I'm not a mechanic but I'm a technician that works on all types of I.T. equipment. Looking at your very new looking connections I find it hard to believe that there was much if any corrosion involved unless you already cleaned it up prior to making the video. Reseating the parts as well as pulling out the cable might have removed the short which resolved the issue.

A fresh ground wire has no issues with continuity. Enough corrosion/rust could be enough to disrupt these sensitive electronics nowadays. After I cleaned up the wire, I have not seen the error code return. I would rather replace the corroded cable but this was a cheap easy option.

    Nice video.
From what I've read, when you change the camshaft sensors L/R, you are suppose to change the crank sensor, in my infiniti is near the transmission on driver's side.

Thanks. All the cam and crank sensors were changed.

@@btbuildthings it actually worked my code is gone. I have a 2005 Nissan quest with the 3.5 and the code is gone, I drove it 300 miles already and everything is working good.

U didn't fix the problem u just reset the ECU by taking of the ground

Ensuring that the ground has a solid connection resulted in the U1000 code being addressed as it has not come back up as an error again so far.
