@@kendallrivers1119 Umm their behavior was literally cartoonish. One of the best parts of the show is that every character is basically a human cartoon. Maybe you should watch the show again, because as relatable as their relationships are, the things they do are very unrealistic and exaggerated. Thats literally why the show is entertaining. edit: lol did you not even watch this clip? Are you really you going to say that you and your siblings have done anything close to what these kids did? People do some crazy shit, but this show pushes those limits every episode. I am from a family of nine and we are pretty dysfunctional, but I am not going to pretend that we compare to the actual insantiy of Malcolm's family.
Considering that they're getting themselves banned from all future family functions, the song lyric at 2:14 is apt: "Cause if we're going out, we're going out with style!"
The whole family saw that look in Lois's eye and expected her to do something epic about being wronged.. because that's how Lois operates, and they all were ready to have her back. But when when they heard her cry instead... hiding in defeat. They knew that these people needed to pay.
It is actually said through out the show multiple times that Dewys life will be breeze and easy. Same for Malcom having a tough 1 but achieving more because of it. If only for the talents that they have.
hugedebt Dewey is a musical genius. It starts when he’s a kid and teaches himself every day for 15 minutes how to play the piano, and goes all the way up to him actually building his own piano, he has a talent that is easy and natural to him that will carry him far in life and give him the lap of luxury and adoration, unlike Malcom who has to struggle for his happiness.
The golf cart scene is one of the best scenes in television history. It's profound, and delivers an extremely powerful message about family without a single word spoken.
For those not aware, earlier in the episode the little kids (who undo the table) had some sort of obsession about Francis lol. So him getting them to go to work is pretty hilarious lol.
That's how you know you've got a good family: if they make your life sometimes seem like hell, but rain down real hellfire on anyone who messes with you.
"We drove 3 blocks before aunt Claire let go of the door handle." I just noticed that on rewatch. And Hal checking the side-view mirror at 2:46 is a nice touch.
Gotta love the calm fury. Coming from a family whose primary means of communication seems to be screaming, the pensive silence this act was perpetrated with speaks volumes higher of just how infuriated they are than anything else they could've done would have.
2:15 Wow, the expression, the style, the timing. The coordinated take of the table cloth, it's like an orchestrated well choreographed dance of destruction. Perfect 10
The taking of the tablecloth is interesting to me because of how different Malcolm and Reese are, but when someone messes with their mother, they're like a well-oiled machine.
my dad calls this episode one of his all time favourites, because in his words, 'it's the one time the entire family works together and its in order to get back at someone else'
Aunt Amelia: 1:24: "Oh, God, more drama from that woman..." (sniff) 2:07: "The cake! The cake! THE CAAAAAAAAAAAKE!" Every snob who grouses about how sick they are of the little people's whining deserves to have their cake stepped on.
Not one of them bothered to rescue the cake (or attempt it). Getting hit by a slow moving golf cart isn’t going to seriously injure or kill you. But these rich pampered snobs aren’t used to doing any lifting or even taking action.
I love this. This is like a big brother instinct, as in "We are the only ones who can mess with Mom". And then take the fall for her. And get chewed out by her for it. With all the pranks, psychological games and meltdowns this series had, this is the best scene out of it. It declares unbroken, undying support, even though none of the family members would ever admit it.
Piama always kills me during this scene. How proud she looks while they’re destroying the table, chasing after the boys so she doesn’t miss a thing. Sometimes it’s the unspoken stuff that’s funniest
The faces they make when they are slowly sinking into the pool is just the best, it’s if they have accepted the what was coming and decided to go with it.
Remember folks, never peeve off/insult people who have no restrictions and a tendency toward mindlessly destructive behavior. Especially if family is involved.
I have family like that. My cousin and Igot back at them for making my mom cry. We destroyed their 4th of July cookout. Fireworks in the grill what a light show.
An important lesson: When someone does something horrible to you or someone you care about, you have every right to do something much worse back to them.
Actually she was appreciative and was only pretending to be mad about it. Lois didn't want her sons to know that she really appreciated the fact they defended her honor. She wasn't doing such a good job hiding it, because she was smiling and Hal saw it.
