Very useful thank you so much. I'm a male 25 who lived alone my whole life but in my home country the cost of raw ingredients and eating out had not much difference so I always ate out to save time. Now I've moved to a country with high labor costs and started cooking to save some money so I'm researching the basics. It's actually very fun 😄 got a rice cooker for almost free and was curious if I needed an air fryer (since our oven doesn't have a a blow option). You just convinced me man, i can get one for the price of 2 meals here! Absolutely bargain, so thank you again 🙌
Superb series! I'm loving it! So organized and educational to those who are setting up their first homes yet do not have that great wealth of experience! Thank you!! oh yes, not forgetting, the awesome review of those novelty items that not just simply tells us 'no' but also explains the rational behind them!
Loved the "subtle" IKEA hint for skillets. Had me rolling the moment I saw your facial expression! I can tell I'm going to really enjoy your videos, Ming!. New subscriber here. I can't wait to dig in and binge watch and learn whatever I can from you, sir! Thank you for your content!
I’m new in your channel and I loved how you compared items vs knife. It really made me consider if I want to spend money on items that are not really useful when I can use the knife!
That was very helpful. I’m moving out of my parent house soon and was looking to buy stuff for the kitchen and this was very informative. Didn’t want to buy useless things that I’ll only use once. Thank you for the video.
There's 1 more thing I'd have added to the arsenal is a good quality grater/microplane. It makes life so much easier when it comes to making garlic paste and/ or ginger paste etc. It also is perfect for grating cheese. Fun fact is you probably don't even need to peel the garlic clove before grating as it would peel the skin as you grate.
i am glad this video is very Singaporean friendly.. a lot of videos onlines is intended for American kitchens with big kitchens and brands which we never hear of.. I like how he say a certain large furniture company that's blue and yellow.. lol
Very informative and Ming speaks so well. The only thing I want to nitpick is the "single use item", this is more like things you can only use once and throw....the better may be "unitaskers". Cheers.
Got nearly all, except for rice-cooker, airfryer, and the single-use stuff. Did try my dads airfryer, and hated it, got more control in an oven. Cooking rice on the stove, and it gets perfect every time. What every kitchen should have, are the mini-spatulas, you get everything out of tins/glass/small plastic containers.... I got more than 10, and I use them every day.
"You can find some good quality heavy bottom non-stick frying pan at a ...certain ...furniture store with colour scheme of blue and yellow..." You mean Ikea? Hahaha💀😭
Hi. I liked this video and topics on kitchen organization. I would like to ask which pan that you have showed in this video suitable for steaming food e.g fish? Thanks.
Sad he didn't include a microplane zester. Great for parmesan, citrus, nutmeg, garlic and ginger for dressings, and more! Still this is a really good segment. Enjoying his delivery method. 😊
TQVM. I have ahuge kitchen with EVERYTHING and anything LOL. collected over the years. Now Im finding them cumbersome but dont know which to get rid of. The moment I try to Kondo them, the love keeps cropping up
You are definitely right that air fryers are like mini ovens and physically work in similar ways. However there are some differences - some newer, smaller apartments don't come with built-in ovens as standard, and air fryers take a fraction of the time to reach temperatures and heat things up quickly!
whoever decided to make this show with this incredible man, THANK YOU
Instablaster...
❤💕💕🧚🏼♀️
Definitely! Thanks for your insightful guidance.
Ming is actually very fun to watch!
Interesting episode! Pls continue this series !!!
Ming is really knowledgable and eloquent - Thanks for having this series.
Thank you for teaching us all to adult and build a working kitchen, Ming!! So good!

The way he wants to say 'ikea' tho hahahahahhahaahhahahahahah
I thought he meant Walmart!
I love this new series! So informative and entertaining.
Amazing segment! Super helpful plus amazing host too. Isn’t pretentious and no whiff of “i’m-too-fancy-i-only-use-expensive-highend-stuff”
I love the information categorized into parts and make it easier for me to noted.
love this series. I can sense his passion.

Love the series ♥️♥️
Wow, awesome video, I learned so much!
A man who can treat his non stick pan with care can definitely treat a lady well

A lot of online* videos are* intended for Americans* with big kitchens ...
loving the series!

Will this series continue? This is very informative and useful
A reasonably good wok covers all three categories of pot/ pan, if you're limited for choice in some way
Great and informative video. I actually learn alot of new things. Please do a video on different ways of cutting and slicing food next😊
One color scheme store... Interesting...

thank you for this vid! I'm lost in the kitchen lol
Love this new show
Nice show! And yes, my knife over any single use items 🔪
"You can find some good quality heavy bottom non-stick frying pan at a ...certain ...furniture store with colour scheme of blue and yellow..."
You mean Ikea? Hahaha💀😭
Im glad i found you

Looove. Very helpful
Wow new series I like it

IKEA chopping board? Looks identical to mine that’s from the blue and yellow store
What I learned here; never come in between a chefs fav knife with a fancy device 😉
i like this technology
I still loooooooove my garlic press!
Very nice new show
TQVM. I have ahuge kitchen with EVERYTHING and anything LOL. collected over the years. Now Im finding them cumbersome but dont know which to get rid of. The moment I try to Kondo them, the love keeps cropping up
Would you recommend carbon steel pan or wok? It doesn't have the unhealthy non-stick layer and can take high heat. It's as durable as cast iron pan.
Why does each and every air fryer look like a Darth-Vaderized kinder surprise egg?
So helpful
Very interesting show! 👍 Thank you.
What cast iron pan is that?
Liked it
I wish there were subtitles or labels. So i can note what to buy
2:41 ugh learnt this too late. My non stick pans got badly scratched by the yellow & green sponges
Very education indeed
Where can I get the 3 in 1 blender/whisk/food processor?
The brand is Tefal.
For the sponge to wash non stick pans, would reusable sponges work? Made of cotton material?
Yes, they would.
Where can I buy a Chinese wok spatula please
At the same places you buy woks, such as Asian supermarkets.
u sold me on the hand blender
I like these series, but there were too many ads for me
What do u call that hairy look like sponge sir?
💖💖💖
Who else took note of all the brands he used and is adding them to your cart in the shopping platforms?
On another note, can he talk about oven next?
i'd exchange that puny sauce pan with a wok
I'll add wok to the list. Saucepan are really useful for making baby food or anything small in quantity
About non stick pans, I usually never scrub them. Otherwise your nonstick pans will become a stick pan. It then becomes very useless
12:44 duiesshhh
Dammit where's the links lol
Where are* the links?*
Interesting how he wanted to say ikea so badly haha
Very helpful list! But as an Asian I'd add pestle and mortar in there 😁
My sponges all look the same.....
He’s quite cute tho.
Nuuuuuuuu i presssed the wrong ond waaaaaaaaaaa UnU
The air fryer is just a conventional oven, most kitchens have ovens, it cant be essential 😑
You are definitely right that air fryers are like mini ovens and physically work in similar ways. However there are some differences - some newer, smaller apartments don't come with built-in ovens as standard, and air fryers take a fraction of the time to reach temperatures and heat things up quickly!
Truth bombs every minute, up to around the first 10 mins. Gadget review seems a bit off tangent. TL;DR, nothing beats a great chef's knife
... off target*
Heyo
Interesting how he wanted to say ikea so badly haha
