Blame the lack of the step between, "I wrote this." and "Post Message". It's the part where you think before you speak. There's a reason Social Media doesn't like an Edit Stage, where you read what you're writing, and think before putting it out there.
Our society is literally falling apart because we haven't had to think before we speak for over 20 years. Social Media has created a collective consciousness that literally blabbers like cranky toddlers because we go from, "Inspired to respond" to, "Blah blah blah", within microseconds, with no intermediate stage - ya know, the part where we use our evolved social skills as part of being civilized.

They’re almost meek to a fault. Today we’d get something like a attacking the fans, declaring the show is great and you’re a cist/phobe etc if you disagree.
They’re definitely aware they are putting on the shoes of a legendary show and that it’s going to take a lot of work and time to live up to it.
Which, of course, is how it should be. It should be very difficult to accomplish what they ultimately accomplished.
Of course, the studio probably also thoroughly made it clear how particular and, um, loud the ST fanbase could be, so please please please be nice 😊

I think you mean VFX not CGI, there was very little CGI in TNG when it originally aired. The crystalline entity was CGI. There has been some CGI added to the remaster, There's some very bad CGI in the second season or a constellation class ship. It's really to bad star trek has been destroyed by idiots.
