9222 what a world!
@@MagicalMysteryMike you're telling me.
Excellent video Mike, useful as well. You'd think Apple would be onto the counterfeiters with the same heavy handedness they pursued the bootleggers back in the day. At least buying bootlegs you knew it was a gamble but with these counterfeits its just an out and out rip off. Feel sorry for true Beatles fans that have been duped...
You're absolutely correct. It's one thing for a fan to knowingly buy a bootleg to fill a gap in their collection if certain things aren't commercially available (not saying it's right). It's a whole other game when deceit is being used to trick fans into buying a cheap knock-off of what one may think it the real item.
More Like Sgt Pepper 's Garbage Trash Band
This fakes are a freaking nightmare,so F disguisting. Thanks for your work man.
Terrible. Glad to help keep the info out there.
I got duped then I watched your three videos of disgust and saw the difference between the legit and the fake. Yes the printing is off yet the CDs sound great! There may be two momentary dropouts on two songs so bought the two albums and saved $500.
The real version was never priced anywhere near $500. Used copies can be found for less than $100, provided you know how to avoid the fakes... which you now do. So, get out there and do the right thing! ;)
I am always amazed at the counterfeiters with the resources to produce so many of these fake sets! And for a modern set too in a time when the cd is supposedly dying yet there still seems to be enough demand to justify the (bare minimum) effort to produce these. Never buy from a seller based in China or Russia! Will you be doing a video on the counterfeit mono box as well? I feel like that one is probably more common as a fake since it was comparatively limited to the stereo set.
You may be right about the IN MONO box set being more widely counterfeited than the Stereo box set. It's at least equal, I'd say. I have a fake Mono Box. It's not as comically bad as the Stereo Box, but it's certainly nowhere near the quality of the authentic item. IN MONO is one of the finest box sets ever produced!
It's cool but they skip
@@daytonsMusicRoom my official box set does not skip at all. Are you referring to the fake?
@@MagicalMysteryMike Yes
Just wanted to let you know that thanks to your videos, I was able to score a legit set!!
You're so welcome! I'm glad the video was a help to you. In Mono is just as widely counterfeited. The real item is so well done and detailed, it was extremely difficult for the counterfeiters to even get close. The flip-back flaps on the mini-LP reproductions is one thing to look for. If these aren't present, it's a fake set.
*looks at the Revolver back cover*
This is pure trolling at this point!
It's so bad. No effort at all.
Oh god, that is actually disgusting to look at. how do they manage to stuff it up so bad? Did they even bother TRYING to replicate it. yuck. anyways, great video as always mike
Right you are; it is disgusting! There was no care for quality control, it was just about ripping people off. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment. Cheers!
I checked my box set just to make sure. Everything checks out okay .. I have a genuine set.
I was pretty confident though, having bought it from HMV.
I have since added a few other CD's which fit into the box set and I've labelled them as such.
The CD's I have added are "Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl" / the 2xCD version of "Let It Be" / and "1".
I would like to add "Yellow Submarine Songtrack" but there is absolutely no more room in the box.
You might consider finding yourself a Beatles Box of Vision.
Strangely, I bid on an auction lot. I didn't particularly want it for the box set as I have them all in various iterations, what I wanted was the rest of the lot. When I took the box set out of the box I said "oh that's a fake" low and behold, it is. The video is fascinating, thanks.
I’m sorry you got the fake, but glad you recognized it immediately and that there were other items that made up for the disappointment of having the counterfeit box in the lot. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Did you notice that nearly every cover has Emitex spelled incorrectly and that there are multiple types of misspellings? I had one of these and it’s great to open for a laugh!
I didn't notice the Emitex issue. What did you wind up doing with the box you had?
@@MagicalMysteryMike Trashed it. I listened to them once to make sure it sounded as bad as it looked and sure enough it did haha
@@lukeiovenitti4124 good for you! 🗑
Thanks for this great review of the "Fake 2009 Box Set". As soon as I was finished watching Parts 1-3. I immediately went to my Beatles' Box Sets collection, hoping to see that I did indeed, have the original. Eureka! I do own the original, excellent. Still, I love your reviews regarding this Beatles' box set. I really feel for fans who got ripped off with the fake set. I did notice a few months back, that there were orders popping up for this set on Facebook for.....$55!!! (Hurry, only a few left at this incredible price!) I read most of the blogs about this ad and everyone said basically the same thing.....stay away, this is a counterfeit. I always wanted to know how I would know this set from the original? Well, you have answered my question, and I thank you. Keep up the good work. BTW, one question, how was the sound quality of the fake set?
