Glad to hear they fixed something that was clearly missing. I'm now curious at the price. If it's more expensive than the base, you might as well just for the apollo for 30 of 40 more.
It was ridiculous that it was missing in the first place, like not putting weewoo lights on the Nursa. How this crap gets past the dev teams is insane.
The main issue is that it's so expensive for what you get. Yes, it has a T2 bed, but the Red has 4 crew beds and a bathroom as well as limited ability to do some cargo runs (especially medical transport), making it an all around better ship for about half the cost unless you specifically need the T2 bed capability.
Well, the terrapin is thought as a combat zone ship, heavy armor and attending the wounded. But we don't have a real scenario to use for that. Until we have large scale raids between orgs. So yeah, now is the Cutlass red the king
While I'm glad to hear CIG did end up adding another small, solo medical ship to compete with the C8R and Cutlass Red, I'm still waiting for the 2 Apollo's to come out. They will be the flagship for dedicated medical ships and I believe they were on the ship shadow tease list of ships coming in the next 12-18 months. I do hope medical gets an updated game play tier and for CIG to standardize their terms, flipping the tier beds to Tier 1 medbeds being lowest injury and Tier 3 being the highest. Reason I suggest this is from base-building this CitCon, the tiers for it had the lowest number being lowest ability and going up. It'd just make more sense to have the same structure across in-game professions.
The one thing they're missing is the very thing that the Terrapin would do great.... be a drop ship. And it'd be ridiculously easy to do. Swap the radar out for a gun turret and bed for weapons racks. Drop seats on the sides. Done.
I wanted to really get this ship but I can't justify it over the Cutty Red. I would rather wait and save the>$200 and apply it towards the Apollo Medivac which can have modules for T1, T2, and T3 medbeds. My only concern for the apollo line of ships is will they have a bed to bedlog from, I despise having to return to a station to log out of the game, I like to stay out on my ships for as long as possible.
Cutlass Red's beds are lower (T3s instead of the one T2), but it's a bigger ship, and multi purpose as it can do some cargo and even carry small vehicles. It also has 4 logout crew beds and a bathroom, meaning it likely has longer range capabilities, and can be flown solo or with a crew up to 4. So for half the price, the Red is a much more well rounded, versatile, and livable ship. The Medapen is probably more of a S&R for fleet ops while the Red can act in that role or do independent operations.
Well, the current Terrapin is utterly useless so I'll likely upgrade to this if I can as I do like the chassis. If they price it in a way that doesn't allow for an upgrade, I won't bother with it as I have other medical ships that do what this does.
I wonder if this will replace the Cutty red as the loaner for the Apollo ? Also anyone know if the ramp is different on the Medipin ? looks it but ive not studied the Bor-a-pin..
Please do a video over both the new hornets they are in the ptu and there has been extremely few videos of them and they haven’t had any good info on them other than the looks of them
The new patch added a jump seat for a second crew member to attend the wounded.

I call it the Turbulance. (ambulance + turtle)

It's called the Trauma Turtle. Anything else is objectively incorrect
This is a beautiful ship that's going to be a juel for the medic players. It's not my kinda fun, but it's definitely going to be a fun ship to use.
I still want a terrapin with a manned turret. 2xS2 for the pilot and 2xS4 for the gunner. sounds like so much fun.

Care*a*pin!!
i like the terravac more
How about a 600i with a med bed. It was only promised multiple years ago.
DocTurtle or DocTur
That’s actually really good, but Careapin.

How would this ship compare to, say, the Cutlass Red?

You havent seen the radar upgrades the Terrapin has got then?
