my head canon for derrig is that there wasn't any politics involved, he was the one who pushed for keyleth having a bodyguard and he volunteered himself. this is because he is a die-hard fan of scanlan and so he wanted to meet and talk to his idol.
Keyleth knows and was on board. Derrig: You can bring a plus one to the wedding right? Keyleth: Aren't you married? Derrig: Not like that. I want to meet Scanlan Shorthalt. Keyleth:...just so you know, he's either going to think you're my consort or a prostitute. Derrig: Do you think that'll make him remember me? Keyleth: Yeah, probably. Derrig: Excellent.
Laura - "I am in a wedding dress. Don't kill me when I am in a wedding dress." Matt - "Well Vex hasn't got in the dress yet." Laura, with fury in her eyes. - "I AM!"
@@wizzardoffuzz "If the creature's soul is free and willing", it's both not free because of the Raven Queen and not willing because Vax/Liam has said he intends to honor the deal.
I like to think Vex was still in a state of an afterglow from the Blessing of the Dawnfather, with small ripples of light glimmering on her skin as if sun under the water, making her and Vax's meeting an almost literal between light and shadow.
Mavander Serafin I mean, I think the blessing lasts an hour. So I'm pretty sure she was glowing through all of that. :) So you nailed it. Damn I want art of this...
It's incredibly poetic that Vex ended up becoming the literal light that helped finish burning away one of the biggest sources of Percy's insecurity and trauma.
In old tradition the groom would set aside his sword for the day of his wedding and put it into the hands of the man he trusted. Trusted not only with his own life, but with the life of the woman he loved. By taking the grooms blade the best man accepted the duty of safe guarding the happy couple, and was sworn to lay down his in the defense of this new union.....so actually Keyleth this is exactly what best men are for.
Man, that one dude they sent away to find 25 casks of ale for Grog really dodged a bullet there. He must have come back with the ale like that one dude with the pizzas and the room is on fire.
Scanlan is the friend who no one takes serious, but when you are on your last leg he puts everything into picking you up. Sam does such a great job between switch from goofy Scan to serious Scan.
2:23:08 - Even two Death Saving Throws in, dressed to the nines, beautifully and regally as Lady of Whitestone, on the night before her wedding, no weapons, no equipment, with help just out of range... Laura Muthafuckin' Bailey still takes a moment to laugh at, "shifting bulges in the water." And this is why we love her, now and forever.
"Oh, you're watching the Vox Machina Campaign right now? Which arc are you at?" "I don't know, they're fighting those Briarwood guys right now." "Do you have the slightest idea of how little that narrows it down?"
Just saying that is spoiling it. Maybe asking what level VM are or where the fight is would be a better question that wouldn't basically tell them that the Briarwoods come back multiple times.
Speaking of callbacks, I like Ashley's nod in her speech at 3:46:00 to the Liam's Quest: Full Circle meta story one-shot (spoilers for it) with the line "richer for having known you", the same line Liam said as meta-Liam in game to the PCs, where it was also real GM Liam saying real stuff to his real-world friends. Ashley even looks over at Liam after saying that line, but IDK if Liam missed the reference or was just playing it cool.
This episode is a "let's see how well Matt remembers the accents of the dozens of NPCs he made across a near decade long campaign after leaving it for three years," test. What a champion.
Tries to keep them alive? You mean in the normal caring-for-children sense, or in the face of some mortal danger? If you mean squishy children will be part of combat, that sounds tricky to make fun, because we'd hate to see the die rolls go badly and one or more of them not survive. So I'm guessing you probably don't mean that.