Glad you've got the real deal. As far as the sound, it's a digital copy, but who knows from what source. Also, quality control is completely lacking. CDs may be ruined by glue all over the surface. The 2-disc sets sometimes have 2 of the same discs. Wrong mixes (stereo vs. mono) are sometimes used, disks skip, etc. Overall, just best to stay away.
I had a hard day's night trying to read!
...but when I run out of glue, I find the pages undo...
@@MagicalMysteryMike you know the book is wrong
On the Please Please Me CD, you DID know that the original cover photos were accidentally thrown out, right? And not just the front cover, but all the photos from the sessions.
I’m not sure I was aware of this, no.
My copy of the box set says "Use New Emites RecordCleaner" and "The soo of "EMITEX" cloaning material (available from Record Doalers) will preserve this record and keep it free from dust." - and forget "Please Please Me", we're talking about "Me". Same with "A Ningt At The Opeia" on my 2011 deluxe edition of "A Night At The Opera".
Although I'm not bothered by it - I think it funny all the same, that's why I keep them.
The mistakes are both sad and hilarious!
@@MagicalMysteryMike Yeah, hilarious indeed. That's why I own it.
They’re all so yellow. I noticed the Quick Time logo way on the left of every disc, nowhere near any other info like that like on the real ones.
I didn't pay too much attention to the placement of the Quick Time logo. The counterfeit is based on an EU pressing. Since I was comparing an official US pressing, there are going to be some discrepancies that might be present even when comparing a real US and EU version.
I just love watching your videos! They have so much replay value! Your jokes are very entertaining and funny too. Although others say you deserve a lot of subs, I'd say it's nice to have a small community of Beatles/Physical Media fans. Cheers!
Thank you. I do enjoy being a part of this small community.

@@MagicalMysteryMike ya
Hilarious. I almost want to order one to have a good laugh. I hope you didn’t pay much
In the end I paid nothing for it. Well, that’s not true. The price I pay is being saddled with this junk. 😂
@@MagicalMysteryMike have you a/b them? How’s the sound quality ..
@@Love_Street meh. No interest. I can guarantee they don’t sound as good as the authentic discs.
I like you're videos mike but one thing i would like to know is what did you think of the sound on the fake CDs?
I deliberately did not get into sound. Here's the thing of it, a digital copy is a digital copy. If you just want a CD-R, I suppose it'll pass; however, when you have glue on a disk and it won't play, or the wrong tracks are a CD, or you expect mono, but get stereo, etc, then what? Bottom line is that these are not made with any sort of quality control, so I don't care about having them for any reason, and I do not recommend them to anyone.
It’s amazing. I know about bootlegs which I’m a fan of but I had never imagined they would have produced a counterfeit of something officially already out there.
Yes, it’s the worst kind of bootleg. I’m not justifying it, but I can understand buying material not otherwise commercially available from a favorite artist. But this is just downright evil. The energy that went into creating this fake is astounding.
7:37 The Beatles on the fake look like they're wearing black helmets 🤣
Hahaha! Indeed they do. Beatles for Combat!
Great job on the box review. It’s sooo good, but man this box is sooo bad! All of the Apple la on the bottom of the spine aren’t in line with each other, either too high or too low. And how can you mess up Sgt Pepper?
Thank you. It's so bad it's funny. You're right about the Apples, and Sgt. Pepper. Ridiculous.
I love the rite sleeves
In some of the booklets, there are misspellings. For instance, in "Please please me" page 5, you can read: "I have never seen a Britesh group leap to the forefront of the scene with xuch speed and energy". Also, most of the booklets have no page numbers at all. Finally, in all digipacks, Apple's logo is incomplete at the bottom of the image. My "A hard day's night" copy does not contain the video.
Horrible stuff.
I just looked at my copy that i purchased second hand. The green dot isnt there, the color of the green font looks correct and the fbi piracy logo and the Capital logo are present. The webside information under the cut apple is there. The font on The beatles is not jagged like the fake version you show here. The Apple isnt as dark as the counterfeit but not as bright as the official .The divider seems sturdy and the colour matches the box but the black ribbons are thinner like the fake. The box is also very heavy and not flimsy at all.The cds themselves dont have any spelling errors ,have the matrix numbers and not the names of the albums, dont have the rings around the hole. The labels look bright, the booklets are glossy,no seams arent present and no panels switched. The bags werent their there either. If it wasnt for the thinner black ribbons this would appear to be legit. It seems too high quality to be counterfeit. Is it possible i have the official cds in a fake box? What are you thoughts Mike? Thanks!
