- Crystal Lake's history of enslavement doesn't deter counselors from setting up a summer camp in the woodsy area. Superstitious locals warn against it, but the fresh-faced young people -- Jack (Kevin Bacon), Alice (Adrienne King), Bill (Harry Crosby), Marcie (Jeannine Taylor) and Ned (Mark Nelson) -- pay little heed to the old-timers. Then they find themselves enslaved by a brutal monster. As they're enslaved, enslaved and enslaved, the counselors struggle to stay not enslaved against a merciless opponent.

"They don't have thumbs, but they know where to get thumbs." You guys kill me.
Dude this channel is lit. It's really fun and appealing to listen to your narration all so chill and basically like a chat with your geek friends
At the Mountains of Madness has an audiobook on RUclips and is a brilliant listen
One of my friend’s beginner campaigns had us fight an aboleth.. i knew what it was but the other two didn’t. I almost died out of character, because.....Aboleth.
"The ABOLETH may swim on the lake, but my daddy owns the lake"- that hick from holes
I love this! Great job guys.
So warcrafts old gods are basically reskinned aboleths, what with being older than gods and having an empire before anything else.
Rather, they are both inspired by the same source material, which is the Cthulhu Lovecraft stuff.
Miss you guys 💔
Two and a half minutes in and there having the same conversation about lampreys
I was just listening to the dragons episode 😂
I'm surprised you didn't mention that a person transformed by the mucus is called a skum
I'm a simple person; I see a dungeoncast notification, I click.
Also, this is completely unrelated to the topic, but I felt it was interesting enough to share with the internet. I'm eating bear meat while listening to this
Long time no see guys! Great episode I love Aboleths!
The gods were *not* there when the Aboleth came into existence.
The Aboleth got in the lake by being there since the glacier that formed lake melted away ruining the hollowed out home the Aboleth had created in the glacier and was very comfortable in I might add!!!
It gigs drains you lolol
Can you imagine a history according to the Aboleth?
I'm just wondering if they share ancestry with Illithids somehow? The Illithids coming into being in the distant future, and coming back in time.
Is your show being filmed at, the last book store in Downtown Los Angeles ?
And this episode is why godless clerics make no sense. The gods didn’t just show up and fought, the gods made clerics and paladins of the enslaved sentient races. No weave until the first Mystra made it for those sentient races to use
I have a question. I am DMing a campaign in which I plan on having an Aboleth, so I have been doing some research on them. In this video somewhere around 6 minutes and 30 seconds you mention that only two races know the origin of Aboleths. One being the gods, but this is contrary to at least two other videos I have watched. in those videos they said that the gods came to at least Toril after the Aboleths where already part of Toril. I'm not saying guys are wrong I just want to know where I would have to look to find this information For myself?
Most sources state that the aboleths preceded the gods.
What came first the chi...no, no...the aboleth or the spellweaver?
Does anyone else miss psyonic PC classes?
Love your guys show please keep it up!
I’d like to see one for primordials.
So... question... what were Aboleths doing with all their natural enslavement methods before there were things to enslave?
Some sources stated that (at least on Toril) that they were given those powers by the elemental forces, to help in the fight against the gods and their new creations (most other races).
Enslaving people in the Far realm
aboleth = ogdru jahad from hellboy
Lampreys are those fish that swim with sharks