Lois face at 0:52 was excellently, so much emtion in one expression JK absolutely aced the role, captured both sides of the character perfectly, from the obnoxious bullying side ofvthe character while still capturing her inner vulnerabilities
I find this scene oddly heartwarming. Also it shows how organized the boys can be if the need arises. Lois is humiliated, disgraced and socially dead in the eyes of the hosts. The boys know that their mother cares a lot more about her social status than they do about their own. So, in order to get out of there with Lois' reputation as intact as it can be, they basically have to outperform her in terms of scandals. This scene really shows that the boys care a great deal about their mother, even if no one would admit it.
It's not about reputation. Hal's family doesn't like Lois at all even if she tries her best. What they did was getting back at them, getting revenge for what they did to their mom.
Yes, the revenge is awesome. But can we take a moment to recognize the other kids’ willingness to crawl under the table, let it loose, and participate in the chaos?!
Cuts off before the best part, where Lois looks behind her and asks if the window's blowing too hard on Piama. Lois realizes that she was doing to Piama exactly what Hal's family had been doing to her for years and she turns it around right in that moment.
I love how the boys defended their mom, it was so sweet! Lois may get onto their cases when they're rambunctious and annoy them, but they love her anyway. That's a real family right there.
I wonder if those horrible people knew how badass those kids were, would they have been so cruel to Lois...The younger boy cousins knew, that’s why they helped, stood back and watched a moment that will be remembered in the realm of badassery (not sure if this a word but it fits). Thanks for uploading!
I love how in an instant it went from Lois being in charge to the boys being in charge. Lois tried soooo hard to just fit in and be good enough for Hal's family, and the second Hal's family united to gang up on Lois the boys gang up to bring chaos and destruction. Easily my favorite moment from the whole show.

To be fair, Lois put her kids through some serious abusive shit too. That family terrifies the shit out of me
@@ethanharmer5151 lol
@@ethanharmer5151 Lol well dang man, you must have grown up pampered because most real families are like Malcolm's or The Bundys tbh lol. I grew up in a black household and that's just normal for us especially.
Family is crazy
Considering that they're getting themselves banned from all future family functions, the song lyric at 2:14 is apt: "Cause if we're going out, we're going out with style!"
I noticed that, lol.
Never noticed that until now
The whole family saw that look in Lois's eye and expected her to do something epic about being wronged.. because that's how Lois operates, and they all were ready to have her back.
But when when they heard her cry instead... hiding in defeat.
They knew that these people needed to pay.
It makes sense now why Hal/Lois say in the season finale that the life of luxury is meant for Dewey, not Malcolm. That trust fund will help a ton.
But Hal's dad was broke before he died
and thats why hal had to turn to crime making crystal meth...
Why though?
2:15 Can we talk about how gracefully Reese and Malcolm grabbed for the table cloth?!
Thanks for pointing it out lol
Damn this was how you remember the early 2000s miss badass shows like these
Yeah the new shows suck
No creativeness from 2010 on
Yes no orginality
hey! what about Boardwalk Empire?
TheOfficialPhoenixTV sorry never heard of it before
@@mikelee-pw2cy Early 2000s was Magic
Goddamn I miss this show
indeed
Best show ever made!
I learned that they were never released on DVD in North America except for the first season. How lame.
Yeah, but it’s on Netflix now, which is great!
but now it is gone off netflix
Love how Malcom just casually reaches up and steers the cart into the statue!
And Francis' look at Malcolm like he was saying, "Oh so we ARE going to hit the statue."
Love how you can see hal trying not to laugh
He's so proud.
Well, they did what he never could do himself; stand up to his family.
If you do that again there will be dire consequences! But not this time...
For those not aware, earlier in the episode the little kids (who undo the table) had some sort of obsession about Francis lol. So him getting them to go to work is pretty hilarious lol.
Don’t forget the horror story he told of the traumatizing to the core
That's how you know you've got a good family: if they make your life sometimes seem like hell, but rain down real hellfire on anyone who messes with you.