Hmmm, I've only seen the 1/2 inch black ribbons used, but it's possible certain runs used thinner ribbons. This box has been in production since 2009. At this point anything is possible. Fake Box, Real Discs; Real Box, Fake Discs.
Thanks do much, I wish we could buy these new again, without facing bootleg.
The real box set is plentiful, either brand new or used at a decent price. Just look out for what I've outlined in these videos and you'll be golden.
@@MagicalMysteryMike Yes, I Got one from ebay for about 123 in mint condition, 100% original. Currently listening to those albums as I write this msg. A+++
@@davidmthekidd Excellent! Enjoy every moment of it.
Hey. I was someone who was unfortunate enough to get this fake set. I do have a real one now but you forgot the emitex ad. On mine it says emites
I knew I'd miss some things. Which album is that on?
@@MagicalMysteryMike I'm not sure if it's different for everyone but it did it on please please me to revolver.
Only just saw this post, and purchased my box set earlier this year. When I received it a few weeks ago, the 'Please Please Me' album only had the wording ''Me" as the title on the side of the cd cover, so was missing 'Please Please'. Shocking. And my 'Let It Be' CD, when viewed (again) on the side of the cd cover, states the album as 'With The Beatles'(!?). I should have known something was not right, bearing in mind how cheap this set was. Ironically, the music sounds crisp and clean so that is not an issue (but I've only played a couple of these albums, so maybe the quality is poorer on albums I've not yet played). I'll put it down to experience.
I don't want to push these fakes in any way. Sure a digital copy can sound as good, but look at all the downsides to these counterfeit boxes. I'm sorry you got a fake. I hope you'll be able to enjoy a real version at some point. It's a really nice box set in it's genuine form. :)
I have to say, that while the fake copies are crap, all would not be lost if you wanted the CD's for the car or in your holiday caravan. It would cost just as much (or more) to rip your own CD-R's for the purpose.
That said, how much profit would these fakers actually make ... hardly seems worth their trouble.
CD player in the car? That's rare these days.
12:39 that capital S can also be seen on the back at 12:30
Every time I inspect this set, I find more errors.
Even though I purchased mine from Amazon on release day I still double checked after watching this (mine's legit).I have seen a Rolling Stones mono box set on ebay from China for a very low price. You think maybe they are the same company behind this set?Great to see you back.
I’ve heard some criticism of that Stones box. I don’t know enough about it, but it’s certainly possible that some of the same crew are behind both bootlegs.
Lots of fake Mono Stones CD box sets being sold. Anything from China…anything from anywhere that’s new for under $100…is almost certainly a fake.
Wow theses are so bad....I didn’t realize how overtly fake these things were....thanks for sharing this video!
Yes, it’d be funny if not for the fact that a lot of people get this crap thinking they’re getting a real box. The disappointment is crushing. Amazing that these are still out there... but they are!
Another detail I was able to notice is that all photos on bifold and trifold are cropped on the fakes.
There are just so many things wrong with these fake sets. It's pathetic. Grateful the counterfeiters didn't pull it off too well, so it's obvious, but some folks are still getting fooled.
@@MagicalMysteryMike It seems that fake mono boxes spread way more than the stereo from the videos I've seen. Were there fake vinyl boxes as well? I've only seen videos regarding the CD boxes so far.
@@fbt25 I’m not sure about vinyl boxes. Yes, the fake CD mono boxes are also aplenty, but the stereo boxes are just as bad in numbers. I’d be curious to know just how many of these monstrosities were knocked out.
i noticed something else in the real cds they use different colors of card stock but the fakes use only white
So many things off about the counterfeit copies!
Recently bought an album and turns out to be a shitty cover of the Beatles without mentioning it,so it’s nice too see people not falling for these like I did.The tips on how to find out what’s real and fake was really helpful, thanks!
You're welcome, and thanks for watching. Your comment reminds me of the time I made a Beatles blunder, as an 11-year-old kid just getting into The Beatles. Only had one album, and I was looking to get another. I was impressed with the song selection on the album Bach Bayless Beatles. What I didn't know at the time was I wasn't buying a Beatles album, but an album of The Beatles songs done Baroque style, by John Bayless. I was none too pleased. Live and learn.
