No no no no …..be pilot ffs not this mundane sh-t. Or be a flight attendant. If you want to earn a bigger salary / have a more interesting job / want to have a girlfriend? Ffs ….do not be-co-me an Eng…n…ear. This is not like a cruise ship e,ngimeer.
Only license holder of aircraft maintenance engineers can work close with the aircraft. Usually for diploma or degree holder of the same field works with the management of engineering department of the aircraft. THERE'S A DIFFERENT. I prefer to be in the hangar where everything is noisy and dirty.
yes only license holders are allowed you know i have the license and ground run authorization and the new comers with degree in aerospace even they work under us they get trained and then they are allowed to work on aircraft. So,its a privilige to work and to be associated with such beautiful piece of engineering
I work for United..but I work Terminal maintenance, not hangar. Much prefer it. You still get to do hands-on work, but you get to interact with people(Flight attendants, flight crew, etc..) and yes, you need a license..In America it is an A & P
I like the video and Cathay Pacific is nice to fly. I want Cathay Pacific in YUL because there is a project off the direct flights between YUL and HKG and iff its become a reality, I want Cathay Pacific doing that.
Very nice video! I didn't know much about cabin engineering at all before watching this video, I've learnt a lot from it indeed! Btw, he is so handsome and charming especially when he talks! Haha!

Dear sir, Greetings of the day, I have completed my aircraft maintenance engineering(AME) from jaipur and OJT completed From air india on boeing fleet like (777-300 ER /200LR, 737-800NG, 747-400 AND B787-8 DREAMLINER and also have 6 months airbus A320 fitted with CFM 56-5B AND V2500 Engine aircraft line maintenance in Airworks.. It means i have 01 year line or base maintenance experience. And i have also clear DGCA CAR 66 module 3,6,8,9 and 10. Could you suggest me what i can do for my bright career.
What ever a costumer see, its from us, cabin engineer, i was fly from hongkong to manila with Cathay Pacific, and the cabin looked shattered inside, like between the cabin parts i saw the isolate matts from the plane... dude... repair that shit xD, i wasnt sure if i should fly with u guys or just abourt the trip ^^, and by the way, the fucking manual breaks was horrible as well from the sound ^^ , but the pilot was good as hell, so also the Engine Failure they repaired at the HK airport looks like i still survive, just keep in mind, h wouldnt fly if it wouldnt be safe at all xD, still i would fly again with you guys, cause nice crew and i think u know what u do at all ;). (CX 935 / 13.04.2017 17:40 HK Time) ^^
Emirates, Qatar, and Cathay have the same income per year. Around how many flight you'd fly throughout the year, (around 30) it'd be around 800-900k per year
different types of entry in the aviation industry thru engineering is aerospace/mechanical/chemical engineering. Those 3 come into mind are most like preferred by the big companies.
It is true that for some people math is easier and for some it isn't. However, if you start studying really hard, you can definitely make it. The point is, if you don't like math at all then it is not a good idea. But I tell, I used to struggle with math, but I started studying statistics and now I am a data scientist. So if you wanna do it, do it. Just be willing to pay the price. Good luck!
I have already experience in avionics at Boing 737-200,300 Aircraft. During this period i was Diploma holder and do job Avionics Technician. Now a day's I have completed MSc Electronics. Can I go to as a Avionics Engineer again in any Air line. So please help me. So guide me and how to.
I work for United, started in 2016. I just filled out an application, went through the interview and testing process and got hired. I work Terminal maintenance(day) on 737NG, 757, 777 and 787. A lot of it is timing. Being ready to go when airlines are hiring. It is VERY competitive. When I got hired, they took in 4200 applications, interviewed 2900 people..and hired 16 of us. They hired more later on, but that should give you an idea of what you are facing. I got lucky. The dean of our program knew the maintenance manager at United, and the top 3 guys in our program got an interview with United. We all 3 got hired..so I kinda had an "in", if you will. Make Contacts!!!
funny these videos. Won't say why i think it's funny. But in general i say it because this brings people on the wrong foot. I'm glad i left the company for another airline.
We miss you Cathay Pacific. Amazing engineers.... Great job

I've been flying with Cathay Pacific for many year and I hope the airline will shine again in the industry.
Cathay Pacific is great as always!
This is not a day in the life, this is an standard sales-presentation!
Well done Hanson. Your very good

the guy in this video is a trainee engineer and is only working in production planning and he is far away from the root level of work
I do agree, being in the hangar is better than a desktop

Dang i thought he was shinya aoki for a second.
iam an engineer with Degree in aeronautical engg. I worked for Indigo airlines at India.
Where is mainantence center?
I want to know what is the income for this job? I'm interested in engineering.
very high. My estimation especially for a big airline company like cathay would be roughly around $80k - $120k in USD
Emirates, Qatar, and Cathay have the same income per year. Around how many flight you'd fly throughout the year, (around 30) it'd be around 800-900k per year

If you have a master degree in electronics engineering, I would advise you to use your telnet and go into design instead.
