  • Jason Isbell stopped by the KXT Studios prior to his show at the Factory at the Studio on May 9. Isbell and 400 Unit guitarist Sadler Vaden performed 3 songs from Isbell’s upcoming release “Weathervanes”. The new album came out on June 9. Until then, here’s a sneak preview from 91.7, KXT.

    hey, ummmm... this isn't death wish...love Isbell tho how could you not?! Three Great Alabama Icons laid a foundation for interpreting southern art and culture, a way of understanding the duality (really the multitudes) of this thang...Isbell's influence is all over my current poetry and song..finishing up one called "Southern Mythic" right now, a critique in album form accompanied by a volume of poetry...anyway that is to say that he has a more profound impact on thought than he'll ever really know!! George Wallace is in hell now...