You will never find your wayyyyyy!
Am actually stun how those pirates did took sooo much efford in copying all those albums, considering the time it takes to examin and copy everything,BUT doing that will onviously lead to human errors.
Oh, big time human errors are present!
If your wondering, I have heard of a fake mono box set but it’s more rare to get than the fake stereo. I think I have the real us albums cause everything looks fine, but something always seemed suspicious.
The fake IN MONO box is out there in as great numbers as the Stereo Box, maybe even more. As far as the U.S. Albums Box, I haven't seen a fake. I am 100% sure I have an authentic copy. I did a video on it, if you'd like to compare what you have:

Thanks,i love this video✌🏻
Thank you so much!
I just received the stereo cd box set purchased at Amazon. It is the US pressing and has the FBI/Capitol logos on the back outer box. The upper stack of discs (Please Please Me etc.) were in order and oriented properly, but the lower stack was in order but upside down (starting with Magical Mystery Tour). I looked through them all and they appear to be ok and don't have any of the conterfeit features in this video. BUT... none of the sleeves were shrink wrapped. I saw some unboxing videos where they were all shrink wrapped and some versions even had a sticker on each. Did others out there get the US pressing with each individual cd shrink wrapped?
Normally, the US pressings are individually wrapped, and without stickers within the box. The main thing is, if you aren't seeing the issues I outlined in my video series on the fake box set, you're box set is ok!
@@MagicalMysteryMike Thanks. I think it is ok. I have been on a box set buying spree the past few months and noted that the Rush, Def Leppard, and Whitesnake boxes didn't have individual titles shrink wrapped, but the Pink Floyd Discovery box did. Must be an EMI thing. Either they decided to stop shrink wrapping or my Beatles box was a used/returned item and Amazon stealthily re-wrapped the outer box and sold it as new.
@@cruzcjccruzcjc2569 curious… does it mention where the discs are made? You could be right that newer presses aren’t individually sealed. I also noticed recently the digipaks are now “Made in Mexico.”
Explain something to me why the fake versions of the Beatles' stereo and mono albums were manufactured?
Years ago I bought it off of Ebay thinking it was a legit copy. When I got it, it had thick plastic over the box instead of shrink film. Also I knew it was a fake cause there was no anti pirating FBI warning on back. I filed a complaint with ebay and sent it back. Sometime later I get a knock on the door and the mail man brought it back to saying it was undeliverable. The sender address had a suite number so the pirate obviously skip town after he sold all the ones he had. I told the mail man I didn't want it told them why. So they put it in dead mail.
In part 1, I mentioned witnessing "others" receive these fake box sets. You are one of those others, for sure Beatleman69. I've viewed your video several times, and felt your pain each time as you discovered you had received the fake.
Brilliant, Brilliant Brilliant!

I'm lucky enough to have never gotten a counterfeit box, but I did get a counterfeit copy of Introducing The Beatles for 10 bucks
The artwork was surprisingly good, but the record was ridiculously thin and had poor sound quality. And worst of all- they printed the labels on the WRONG SIDES 😂
Introducing The Beatles is out there as a needle drop, as it's never been officially offered commercially on CD. I have a copy myself. One way to tell would be the intro to I Saw Her Standing There. On the original record, the 1,2, 3... is cut from Paul's count in. The song starts on 4!
There are certainly some bad counterfeits out there, that's for sure.
How do Paul and Ringo feel about this I wonder?
I'm sure they ain't too happy about it. It robs 'em.

How sad and pathetic these fakes are.
For this item I did not buy on line, I bought from a reputable old fashioned record store
Wise choice! :)
Can you do one on the mono set? I got dupped from an ebay listing,
It's possible I'll focus on that set, but there are a lot of variations on those fakes.
I am absolutely livid about this. Surely E.M.I. and Capitol should make sure these items are officially available at a reasonable price from trusted sources, then these pieces of rubbish can be used for landfill.
Despite every effort, these parasites find a way to exploit The Beatles popularity.
Lucky for me, I did not get the fake box set.
Indeed it is lucky, my friend. The last thing you need to be bringing into your life, Garrett, is garbage like this.
The counterfeiters are terrible

I bought mine from my local record shop the day the box set came out on September 9, 2009. Can remember being on RUclips and even back then, right away, there were people showing that they had gotten a counterfeit. Some of them were actually quite good, not like this monstrosity you showed...! Yikes.