@@Peter_Cordes I like to think they wanna play with Grog and pretend to be Vox Machina but end up in actual danger, but also in my head, Pike is babysitting too, since there are 5 kids. So Pike and Grog have to protect the 5 de Rolo children from actual danger while trying not to keep them from being scared. Also Pike and Grog are in no way allowed to pretend to be Pike and Grog. The kids said so. Grog has to be Pike, and Pike can't be Pike because she is Percy, and one of the kids wanted to be Grog.
honestly, i love how both his post campaign characters were kind of 'what-ifs' to vax's potential future: a servant of the raven queen and a lovely family man guarding the tempest.
@Noob7Zilla Yes! I just remarked to my sister, "Please remember, this is the same woman that plays Laudna. Laudna!" Marisha is just incredible. I love watching her RP. Laudna's already my favorite.
@@jessicazimmer8910 For the whole first campaign I just thought Marisha was bad at improv, because of how bad Keyleth was at talking. It blew my mind when I realized Marisha was actually an amazing roleplayer, and Keyleth was the cringelord. It took until a few episodes into campaign 2, when the cracks started to show in Beau's "trying too hard to be cool" vibe. The woman is such a good actress that she convinced me she was a bad one. After rewatching with this new knowledge it was hilarious instead of cringey, and I loved all her characters. Laudna is fucking legendary, she really outdid herself this time lol
2:27:30 I mean I know it's terrible but I kind of find it poetic that Vex died in the water after falling from a cliff, and that it's Keyleth who finds her. Given the fact that Vex was the one who found Keyleth after the Keyfish incident
Percy, during the Underdark arc, to Vax: Screw you! I want my final words with you to be indignant and irritated! Percy's final words to Vax: Talk to her, idiot.
I love how every time someone says the name of their abilities Sam just repeats the name in surprise: Travis: "I'll use my Retaliation" Sam: "rEtAlIaTiOn?"
If there is anything I've learned about Sam is he's really good at being a proxy for crowd reactions. Whenever something new happens he always adds a reaction to resonate with those watching. The man knows how to perform.
3:16:40 Sam breaks out his wallet and passes a few bucks to Taliesin. 3:16:54 Taliesin passes it to Marisha. 3:17:18 Marisha passes it to Liam. 3:17:23 Liam passes it to Laura. 3:17:30 Laura passes it to Ashley. 3:17:35 Ashley pays Travis for a dance. When you got friends all willing to work on a throwaway gag like that, you got good friends.
Poor Liam, every Vox Machina one shot he's gotta cook up a new character that belongs near enough to this group to be wrapped up in their shenanigans, and he gets far less of the nostalgia boost that all of the others playing their characters get. That said, he absolutely crushes it with the character ideas. I love them so much.
To be fair, he had also the most emotional highlights with vax, since scanlan used some wishes to bring him back. Also playing/testing new classes in oneshots is really fun and the group is still the same anyway. (some characters matured a bit)
Kima: "You gonna make an honest woman outta this one?" Percy: "Well, there's nothing that can be done about that, but..." Taliesin forever with the razor sharp wit. By the Gods I miss these characters so much XD
When the eventual Mighty Nein X Vox Machina crossover is gonna happen, Caleb is just gonna walk up to Vex and just say that he's lost family members too.
Dude.... I know! That's why I got all teary eyed when the fog rolled in. I KNEW it was Sylus... I bleedin knew it. And, that's also why I grabbed the tissues. If I was already getting misty then, at the least if they killed him there would be some monologue gold... But, nothing could prepare anyone for what actually took place. I'm still fighting tears and I watched it like four hours ago.
@@idaholcomb4778 man.... Doors... Like, it was invented to instill people with the ability to walk through walls... Yet, somehow, became the very thing that prevented vox machina from doing almost anything at all.

