I start nursing school today! I’m so exited right now, I woke up 4 hours before class starts just to watch other people on RUclips get ready for nursing school 😅
thank the Lord there’s a RUclips channel like yours, definitely needed! I’m hoping to start nursing this September and now is the time to watch all your videos, thankyouu!❤️ and you’re studying child nursing!!
Morgan Wilkins Aw thank you so much! Just subbed to your channel, it was so interesting watching your day in the life as an RN! I can’t wait to be doing what you’re doing x
I started nursing in january so i wasn’t able to go on placement :( but its nice to see this kind of videos of uk nursing students, hope i get to go soon. nice video
Prim rozay thank you, will do! I’ve just checked out your channel and subscribed, will be great to see what you talk about when you qualify as well. Good luck with your final year! X
Omg I'm wanting apply to kings for child nursing. I'm really struggling and stressed. If I didn't meet entry requirements am I automatically not gonna b considered like on results day entry requirements might b ABB and I get a BBB or ABC or BBC?
娟Juan It all depends, just try not to stress too much about getting exact grades and just focus on studying to the best of your ability! I’m not sure how lenient they will be due to Covid impacting your education, but just keep pushing!
Obviously I can only speak for Children’s nursing, but as it is smaller, the wards aren’t as big as adult wards. It’s very interactive we learn a lot about child development and care for children from birth up to 18/19, so there’s always something interesting to learn or see with such a range of ages x
Alexandria Grace Thank you for answering I swapped from Adults and Children to Adults and Mental Health, I woke up from a nightmare about Paediatrics and I was like HELLLLL NOOO lol. I feel MH is more suited to me.
Hey, in my first year I started the course in the September and then had my first placement (it was a two week introductory placement) in the November so it was quite quick! But I know due to COVID this is probably different for current first years x
Naz Naz Biology a level would definitely help you with the science side of things and btec health and social care is good preparation for nursing. But it’s really up to you and why you enjoy as nursing degree requirements for subjects aren’t very specific, but of course it depends on the uni xx
Shell Pullar Sorry about that. At the beginning I didn’t want to wake up my family and at the hospital it was very hard to find places to speak loudly that weren’t occupied.
So nice to have a UK version of this

hey, do u do a placement in your first year of uni? or when do u start x
Hey, in my first year I started the course in the September and then had my first placement (it was a two week introductory placement) in the November so it was quite quick! But I know due to COVID this is probably different for current first years x
And my first proper 6 week placement was in the February after that x
What courses do I need to do in College/sixth form to do child nursing
You can do whatever you want but some unis require you to do biology or btec health and social care x
I was so close to go to kcl to do nursing
Ssol 솔 ah! what changed your mind?
Alexandria Grace went to look for accommodation and it was hella expensive. So I chose to go Surrey 😅

How long are the hours normally for the lectures and also placements
Lilly Ray one lecture is normally about 1.30-2hrs long and most placement shifts are 12 hours long (days and nights), but some placements do 9-5 x
