- Netflix shares a chilling first look at season 2 of Ryan Murphy's true crime anthology series, 'Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.' Following Evan Peters' portrayal Jeffrey Dahmer in season 1, Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny step into the roles of José and 'Kitty' Menendez, the Beverly Hills parents who were infamously gunned down by their two sons. The series also stars Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Erik and Kyle, plus Nathan Lane as famed crime author Dominick Dunne. All episodes of 'Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story' will debut Sept. 19 on Netflix.
I have a feeling that the monsters that the show’s title suggests are not who we think.

@@MJ4lifecalifornia you are entitled to your own opinion, but I think the evidence that surrounds their claims of sexual abuse are very much real. A boy band called Menudo from the 80s even cited that Jose, the father of the two boys, was part of a sexual abuse ring within that boy band.

Oh that show he did with Sarah Paulison. About Ms Ratchet?? That was great!! He’s just incredible at what he does. Him and Burton are my Favorites.

@@Kobe24brady12 YES! They've learned their lesson. They're not like Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, Jeffrey Dahmer, TBK. They deserve to be released. Especially the horrible things what their parents did to them. I can honestly say, I don't blame them for doing what they did. They deserve to be free from prison.

Doesnt matter. No one does it like Ryan. Despite the countless awful dahmer movies monster s1 was like finally seeing what happened for the first time. He has a fearless way of telling the full tale even if it humanizes the villans.

@@NATHANIELJELKS-PLANEJANE-FANThe Menendez story needs to be told again. Literally in Dahmer they covered half of his biography and there has been plenty adaptations beforehand as far as Richard Ramirez his biography needs to be told as well because he was the epitome of evil as well.

I understand Ryan is talented… but he really does over sexualize things that do not need it. It seems he struggles to tell a story without over using nudity and sexual tones.

I don't think that you can say that they weren't abused but there is an actual financial motive. The computer could have had a revised will on it. The play and Billionaire Boys Club. Casey Anthony's lawyer actually used the molestation defense and it helped get her off. Someone probably did abuse these boys but unfortunately the parents are dead.

What I love about his films is the eroticism he adds to the gruesome crimes. It's like it makes something so disgusting and so disturbing not only watchable, but sort of sexy. For adults that's powerful, but for kids watching it I can see how it would make them want to be the misunderstood "anti-hero" in their own story. Not that something like this would ever actually influence someone - we all know that's laughable and impossible. I'm just describing his work and the impact it has on the audience.

Meh gonna watch it, just feels like a set back from Jeffrey Dahmer. We're talking about 2 guys that killed there parents and that is all. Dahmer killed many, just feel like they should of up the the ante like with John Gacy instead unless he gonna be the final chapter of the series.

Just an observation-again, white Spaniard Javier Bardem is playing an ethnic Latinx character based on a real life person? He’s a brilliant actor but it’s a point worth observing. White Spaniards aren’t Latinx. That’s it.
Jose Menendez was Cuban and most white Cubans are descendants of Spaniards. The casting is well done.