yes, it is why she emphatically looked at him when she said it and he smiled in recognition. It was so fucking cute it made me cry. Call back to Liam's love letter to his friends and his goodbye when he leaves with the Raven Queen
The fact that (bc this is a strech goal episode) they did not put any sponsor ads or any in video google ads (which are not problem btw, as long as you keep your show going) is surely a great act of showing thanks to fans and one of the most humble and ungreedy acts you can see in RUclips. Noble souls, you are.
Vax: “Have you not crawled on all fours before?” Percy: “You should try it if you haven't; it's quite delightful… I have never actually been quite so honest in my entire life.” (Episode 105)
"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?!" Attacking a party of level 20 characters (especially a stressed Archdruid wedding planner) sure wasn't very... *bright* .
If someone told me three months ago "Yo, you're gonna cry over voice actors dressed in feathers and antlers as they pretend to have a wedding in a table top game..." I can never make fun of people crying over soap opera's or K-dramas ever again.
I agree with the first part of this whole heartedly, but.. soap opera's and k- dramas take themselves too seriously. Whereas this set of characters drink and make jokes, whilst breaking the third wall here and there. And while all that is happening, they simultaneously building these all too real characters that can be felt as real. My argument being, I could never stick around for a soap or k drama for long enough to ever care. That being said I can see why people might cry over an obviously fake scenario.
I just love how Travis is the biggest fangirl of the ship. Just shows how much he loves his friends and wife and how much he immerses himself into the world character.
@@VG-fk6nk The original comment says "character that Liam has played that meets vox machina", so Caleb, and other one-shot characters that have not met Vox Machina are excluded from this
When they eventually get to the last series of The Legend of Vox Machina, this seriously has to be the last episode. Just imagine the last shot of Percy and Vex'ahalia kissing, as it pans up to the sun rise, a raven flying away from the cliff. And then in the background you just hear Scanlan: "Pike, I caught the bouqeut!" Grog: "Oh no you didn't!", followed by a scream, heavy impact and further ensuing chaos, as the music gently fades out, to the final end credits.
I'm absolutely devastated. I started watching these cause of the show and going from Percy as a kid desperately trying to escape the Briarwoods and falling in the water, thinking he was alone and his entire family was dead, to Percy as an adult, Lord of Whitestone, flailing in the water knowing he to swim away because his family would be coming to help him, even though he was leaving Vex, then telling Sylas he wasn't afraid of him anymore. I hope they include this special in the show, as much as I loved the ending it's filled with so many incredible moments.
Them all calling for Tary while Sam looks pleasantly incredulous is so friggin endearing. He seems so consistently surprised ppl enjoy his characters so much.
Sam, in his head: OH SHIT I DIDN'T BRING TARY'S STUFF I DIDNT PLAN FOR THIS AHHHHHHH alternatively: OH SHIT HOW DO I PLAY TARY AGAIN I DIDNT PLAN FOR THIS AHHHHHHHH
@@jari948 Are you saying that Nott is _not_ a comedic character? Frankly, I think he even overdoes it a little bit with her sometimes - I wish he'd play her a bit more seriously on a regular basis, and not just during emotional moments. Sometimes, he tries to make a joke with weird timing and it falls flat - well, it happens to the best of us, I suppose. Honestly, I'd say Nott is far more of a wildcard than even Scanlan was.
How to challenge a level 20 party: Step 1: Reduce most of them to 1hp immediately before combat. Step 2: Separate the party. Step 3: Be Matt Mercer and tug at the world's heartstrings.
Step x: Be a competent high level wizard with abundant minions, locations, traps, glyphs of warding, Contingency, some Magic Jar shenanigans, and back yourself up with Clones of yourself in your demiplane, and combat the party using Simulacrum and illusory duplicates. Gate portals opened to planes full of your allies.
hey the players are all part of that. they weaved a lovly story together. Terrible VERY TERRIBLE at strategies and how to utilize their charcter abilities XD but great great story tellers
29:25 When Vex mentions that her dad is here but she doesn't want him to walk her down the aisle, and Liam looks like he's going to cry because VAX CAN'T BE HERE FOR HER
Yeah, I was not prepared for this I thought: hey look that's gonna be a fun one shot but noooo I was so wrong, holy fuck. It had me crying the last half hour straight