The best part to me is how you can tell Hal actually couldn't be more proud of them.
I love how Dewey, always the most innocent one (hes not always innocent, but always the "most innocent") leads the rebellion.
He was in the back at first. Weird.
The song is, “The Last Rock Show” by Bowling For Soup. For those who were wondering.
Thank you
Thanks!
Fun fact: they also sung the P&F theme
@@pap-fr phineas and ferb my guy
lmao, the main singer also did Sonic Unleashed's Endless Possibility.
"We drove 3 blocks before aunt Claire let go of the door handle." I just noticed that on rewatch. And Hal checking the side-view mirror at 2:46 is a nice touch.
I love how Hal smiled. He was so proud of his boys lol
Gotta love the calm fury. Coming from a family whose primary means of communication seems to be screaming, the pensive silence this act was perpetrated with speaks volumes higher of just how infuriated they are than anything else they could've done would have.
The last thing you want to see is a crazy person be so angry, they're calm. That's when they're at their most dangerous.
Screaming is when you can still make peace. Silence is when words are no longer an option.
Piama looks so proud of the boys.
One of the great humanizing moments for Lois. Super tough and no nonsense but vulnerable as well. A lot of people can relate to her.
my dad calls this episode one of his all time favourites, because in his words, 'it's the one time the entire family works together and its in order to get back at someone else'
Aunt Amelia:
1:24: "Oh, God, more drama from that woman..." (sniff)
2:07: "The cake! The cake! THE CAAAAAAAAAAAKE!"
Every snob who grouses about how sick they are of the little people's whining deserves to have their cake stepped on.
The second Amelia has that snide comment the boys though "That's it! You had your fun with our mom and now we have our fun with you clowns!"
Not one of them bothered to rescue the cake (or attempt it). Getting hit by a slow moving golf cart isn’t going to seriously injure or kill you. But these rich pampered snobs aren’t used to doing any lifting or even taking action.
Aunt Amelia should have her name changed to Karen. It suits her personality better.
They would include France's wife in the family pic, but not lois.
Evil people
Their reminder that they don't accept Lois as part of their family and their wishes that Hal had married Susan.
Or Ida and Victor pulled some crap on their wedding
2:57 Hal's contained smile is just priceless
Piama always kills me during this scene. How proud she looks while they’re destroying the table, chasing after the boys so she doesn’t miss a thing. Sometimes it’s the unspoken stuff that’s funniest
Louis' fake disciplinary at the end was as close as to telling the boys that she really loves em throughout the whole series
The faces they make when they are slowly sinking into the pool is just the best, it’s if they have accepted the what was coming and decided to go with it.
I love the look Francis' wife gives after he sees them destroy the cake/table.
"What're you going to do?"
"We don't know. We never know."
Remember folks, never peeve off/insult people who have no restrictions and a tendency toward mindlessly destructive behavior. Especially if family is involved.
1:31 it was at that moment we knew shit was going down
sean-o bigcaff, that music is just perfect.
This shows just how much they really love their mother.
She isn't they want but the mother they need
I have family like that. My cousin and Igot back at them for making my mom cry. We destroyed their 4th of July cookout. Fireworks in the grill what a light show.
cool, hope you don't get sued
coveruplies nope just banned from all future parties
My extended family are jerks. I just ignore em. My mum and sister give em lip if they turn up and start running their mouths
RobynNightShade same but they only hate me and my dad
Liar.
An important lesson: When someone does something horrible to you or someone you care about, you have every right to do something much worse back to them.
I had the feeling they went easy on them.
Given the clown fight, they certainly went easy on 'em.
I'm kinda surprised Lois wasn't more appreciative for it. You'd think she would be.
Actually she was appreciative and was only pretending to be mad about it. Lois didn't want her sons to know that she really appreciated the fact they defended her honor. She wasn't doing such a good job hiding it, because she was smiling and Hal saw it.
Please dont spread this message, its wrong. And dont assume jack shit.
This was brilliant. Revenge at its finest. They even went down with the ship(cart).
I love how in this show the few times they defend each other it's in a big way.
