An NYC apartment tour but not really

- This tour starts with a piece of thrifted bird decor I named after my favorite Friends character. One who I'd like to think would approve of my design aesthetic-do you agree?
It's not very official, in that I don't have gorgeous panning shots of the space. It's more like if you came over for some tea (or wine) and I showed you all the little quirks and details that I love.
Cozy up and enjoy. And let me know what tchotchkes you're (perhaps unknowingly) growing a collection of. I'm curious to hear!

My favorite part of this video was how you made New York City feel magical. I think that's something that's been lost among the modern day discourse.

Yes....I lived in NYC for 7 years and the only part I miss about it is that exact feeling she described so beautifully. It is magical, and I never got tired of walking down the streets and seeing the skyline. Never. Everywhere else I've ever lived eventually becomes "normal" and you stop noticing the views. Even mountain views that I've had many times. But NY is different in that way...I'll never move back by choice, but this video would be what I'd watch if I am ever forced to for any reason in my future
Yes agreed!! i live in nyc and can get a little numb to it sometimes, but videos like this remind me woah wait i live in such a beautiful city🥹

I have one of those metal things in my bathroom. I use it to store toilet paper and wipes. I love the apartment. There is so much character there and not like the same old bougie apartments in the high rises. I love an apartment with character and color. Well done

It boggles my mind how open floor plans got to be popular, it feels very "emperors new clothes" to me. Hey everybody, wouldn't you love to hear your fridge and dishwasher running while you're in the living room? Wouldn't this home be more soothing with a constant view of a bottle of blue liquid dawn and an old kitchen sponge? Wait? I am supposed to put those things out of sight at all times? Great apartment! And...I agree about too much white. For me, can't do regular lighting/florescent. Uggghh. Haven't turned on my "regular" kitchen ceiling light in, wait for it...24 years!...(since I moved in). And, will not. Amber, warm lighting is👍 (imo).

Ahh that's wonderful you're a singer! I've heard way worse noises from neighbors, so someone singing beautifully doesn't bother me one smidge. And she always keeps it to decent hours of the day.
When I had a flat in St Kilda (Australia) a lady in the apartment block next door used to practice her opera singing too. I really enjoyed it. 😊

I'm from Southern California too, south of Los Angeles to be exact, and my Mexican neighbors had plenty chickens. Imagine being woken up by a rooster in the hood 😶. No need to move up north 🤣!

I struggle so much to fully decorate a place that can be so easily taken away, but that’s what makes this video so special. You’re brave enough to say “fuck it, my birds and I are living in style as long as we’re here and we’ll do it all again!”