One point that needs addressing is the moment Pike creates a magic Fenthris with Spiritual Weapon. I can see a lot of DMs shutting that down and I'm sure there were some people that got a rules aneurysm over it. I have to say though, that was top-level DMing the way Matt handled that. On Ashley's part, it was such a creative idea that added to the scene they were creating with Vex finally arriving to hand down justice. On the logistics aspect, Sylas was already in major trouble and there was very little chance he would survive one round of combat even if that idea was shut down for RAW reasons. In the moment, Matt made the best decisions to facilitate this incredible storytelling.
True! Also, Matt understood that Laura was a bit frustrated since her main weapon was not available to her during the main fight due to story reasons. It was a great fix on Matt's part to allow her to have that weapon available.
I will be honest. I am a dm, and when ashley said what she was doing with her spiritual weapon. I immediately said yes. I'll allow it. And when matt said it I was so glad. In all my years of dming, I've not had one player try that under duress. It painted such a beautiful picture I'd have kicked anyone who would try to shoot that down. It also got me thinking about the way the spell works. And I've begun altering and creating a variant of said spell. The idea is amazing and I think that moment was perfect.
A huge factor is that this is a one-shot and these characters are not going to be going on too many more adventures. There isn't much danger of this being an exploit that they try in an ongoing campaign and the most oddball thing Jester's made is a piano.
I read your comment before getting to that point, was like "oh shit, now it won't have the same impact" I was wrong, cried like little bitch, I haven't cried like that for years
I was already brimming from the second the fog rolled in on the shore because I KNEW who was being foreshadowed, but I held it in. ...as soon as Sam said, "Vex, I wanted to get you a gift but nothing would be expensive enough for you, so..." I lost it. I knew what was coming. And seeing his face when he knew it was his last one... Holy Jupiter shit... From there to the end I was letting out every tear I never cried in my life.
SPOILER, This one-shot could be watched by someone with no context of Vox Machina and it'd still make them sob. The story is amazing, the players are exceptional, the villain is a broken grieved man, the freakin bride is dead (a bit), and the last half-hour is some of the most moving TTRPG ever. This is a game, and they turn it into a real story. Nerdy ass voice actors huzzah.
That would be me. The only thing I’m confused about Vex vs Vax? But this as a hook worked ridiculously well and now I’m digging back through for a good starting point into this world. Thank you, algorithm, for the introduction to whatever this is!
I was looking trough the comments and could not find anyone adress how amazing Tarys speech was. You can really see Sams charisma behind it. Making it emotional, personal and poetic and a little funny in a perfect mix. I love it
*SPOILER* Technically, per the wording of Scanlan's wish, if at some point Velora Vessar gets married, Vax could return and say a few words there too. "I wish that Vax-ildan can say a few words at his sister's wedding." Half-sisters are still sisters!
But the word :sister's: and not :sisters': implies that there is a wedding belonging to one and only one sister rather than a wedding belonging to more than one sister. Therefore, it is up to interpretation: (1) Scanlan's interpretation would likely point to Vex, and so would Vax's, if he had a say; or (2) the god's interpretation could be many things, like the *next* sister to be married, or only the *real* sister and not half sistor, or *not Vex, but Velora* because the god is a jerk, etc.
It's always weird to me how peculiar people gets with the wording when you cast Wish. It's not a Djinn, nor an artifact. You don't ask to an entity that tries to trick you or will take your words litterally, it's your own power altering reality the way you wish. Your words are merely the verbal component of the spell, your intent is what actually counts. When Scanlan wished for Vax to be present at his sister's wedding, he meant Vex and no one else.
@@XoIoRouge just for fun: Scanlan spoke this wish into existence so the pronounced form of the word is what we have to consider. So, having said " sister's ", Scanlan could argue that his intended meaning for the word was the possessive form of the plural of the word, i.e. " sisters' " in which case vax is enabled to say a few words at each of his sisters' weddings
It was dice perfection that it cost Scanlan his last ability to cast wish in order to make that happen. His last wish. And it was what he wanted all along 💜

