My wife was on flight 890 on the 21st of April and all I can say is is thank you for being her home back to New jersey safely. My wife was treated very well. The training and professionalism that they show is top notch

For Captain Ron & the rest of Cathay Pacific. I viewed this video at the end of 2019 when I was looking at flight school, I recently passed my private pilot in the states in 2024 now. I will pull up this video every few months for inspiration. This video was beautifully filmed.

As a kid, I’ve always dreamt of having a career in aviation. I’ve always wanted to be a pilot but I don’t exactly come from a wealthy family and I know that flight school can be very expensive. My family has even told me that becoming a pilot really isn’t much of a possibility for me. Instead of being a pilot, my next idea for a career is to become an aerospace engineer and work for Boeing. I hope that one day I’ll be able to fulfill that dream.

I really respect pilots. Being a pilot is the most pressuring and stressful job.
As far as I can remember, it was my 6th time to travel or board a plane, and my first time seeing the cockpit. Ever since then, I have dreamt of becoming a pilot. I watch pass this video to find more inspiration. Leaving a comment and promising myself that I'll come back to this whenever the time comes that I made my dreams become my reality.
I have so much respect for pilots! They are great people!

I was 3 years old when I first flew in a B777, it was a flight to from Angola to South Africa, from that day I decided that I want to fly to the rest of my life, that's why I want to become a pilot and looking forward to be one in the next 3 years, I'm 20 :)

Good, it's great that CX is showing the "behind-the-scenes" coverage of a flight. They should do these kind of videos more, to provide the layperson more insight into what a flight involves and reinforce confidence the public has for the airline's professional standard.

If you have Science still you can fly just join a different job in aviation industry and then save the money for your CPL.

God didn’t want me to fly. I get goosebumps once i enter a cockpit. Salary wasn’t even something I thought about, not even once. It was the passion, the desire to sit in that cockpit, that beautiful cockpit. I’d been wanting to become an airline pilot since i was 7 years old. It had been my only dream. I’d have given my life for it! Now when i turned 16, i applied for SPL. I was almost there, just a couple more years for my dream to come true! Flying had been the only career i looked forward to. Even if i wanted to look for other careers, my heart wont allow me to. I gave everything for it.. I gave my class 2 medical and turns out i have mild-duetan colour deficiency. It broke me. The doctor told me ‘’you cant fly, ever.” Now its over.
i don't have enough money to be pilot but im not gonna stop here i will be aircraft maintenance engineer one day Inshallah

@@uupa_luupa go for your dreams. It doesn’t matter if you need glasses you can always wear them. I’m going through flight training now and I must be wearing glasses at all times when flying

@Josephine Leung CPL stands for Commercial Pilot License. Basically, you need it to get a job as a pilot.

@@henryng5819 Cathay Pacific did not want to. The airline wants to serve its workers and people, but they can't serve them if the CCP closes them. They had no choice. They're still a world-class airline.

What a difference seeing disciplined professional pilots such as these two compared to some of the arrogant American ones !!
American airline pilots are among the best trained pilots in the world.The FAA has strict mandatory required training for all U.S. pilots. I feel very safe flying on any U.S. carrier, including the budget ones like Spirit or Allegiant.
I trust the American pilots but not the American airline companies. They like throwing passengers out after they seated
american pilots are the best because most of them come from the military so they are extremely good at getting out of dificult situations. If I had to have one pilot save my life it would be an american pilot. hands down.
