Hey ! I also purchased the bmcc (EF) recently. I didn't know about the 2x crop factor, the problems with electronic lenses, etc.. but I do not regret it at all. I adapted my workflow for this camera when I use it on music videos. The images it can produce are very cinematic and creamy :p
@@DukeDenverFilm but it's not possible on the EF that I got too. there is a solution via an internal focal reducer but then you have chromatic aberration
That is one of the benefit of getting the MFT version it make it easy to use old manual lenses with speedboosters. That you can't do with the EF version.
I actually got the BMPC (the 4k version of the BMCC) recently - fantastic camera, still very competitive today given the resolution and the global shutter. Major disadvantage is getting parts for it though, for example, getting a cage is pretty hard as they're all long since discontinued and sites like eBay don't see many listings.
I purchased this (m43) camera new after viewing John Brawley's test shots around Sydney. Beautiful images. Also purchased the Pocket Cam (m43) it's on the shelf, pristine condition, looking for a new home.🎥 🙏
Hello Claus. Your videos are very good, very educational. I have a BMCC 2.5k and I want to know if the DNG RAW material can be converted to make a 4k film. Is it possible with this camera? I am from Argentina, my English is not good. Thank you
Thanks for watching.Yes, you can do that in Davinci Resolve, you can edit in a 1080 p timeline and when you need to finish your film change timeline to 4k and then render.

The crop factor are for me not a problem, I used a focual reducer and than made the crop mutch better on the MFT version.

@@DukeDenverFilm of course, I know that because I have the OG, but the BMCC MFT is so rare to find, you are lucky!

Just got the 2.5k MFT, it is awesome!!
Still use mine😀
👍🏾👍🏾Great video, Claus, thanks!! Very lovely images. I have the original BMPCC, and I love it. New subscriber here, my brother. Best wishes to you.
Awesome, thank you!
Great minus the black lines in low light and the dead pixels. It’s up there historically with the 5D Mark 2 and 7D.
BMCC MFT is a beast! I still shoot with mine :)
It is, I use mine for some things still😀