It'll be there. I have no doubts. It could be a flashforward or they could make it where Percy & Vex never got married in the 1-year time-gap so this is their actual wedding.
Every single character got to shine in this, in such an amazing way. This was the perfect session. Percy's quick thinking got his friends to find them before it was too late. Vex landed the final HDYWTDT. Pike's Spiritual Weapon was the best fucking use of that spell *ever.* Keyleth terrifying the enemy with her sunbeam spell, and just killing it as a level 20 druid in general. Grog completely pinning the enemy down, singlehandedly keeping them from getting away while poisoned. And of course Scanlan, with the most touching use of Wish of all time. And you can tell he still doesn't feel it's enough, after he couldn't use it in time to save Vax. I cant come up with a sentence strong enough to describe how great this session was. Bravo everyone. And of course, bravo Matt for bringing Sylas back at such a perfect time.

@@elbruces I've always thought he was a cross between Batman and the Doctor. Heck, his design in TLOVM is basically the 10th Doctor. Percy's always had the long blue coat, waistcoat, neck-adornment, and signature hand-tool, but the faux-hawk hair they gave him really cemented the visual comparison.

It is still so fucking funny that Keyleth is deeply powerful and well respected as a leader and that Marisha just leans so hard into how awkward she is. I love it so much.
Me when this came out: Derrig is cool Me now: *squints suspiciously at fighter with sword and shield and leather armor with a tattoo motif on his arm of something that shines in the sky and works for Keyleth* Liam, whatcha doing there buddy
I think liam confirmed it in a recent ep that derrig is orym's father-in-law. In reference to calligraphy, he said "derrig taught me how to write in in the air" or sth. Orym's dead husband is a half elf, the only son of derrig (presumably)
IIRC, Liam mentioned in one of the recent 4-Sided Dives that he already planned Orym a long time ago and actually used Derrig to set him up for Campaign 3?
@@henkmalan13 Will, Orym's late husband, was Derrig's son. If I remember correctly, Orym has refered to Derrig like a father throughout the campaign so far.
How amazing is Matt with changing background music so fittingly with any situation, when percy and vex read their vows, and any moment any specific character says or does something, it just changes and matches that character so perfectly. I have nothing but praise.
@@fluffyrinsu4879 It is a common joke/rummer that they are not actually playing the game but that it is instead a scripted show. It is of course completely untrue, but there were enough comments claiming it was that even the cast will make the joke.
I felt he was also mimicking Keyleth's awkwardness. People still leave comments on VM episodes hating on Kiki, and I feel like Liam was trying to support both Keyleth and Marisha by bringing in another ashari who is just as awkward and hopeful and generally "good" as Keyleth.
When Tal managed to think of second wind and climb up the 30 feet he could barely make and just scream for help... I just wanted to hold him. You did all you could do. More than I thought could be done. Fucking bravo.
It's actually Action Surge he thought of, but accidentally said Second Wind out loud. I think Matt understood that he was thinking of Action Surge to take a 2nd dash. (Second Wind is the ability he actually used later, to heal fighter level + 1d10 as a bonus action). But yes, good time to use Action Surge, agreed that was good thinking.

they have a lot of context they can work in as forshadowing and although i was not as happy with s2 as i was with s1 i do love how they're setting up scanlan's arc so far and little bits like this
Mentioning Keyleth in any comment draws the KeyHaters in like a swarm, every time. The fact is those characters are highly differentiated, they just get their rocks off from talking shit about Marisha.
Minor spoilers: For those of you wondering whyy Liam seems so confused - He was not expecting to play Vax again, so pretty much the moment Matt makes it known the wish succeeded, he was getting into character, you can actually see his face change and the fact that he doesn't break character (no matter what Laura says). He was getting back into the voice and mind space of Vax and was only half paying attention to Matt and the others.
I wish Sam had warned at least Liam, though. It felt like Vax from right after Vex died, but just ten episodes later he's back to his normal prankster/reckless self, just with a sense of purpose. I wish we had seen THAT Vax. I wish he had called her "Stubby" just once.
@@tkeil5117 I hate to tell you. but I think that is Vax now, think about it, he's been in the company of the Raven Queen and celestials for a year (and time has no meaning on the plains. so it might as well be 1000 years). I think he would be overly serious and and 'out of touch' by this point. That being said Percy calling him an idiot to bring him out of himself for a moment was pitch perfect.
I think maybe he played as vax himself didnt expect to come back. He made peace with his death and tried to word it to the others to do so as well. He said to vex and percy that he wasnt worried for her and that she is in good hands.and he is happy for her to keyleth thats it may not be the same without him but its ok to move on and to everyone to continue live their lives