Didn't take long for the counterfeiters to ride the Beatles wave in 2009!
Unfortunately ebay has a bunch all from.china. dead giveaway should be the super low price varies from $48 to.$90.. same with other Beatles boxes. The mono box I saw if for $20. I'd like to know if you've played the fake cds and what they sounded like I still haven't bought the box. Weary of it being bootleg...even.if it was $200
I may have played a few years ago, but I never took 10 hours to listen to ‘em all. No interest. I have the real versions. Making these videos has forced me to spend more time with this counterfeit box then I’d care to as it is. 😉
Wow they look so dodgy....I think there were plenty of fake mono CD boxes too
Indeed there were (are). Maybe more. That box was initially advertised as "limited", so the demand was high.
y’know I can already tell the fakes are fake just by looking at the white parts. It looks like dried up piss on a new white carpet, infuriating, frustrating and really smelly.
That about sums ‘em up perfectly.
Man it almost looks ike a 'how to do your counterfeit cd's better' video. I'll bet you, some foreign guys are taking notes. ; - ) How about the audio thow?
I did have concerns about this being a “how to...”, but the thing is there’s already a countless number of these still in circulation. Plus, a counterfeiter can more easily get their hands on a real box upon which to base their fake. As far as the sound, it’s less-than-CD quality.
I have already seen this 1000 times it is a lot (so I already know)
I'm happy you like this video so much!
Make one on the mono one!
I may circle back to that eventually.

Man this is too hilarious 😭
Yes… unless you are on the receiving end when expecting the real deal… then not so funny. 😂
I wonder if the sound quality on the cds are close to the originals.
They are certainly not the best quality you can get, that's for sure. I am not willing to waste 10 hours of my life listening to the fakes when I have the real items, SHM-CD versions, and the Appple USB with high quality flack files. I would suggest to anyone looking to get these to get the albums individually over time as opposed to buying the fake box set.
Help!
Do you need somebody?
Mike-thanks for bringing this to our intention. Would you happen to know if the Mono set has ever been counterfeited? Please advise and thanks. Also, how is the fidelity? There's a difference in mastering to the Red Box standard vs essentially duping a disc.
100% the In Mono box set has been counterfeited. This is as widespread an issue as the stereo box. As far as fidelity, there’s no way I’d spend 10 hours listening to these copies. I can guarantee they do not sound better than the real discs. That’s all I need to know.
@@MagicalMysteryMike Thanks for the clarification
My comment further up yes mono box was on ebay lots of tjem.from.China or Hong knong as low as $20. Didn't buy.it price alone was too good to be real
I can't say for sure these are exclusive to China, but a great majority of the knock-offs are manufactured there.

I think someone just went on a computer and printed out copies thus making the fake box
I think it’s a little more involved than that, but it’s not much better quality. What did you wind up doing with the fake you got?
There was a legit copy hanging around at my local JB Hi-fi for ages but I didn't buy it because of the $350 price tag attached to it (we kinda get ripped off in Australia) but looking at the counterfeits, it probably wouldn't have been so bad to pay that knowing I was getting a proper copy. Since then I've only bought them individually
Wow! $350 is quite pricey. Brand new it should be no more than $200. There are lots of deals for used boxes between $50-$100. Unfortunately, there are so many of these fakes mixed in the market, that you really have to be careful. Lots of photos or close personal examination is key.
Buying them individually sounds much more cost effective. You can keep an eye out for Kool Krates. The albums were sold with 'em. That's a good way to store the CDs. Another option is The Beatles Box of Vision.
@@MagicalMysteryMike The Kool Krates look interesting. I'll keep a look out.

I purchased my Box Set @ a Flea Market, for $40. When I stumbled upon this video, I thought: "Oh, shit!' A happy ending though. My boxed set is *REAL* :-)
Nothing is real. 😉
That is a happy ending! Glad for you. There are deals to be had for the real box (it’s been out for nearly a dozen years). Why anyone would knowingly pay for a crappy counterfeit is beyond me, but unscrupulous, and sometimes unknowing, sellers keep pushing the fakes.
@@MagicalMysteryMike My boxed set was sealed in shrink wrap, and a tag with the price, was still on it. It was a lucky purchase! My apartment was robbed in late 1989, and my new reissue Beatles CD's were taken. I never got to replace them, until I encountered the Flea market boxed set! :-)
I never previously gave it a thought, but I'm happy to have watched your videos! :-)
@@NEVER--MIND I’m so sorry you were robbed of your Beatles box. Bastards.
