For those who are saying the video is inspired from SQ's, I would say no. South East Asian Airlines are adapting the same theme as well to showcase country's people, culture and tourism - e.g. Philippine Airlines inflight safety video. No comparison, everyone is unique in many different ways. By the way they keep it with the Cantonese version too - kudos! 👏

I was thinking about the new safety video because Cathay had used the old one a long time ago. I am so happy that this video use lot of HK culture instead just inside the plane. Amazing job.

Not only does it showcase the picturesque sceneries in Hong Kong, but it also gives all passengers a sense of what Hong Kong is like before the plane lands at HKG. I especially like the transition between the red lanterns and the escape path lights. Well done Cathay! Maybe we can all look forward to the new uniform real soon (?) I honestly can't wait!

Been traveling to HK from LA for 25 years+. Just returned 2 days ago. First time I didn’t take Cathay as the fares are too high. Prefer Cathay but prefer to pay reasonable fares more. Great video.
