      @@ExperienceBasement Reese is a genius cook, Dewey is a musical prodigy, Francis is a genius tactician and natural leader, and Malcolm is a genius with actual book smarts. There's also clues to the fact that Hal and Lois are also incredibly smart but in different ways. Lois seems to be be more like a combination of Francis and Malcom given her ability to keep the family in line while constantly being able to outsmart Malcolm and Hal is like a mix of Reese and Dewey due to the fact that he seems to be able to grasp and even master new hobbies and talents overnight such as DDR or painting.

      That’s not what gaslighting is

    • @artofsam
      @artofsam 4 дня назад +2

      Yeah I don't think gaslighting is what you think it means.
      Being caught not telling the truth is not gaslighting, its when somebody brainwashes you and convinces you to think in a 'certain way' that you wouldn't had done without conditioning over a long period of time.
      For example many people who are in a physically abusive relationship when confronted about it will often blame themselves, because they were also mentally abused to never question authority, that is gaslighting.
      Another example would be if somebody told you 2+2 is 5 or any other number other than 4, you know the answer is 4 because you understand what truth is and you correct them, but what you get in return is insults, emotional abuse, shaming (often publically) and constant beratement for questioning that person who has established themselves as the figure of authority. Eventually, for the sake of self preservation you give in and believe in the lie against all better judgment. That is gaslighting.

      Hard disagree. Nobody forces them to go to funerals, who do you expect to watch the children? Most of the time, everyone that could is also attending! Most funeral homes have places for children to get away from the death and despair too.
      Death comes for us all and does not discriminate based on age. All kids typically lose someone to death and struggle with thw concept of mortality and funerals are a great place for them to learn healthy ways to grieve and start going forward without their loved one. This mindset shelters them and causes more harm in the end than an end of life celebration ever will.

    • @saram404
      @saram404 11 дней назад

      @@SteviiLove You do force them to go if they don't wanna go..Like thats literally what happened on the video. You don't need to force a kid to go to a funeral to teach them about death, mourning.
      Forcing your kids into anything that doesn't have any actual benefit to them does more harm than good. There's objectively no reason why they need to be at the funeral if they don't want to. Not only that kids can actually be more disruptive than anything especially when they didnt wanna go. Its a different thing if they do wanna go, but that's their choice, the same way adults also have the choice to attend a funeral or not. Funerals can be so draining both mentally and physically putting that onto a child that does *not* want to be there is just awful. You wanna teach them abt death? and mourning? then do. Why do they need to be forced into a funeral to learn abt that? Especially abt people they do not care about or even actually knew you're just surrounding them with mourning and can even make them feel guilty or confused abt why they're not as sad as everyone else.
      It's ok to only go to the funerals you actually want to go, and its extremely important to learn how to not feel forced or guilty for not wanting or not going to someone's funeral. People should have their own boundaries and understand what is helpful when it comes to mourning for them personally, and not yalls ideas of what should be normal and forced onto people. Learning to create healthy boundaries when it comes to how you deal with your feelings and with mourning is what's important for kids to learn.
      The only reason you should go to a funeral you don't particularly care about is to support your loved ones that did, which should never fall onto a kid to support them so why would u force them anywyas?
      Like how awful of a parent can you be that you cant teach them abt death and mourning without taking them into a funeral? Especially when kids can experience grieving so much differently than adults??

    • @Kaboomboo
      @Kaboomboo 6 дней назад

      @@saram404 Has everything to do with it. Since when do children call the shots? If the parents are going to the funeral for a relative, then the kids go as well because that was their relative too. Kids go where the parents go. They don't get to call the shots. This seems to go over the heads of bad children apologists. When a kid screws up, it's because of the parents. If the kids do or don't want X or Y, then the parents should accommodate. Parents should let kids do whatever they want because they should have full autonomy (which contradicts the first point). That's just the way of it. Kids are kids and they are under the authority and watch of the parents. If parents attend, the whole family does. They don't get to call the shots.
