Its just that at the time of me writing this comment i wouldnt ever take stasis rifle with me because i thought its waste of inventory (ik stupidass decision, in fact i would not even make that weapon at the time and i had no idea how it worked). Now i have succesfully completed subnautica. Btw, i was slightly wrong with one hit thing, it was rather warpers fault when i was trying to escape.
In the scanning entry for Reaper Leviathans it says that they use echolocation to keep their wherabouts and their prey's whereabouts in check. If you can hear it, it can see you.

Literally getting a wiring kit was pain in the ass since it required silver, so many other materials for the advanced wiring kit too, it was painful to watch the cuttlefish egg get in the Bio reactor

Two more pains: when you have to gather crystalline sulfur and you have to swim into that green acid lake. I hate that so much. And also when you are far away from "home", in the depths and receive that message informing you that your house ran out of power.
I liked to make mini scanner bases for resources which were basically just a scanner room, a hatch and a solar panel. Got constant messages every night saying how there was no power to the bases I wasn’t currently using
If it can make your life easier, you can make gathering those easier by using propulsion cannon both regular and from the Prawn Suit, you can pick up stuff with them practically extending your pickup radius by 25 meters, how? Just pull the thingy with the laser and left click (I dunno about consoles tho, the button you use to pick up stuff then?), makes gathering so much easier, also bonus points if you bring in a Grav Trap, it also pulls resources

@@vladvulcan Yeah it’s quite hard to get accustomed to the Propulsion Arm, but I learned to move slightly the camera to pick up items with the regular arms, it’s a bit inconsistent sometimes I just need a little bit of movement others I have to rotate the whole suit just to pick up a piece of copper lmao but at least I’m getting stuff. Is it gimmicky? Yes but I find it oddly satisfying.
There are a lot of painful experiences in this game, but nothing will hurt more than the godforsaken loading screen. I played on console and don’t know if this is a problem on PC, but usually I have to wait 20 min for the game to load and sometimes it will crash on 90% like yours. Thank god they fixed it in Below Zero
I had one of worst glitches ever the other day in this game. I was in the Aroura fixing the radiation when a Reaper (which I had messed with on my way in) glitched inside and killed me instantly. Luckly a saved but still strange
The only thing you forgot was when you go to the containment facility in your prawn suit and get randomly stuck in the floors or walls and can't get out. Which means you have to rebuild your prawn suit for about 30 mins of gameplay before you beat the game.
You can use the grappling hook to unstuck it, the bigger issue is that other building in the lava zone where your prawn thinks it's on land so it's rendered useless forever.
I had a big problem with stalkers stealing my cameras. All of them did it. One day I got sick of it and proceeded to run one of the little thieving cretins over with my seamoth and killed it. I haven't had issues since, the rest stopped coming near my base. Sometimes I wonder what stopped them; my putting the camera back all the time, or the sight of their friend twitching on the floor after I broke its back. Either way, I'm not complaining.
Had the same exact issue. Wasn’t even in their biome they would move about 100m to grab the camera from my scanner room. On the bright side it gave me plenty of stalker teeth
The absolut worst thing I experienced was, the very first time I encountered a ghost leviathan. I was traveling around in my seemoth and found my first gel sacks, so I got out, picked some up, I turn around and there it was. So understandably I instantly want to get back into my seemoth, but apparently it somehow glitched through the ocean floor. So there I was, about 400 meters under water, with a ghost trying to kill me, and my seemoth nowhere to be found...
Something like that happend to me once, so o was going to lifepod 2 I think and I saw a adult ghost leviathan which took my seamoth down to 15, so I saved but after it destroyed it, load back overs destroyed again, then I finally escaped it and got back to my base
I have 2 more pains. The first one was where I knew where I needed to go, I knew where all the reapers were, but I was too scared to leave the safe shallows Another one was when I tried to go to the mountain island in a prawn suit (yes this is back when I was actually brave) I accidentally strayed too far and missed the island completely, and accidentally fell into the void. I think that experience is what made me such a scaredy cat
I love the glitch where the wreck disappears with everything outside. You start looting the crates and poof! You're suddenly trapped with no way out. Another one happened to me on the Aurora. That took me 2 real hours to to manage to get it out, oof that cyclops was upside down and one time, it was sideways, it was tilted like nothing I’ve ever seen before and when I tried to get my prawn out, it made it worse, I almost lost them two but after 2 hours we made it.

A quick way to get stalker teeth is to trap 3 or 4 stalker with a grav trap and drop a shit ton of metal salvage near them, I did that for about ten minutes and got 12 teeth

I couldn't find the first lava base for tablet number 1 because when I saw the entrance, I thought It was just another sanctuary for a portal, especially after searching the caves for the first time. and it took me about 3 hours to realize you need to fabricate the second blue tablet.
how about being trapped inside the 3rd degasi seabase without ultra-high capacity tank and finding out that your Seamoth was just destroyed by crabsquids?
Also bonus points, you can pull the Grav Trap with regular and prawn propulsion cannons, best discovery I ever made in the game I hope someone finds my Time Capsule and get the clue.

I was trying to find to entrance to repair the Aurora, and went underneath to explore the big open belly bit. I thought there might some resources tucked away somewhere. Nah. I fell through a solid platform and became entirely boxed in by invisible walls. My last save was... embarrassingly long ago, so I sat there for what felt like an hour watching my (previously full) hunger go down until I starved to death. Then at least I'd keep my blueprints.

I was literally streaming Subnautica hard mode last night. Had 2 of the 5 materials to wake up the infant sea emperors. Viewer redeemed "epic battle" in the channel rewards, so i had to go fight a sea dragon. Traveled to gun island to teleport, was killed by a warper. So CLOSE to the end 😭😭😭

When I first started playing, I made the mistake of thinking almost every creature would be nice. When I went into the dead zone and a ghost leviathan came at me I thought "oh, a friend :)" But I quickly found out he ghosties were not my friends. Same with the warpers, thought they'd be nice since they looked human-ish so I swam right up next to one to scan it and he hurt me >:(

i have the opposite problem, i have so many rare materials but i always have a problem finding copper and quartz

Helpful tip: if you know you're going to be near crabsquids, rig for silent running, thurn off ALL lights, and use sonar and bottom hull cam

You don’t need to rebuild your prawn, just make sure you bring a grappling arm with you and use it to drag yourself around.

Exit the game without saving, puts you back to your last save. You might lose progress but you won’t lose your entire world.

I was literally streaming Subnautica hard mode last night. Had 2 of the 5 materials to wake up the infant sea emperors. Viewer redeemed "epic battle" in the channel rewards, so i had to go fight a sea dragon. Traveled to gun island to teleport, was killed by a warper. So CLOSE to the end 😭😭😭

These stalkers were just chillin by my base and everytime I went out there was so many stalkers teeth filled up a full 2 lockers with just stalker teeth
You forgot when you get out of your seamoth and it kills you, taking with it a 23 hour hardcore run.

Recently I had a weird glitched Stalker cuz he was dropping his teeth like crazy man I had like 80 or some shit
When I first started playing, I made the mistake of thinking almost every creature would be nice. When I went into the dead zone and a ghost leviathan came at me I thought "oh, a friend :)" But I quickly found out he ghosties were not my friends. Same with the warpers, thought they'd be nice since they looked human-ish so I swam right up next to one to scan it and he hurt me >:(
I remember the first time I met with a ghost leviathan. I was just exploring at the grand reef with my seamoth thinkin there wouldn't be any leviathan there, then suddenly this frikkin giant creature came out of nowhere, it didnt attacked me but the way I got scared...