how about the ending of C2? I wholeheartedly believe that at least 50% of everyone's tears are Liam O Brien's fault
Always love DMs who know when to best use the rule-of-cool
I will be honest. I am a dm, and when ashley said what she was doing with her spiritual weapon. I immediately said yes. I'll allow it. And when matt said it I was so glad. In all my years of dming, I've not had one player try that under duress. It painted such a beautiful picture I'd have kicked anyone who would try to shoot that down.
It also got me thinking about the way the spell works. And I've begun altering and creating a variant of said spell. The idea is amazing and I think that moment was perfect.
I would totally allow it, and if not Pike could just use divine intervention, guaranteed to work as level 20, so either way it would happen the same
A huge factor is that this is a one-shot and these characters are not going to be going on too many more adventures. There isn't much danger of this being an exploit that they try in an ongoing campaign and the most oddball thing Jester's made is a piano.
4:08:24 Is nobody going to talk about the fact that Taliesin referred to being completely chained up and tossed into the ocean as... "light bondage?"
Tbf, that barely qualifies as kinky to eldritch abominations.
(Vax enters and the music plays)
Me: I won’t cry. I won’t cry. I won’t cry.
Me: (cries)
I read your comment before getting to that point, was like "oh shit, now it won't have the same impact"
I was wrong, cried like little bitch, I haven't cried like that for years
I was already brimming from the second the fog rolled in on the shore because I KNEW who was being foreshadowed, but I held it in. ...as soon as Sam said, "Vex, I wanted to get you a gift but nothing would be expensive enough for you, so..." I lost it. I knew what was coming. And seeing his face when he knew it was his last one... Holy Jupiter shit... From there to the end I was letting out every tear I never cried in my life.
I started tearing up just reading this because i was wondering if he would be there aghhh
I bawled like a little baby at that moment.

Can “Doty 4.0 tried to kill us all” become a one shot where they play as the Dranington brigade stopping a rogue Doty
There IS a one-shot of the Darington Brigade that I haven't watched yet. Who knows what _its_ premise is...
PLEASE! PLEASE!
I'd love if one of the future Doty's ended up as the first warforged in Exandria
Please please please please...
Ha! I’m a broken record. I didn’t even realize I had already replied to this, but apparently I feel the same way about it that I did the first time.
58:00 Imagine a big Goliath Barbarian looking at you with puppy eyes, saying: "Ale, please?"
Give the baby boy all the ale you can afford
Very creative uses of spells. A lapel pin used to do conjure barrage, Spiritual weapon to arm an ally! What a show!
I never thought I'd cry watching a podcast where a man is wearing what Travis is wearing.

Grog is fabulous.
Excuse you, his station requires a certain level of plumage at all times
4:01:50 The way Marisha says "It's not the same without you" and smiles at him just melts me completely...
I was looking trough the comments and could not find anyone adress how amazing Tarys speech was. You can really see Sams charisma behind it. Making it emotional, personal and poetic and a little funny in a perfect mix. I love it
Truly a speech of the ages! I would faint if someone gave a speech THAT good at my wedding! :D
"You're gonna watch us do 3 hours of wedding planning" yes but this is Vox Machina. Someone's getting stabbed

*SPOILER*
Technically, per the wording of Scanlan's wish, if at some point Velora Vessar gets married, Vax could return and say a few words there too.
Man, I love seeing when humans roll high on their intelligence.
@The RedCabbage Depends on the DM.
And it was what he wanted all along 💜
spoilers.
AyeItsSmiley not really. Just said that he used wish and never said what for.

I want to see Scanlan’s gift scene animated in TLVM because oh my god, that’s going to hit different.
Was doing my best to envision every scene as if it was animated while it happened. Especially after having the images of their animated figures burned into my head.
But yes! PLEASE animate this! Don’t care if it’s a special one-time OVA! Just want to see it! 🥺
It'll be there. I have no doubts. It could be a flashforward or they could make it where Percy & Vex never got married in the 1-year time-gap so this is their actual wedding.
Liam O'Brien's superpower is the ability to make me sob like a child
Right! Especially when he looked at Matt and said "we had a deal".
Kind of by proxy of Sam's superpower tbh

Travis: "I look like a New Orleans funeral director."
I missed that, it's so damned good!
He's got friends on the other side.
Every single character got to shine in this, in such an amazing way. This was the perfect session.
Percy's quick thinking got his friends to find them before it was too late.
Vex landed the final HDYWTDT.
Pike's Spiritual Weapon was the best fucking use of that spell *ever.*
Keyleth terrifying the enemy with her sunbeam spell, and just killing it as a level 20 druid in general.
And Trinket with the back-to-back criticals and his own HDYWTDT!
25:32 Looks like Keyleth is living vicariously through Vex'ahlia now seeing how she'll never get the wedding she wanted. :'(
“Know that when I die, you’ll bore me” AN FING POWER MOVE

