I particularly like the combination of the scenery, the self confidence of the pilot and his skills, his appearance and calmness, and the adventurous story behind it. I met quite some bikers on my tour. Was talking to another Canadian biker from the Niagara Falls area who rode all the way to Dawson - pretty impressive. And he had an auxiliary tank like I had in my plane.
The gas price at Santa Paula must have really stood out to you for you to include it among your pictures and video of your fantastic journey 😅. I hope you enjoyed your stop at my home airport 😊.
Hi Hermann, mega cool - I thought trips to Sicily or around baltic sea with the own plane are great and to charter a Cessna in US also - BUT to fly to and around US is magnificant. Thank You for the phantstic movies :) br//Uli
Ganz tolle Videos! Sensationelle Eindrücke! Als "einfacher PPLer" bewundert man das einfach sowohl aufnahmetechnisch als auch fliegerisch! In Europa kann ich LJBO empfehlen (das Alaska des kleinen Mannes😉). ..und ich vermisse bisschen den supersympathischen Copiloten😎
It was a 165 hours round trip. The airplane run perfectly, only the tail wheel steering link broke once. This didn´t ground me, differential braking was the way to go. Got a spare a couple of days later.
Your videos are very inspiring. Making the Atlantic crossing to Oshkosh, do some US flying and back is my ultimate dream;. F-JTRW already did it (and a world tour) under a previous owner. It has a 10hour 2000km autonomy because of long range tanks. I just can't make up my mind and go for it ;)@@skyrunner1818

Ha-ha it was hot. There were some swollen cracks in the asphalt so not perfectly smooth.