Out of curiosity, how do the fake CD's sound in comparison to the legit product?
I'm never going to say they sound good. I don't play 'em. I certainly wouldn't waste 10 hours going through them all. They're CD-R quality, at best, I suppose. Lots of skips possible, and worse.
@@MagicalMysteryMike I'm surprised you don't do a side by side comparison. I'm going to have to do that with the legit copy of "Let It Be" I have with the fake one in the box set I unfortunately bought before seeing this video.
@@tomerdahl9867 I did do some comparisons throughout the 3-part series, but the main focus was on just how bad those fakes are.
I sure do love Paul McCarlney
I too enjoy the 5th and 6th Beatles, Paul McCarimy & Paul McCariney! Man those guys could play!
Well there are 4

Glad you've enjoyed the video in this series.
@@MagicalMysteryMike I Enjoy Every One Of Them
@@daytonsMusicRoom thanks.
@@MagicalMysteryMike your welcome
Fake Sets feel like they made in a sweat shop or something. I got better ones from Amazon. Even some used ones or giving by my uncles are better than this.
Yes, a used official is much better than a brand new fake!
They all are so dark
And terrible sleeves
Yes they are. Terrible, indeed.
But how do they sound?
They sound like digital copies where the CDs aren’t covered in cheap glue and actually play.
Hey man I would gladly take that set off your hands if you don't want it.
Seriously.......
@@colorbeatlesvideosmore2114 absolutely it's not that bad lol. It would satisfy me just fine when I was a kid I asked for this set for Xmas. My sister thought it would be better to copy the discs send it back and get me an iPod. Not saying that wasn't a thoughtful gift but I still wanted the set. THIS may not be officially licensed but it's fine enough for what it is. As long the music is the same it's not a major issue I rarely look at this stuff enough to care.
Booooo! This is The Beatles. It's a worthwhile collection to have authentic copies. Buy 'em one-by-one over the course of a couple years. That's better than settling for this trash. It IS that bad.
I would not dishonor a viewer by saddling you with such a disgraceful item. You're worth more than that.
Ya. I actually picked up mine for around $90 on eBay. If your lucky you could find one for less and it is worth it. Mine was in great condition and some CDs were still unwrapped
Yes the dupes are suitable for toilet use !
Absolutely! 🚽
Yes 100% the fakes are very' bad poor quality but if these now over 50 years old albums in a boxset were Not so over priced to start with New or even on the used market' then the demand for Fake knock off Albums would be surely less ' as with all music boxset's from all bands they are never cheap to buy thus instead it feeds a huge demand fake counterfeit copies so sadly at the end of the day you will never stop it in the times of human Greed with the technical tools in the last decade to make this Crap !
The fakes are pure trash. I understand that cost is sometimes prohibitive. For this reason, I only buy box sets of a select few of my favorite artists. The 2009 box set was reasonably priced being you got every studio album and every single released by The Beatles during their active years. I initially went with the Mono box over stereo, but eventually I picked up the real stereo box.
You missed OUT OF ORDER
I’m sorry, I don’t get your meaning. Would you elaborate?
How do they sound
Meh. They’re digital copies. Some play fine, others skip. Honestly, I played ‘em maybe once, and never again.
@@MagicalMysteryMike sell it
@@daytonsMusicRoom nah. In good conscience, I could not stand to profit from this counterfeit. I keep it around, but if I were to get rid of it, it would be by destruction of the item. I keep it around for educational purposes, such as in making these videos.
SEll.it when it's destroyed
These look professional against my terrible Capitol set! 💩
which box are you referring to? The Capitol Albums Vol. 1? You might have a real pressing, it's just not made that well, compared to subsequent box sets. I plan on doing videos on Vol. 1 and 2 of that series. Shame Vol. 3 was never released.
@@MagicalMysteryMike
It's this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_U.S._Albums
Never purchase Beatles boxes on Wish! Ha ha. Everything about it was shoddy. Even the discs were all in the wrong sleeves, made of the flimsiest card imaginable.
@@MrDavidReads ah ok. The U.S. Albums box set. I’ve heard tell of this being counterfeited, but I’ve never seen one.
I have a counterfeit version of mmt
@@daytonsMusicRoom I’m sorry to hear that.