Good point, Percy definitely gives off some Doctor vibes.
@@elbruces I've always thought he was a cross between Batman and the Doctor. Heck, his design in TLOVM is basically the 10th Doctor. Percy's always had the long blue coat, waistcoat, neck-adornment, and signature hand-tool, but the faux-hawk hair they gave him really cemented the visual comparison.
so the drugged wines from Eskil were from Kamordah? where Beau is from? and isn't her dad in the wine business? that was such a cute lil easter egg Matt
Winona Honey id say it was more a reference to Eskil’s “gift” to Westrun being a trap back before the stream
But yes Kamordah is where Beau is from
Except I assume it wasn't really from Eskil. I assumed that was the wine supplied by Silas Briarwood to poison them, and only used Eskil as a cover.
haha nice 420 likes
@@FulcanMal I assume Silas got to the wine supply and poisoned it. Males more sense than assuming he started a wine business in the meantime just to poison the wedding
Well, Sylas and Delilah were originally from Wildmount... wouldn't be completely impossible for them to have a connection to the Lionett family.
Sam finally got to use Wish to bring back his friend 😢 truly beautiful way to end the saga of Vox Machina. As much as I would like to see these old friends again, I feel like Dalens Closet is the perfect epilogue for this epic group.
I love everyone from Vox Machina, but Grog's just so adorable. Missed him so much (and I love the detail of Travis finishing to throw the petals)

It is still so fucking funny that Keyleth is deeply powerful and well respected as a leader and that Marisha just leans so hard into how awkward she is. I love it so much.
Me when this came out: Derrig is cool
Me now: *squints suspiciously at fighter with sword and shield and leather armor with a tattoo motif on his arm of something that shines in the sky and works for Keyleth* Liam, whatcha doing there buddy
I think liam confirmed it in a recent ep that derrig is orym's father-in-law. In reference to calligraphy, he said "derrig taught me how to write in in the air" or sth. Orym's dead husband is a half elf, the only son of derrig (presumably)
Haven't seen the most recent episode yet, but now I have that to look forward to
IIRC, Liam mentioned in one of the recent 4-Sided Dives that he already planned Orym a long time ago and actually used Derrig to set him up for Campaign 3?
@@henkmalan13 Will, Orym's late husband, was Derrig's son. If I remember correctly, Orym has refered to Derrig like a father throughout the campaign so far.

How amazing is Matt with changing background music so fittingly with any situation, when percy and vex read their vows, and any moment any specific character says or does something, it just changes and matches that character so perfectly. I have nothing but praise.
Damn it, Sam. Once again you provide the emotional capstone for C1. I was not prepared for that ending.

Derrig is just Liam. Nothing more, nothing less.
T Keil except Liam/Derrig didn’t go on a drunken warpath against Kima just because she worshipped a god.
@@KRob811 How are you still mad about that?
Let's just bring back something from the first arc of the first campaign to hold against a character in the post-post-post campaign! Why not?!
I mean, if Liam were an Air Ashari and received extensive armor and weapon training in a fantasy world. But yeah, pretty much
When Tal managed to think of second wind and climb up the 30 feet he could barely make and just scream for help...
@@Peter_Cordes Oh ok. Thanks for the info. I was confused by that part. I remember Second Wind being a healing thing. I just assumed it had a secondary effect that I never noticed before.

Minor spoilers:
For those of you wondering whyy Liam seems so confused - He was not expecting to play Vax again, so pretty much the moment Matt makes it known the wish succeeded, he was getting into character, you can actually see his face change and the fact that he doesn't break character (no matter what Laura says).
It was neat to see Liam's demeanor change. It was pretty funny watching his brow drop lower and lower. He really is amazing.

Derrig is actually a pretty cool character, hope he sticks around for future one shots.
i liked him very much. I don't think we'll see him again though, Liam and Laura said on Talks that this will be probably the last Vox Machina one shot.