I love Malcolm taking the wheel to hit that statue as one additional "fuck you."
2:36 *"Gentlemen, it's been an honor."*
*Francis:* "Alright, everybody ready?"
*Dewey:* "I was born ready."
I C O N I C 😂
it's fitting too, because Dewey was born on the front lawn, during a family fight, while it was raining lol
Lois face at 0:52 was excellently, so much emtion in one expression
JK absolutely aced the role, captured both sides of the character perfectly, from the obnoxious bullying side ofvthe character while still capturing her inner vulnerabilities
I like to imagine they went from thinking "ive never heard mom cry before.." to blind rage when they realized who was responsible
*makes mom cry*
Kids: "so you have chosen death"
Hal's smiling, thinking "I'm so proud of these kids! Those are my sons!
2:13 it was at this moment that Piama knew, she made the right choice in men
Francis’ smirk, the way they lean down and grab the table cloth, how they sink all the way down with the cart... masterful.
2:12 it was at this moment Piama realized just how much in love she was with Francis
I love it, the basic message is "Noone gets to make our mom miserable but us!"
The ultimate, you don't talk shit about our mom scene in history.
Don't mess with the matriarch of a dysfunctional family!
'What are we gonna do?' 'We don't know...we never know.'
Like I how the guys just hopped onto the Golf Cart Together as if they already planned everything and knew what they were doing. Pure Geniuses
1:30 Collective "OH HELL NO!!" looks lol
Someone always has something negative or nasty to say about Lois. She was kind in this scene.
They took this show off of netflix! T_T I was in the mood to watch Malcolm in the Middle but when I went on there they didn't have it
LEONthemercenarie Hulu has it.
I know. I haven’t even finished the series yet. The nerve!
LEONthemercenarie it's on hulu now homie
Same
Same with Firefly. They just remove all these good shows for some reason
Hearing Lois crying broke me as a kid.
01:35 " we don't know, *WE NEVER KNOW* "
Always gets me 💪💪
Yes, the revenge is awesome. But can we take a moment to recognize the other kids’ willingness to crawl under the table, let it loose, and participate in the chaos?!
Hals smirk as he drives away. proud father lmao!
The level of direction for a scene like this, for basically all scenes in the show, would be unheard of today. And for a comedy too. That’s insane.
This scene and the batting cage scene are two of my favorite scenes in the show.
Cuts off before the best part, where Lois looks behind her and asks if the window's blowing too hard on Piama. Lois realizes that she was doing to Piama exactly what Hal's family had been doing to her for years and she turns it around right in that moment.
Love Reese's goofy smile at 1:06
he know shit is about to happen jaja hes inn
He's crazy! Like always haha!
Lois in the end is really saying thank you to her sons without really saying it and treating Piama better
I love how the boys defended their mom, it was so sweet! Lois may get onto their cases when they're rambunctious and annoy them, but they love her anyway. That's a real family right there.
This scene shows that despite of all the hate Francis shows to his mother, still loves her and the same with Malcolm and Reese
This & the clown fight are probably the 2 best scenes in the WHOLE series
"Did you just call my wife... wide ride?"
@@brianfrost303 that was a good scene. From a birthday related episode too where Lois got screwed over.
I wonder if those horrible people knew how badass those kids were, would they have been so cruel to Lois...The younger boy cousins knew, that’s why they helped, stood back and watched a moment that will be remembered in the realm of badassery (not sure if this a word but it fits). Thanks for uploading!
This and Lois' birthday when the clown calls her Wide Ride. Two episodes when the boys defend their mom's honor.
It was a honor to ruin this party with you men. We will sit in this Golf Cart till the very end 🎻🎻🎻🎻
Piama: What are you going to do?
Francis: We don’t know. We never know.
I love how in an instant it went from Lois being in charge to the boys being in charge. Lois tried soooo hard to just fit in and be good enough for Hal's family, and the second Hal's family united to gang up on Lois the boys gang up to bring chaos and destruction. Easily my favorite moment from the whole show.
i was born ready
"We don't know. We never know!" One of the most touching scenes of family loyalty in this entire series, while also being hilarious.
