@@TeeTee123-u4i I agree! Being able to look at a really cool animal that you'd love to have, but recognize that (at least for the time being) you can't offer the care it needs and thus don't get it, is what shows a good keeper! At the last reptile show I went to, I fell in love with a baby burmese python, but I definitely wouldn't have been able to offer the kind of care that a snake that gets so large would need, and thus I didn't get her! Hey clint! I've got a video suggestion! What about a top 5 or top 10 video of herbivores reptiles? For people that for whichever reason can't deal with live feeders or bugs?
@@papyrusthegreat457 eag eating snakes are cool and probably one of the best snakes you could keep. Drowbacks? when they are small they require very small eggs that you cant buy in most places and you probably will have to contact some canary owner, BUT that wont be a problem if you buy an adult. They are quite good with handling and have rather simple care overall. Eggs can be a pain in the ass if you buy a male (they are smaller) or juvenile eag eating snake, but if you buy adult female, its one of the best snakes EVER in my opinion.
Ahhh thanks for doing this video! I recommend this little guy as an alternative when I see people literally wanting a pet crocodilian! It's nice to protect our wildlife and ensure they're not being kept captive in abusive or neglectful situations. I'm so glad to have a video I can link to now, thanks Clint!
Been in the game for roughly 20 y now, never even heard of them. How awesome is that? You learn smg new every day, especially in our hobby! Cheers for sharing this stinkin rad critter mate...

how about T-rex: the worst pet ? or the Dodo bird: the extinct reptile? also, any other animal that we know for a fact humans caused them going extinct... The giant turtles that were only described as how good they tasted cooked...
Can we take a minute to talk about those colors? Wow, like rocky molten lava. I hope they can recover in the wild. Thanks for showing us this rare lizard! I'd love to see one one day.
Clint, how many videos have you produced? I've been following your channel for about a year now and I can still find videos I haven't yet watched. What an amazing character you are.
Awesome choice for a topic! Your channels been releasing awesome content recently with the birds, spider, and giant lizards, but its also nice to see some more reasonable pets! (Not that a jumping spider isnt reasonable)
The lizard reminds me of a carnosaurus from the skin, mocking what we think a carnosaurus skin looks like and those colors to match... stunning. When he related it to a carnosaurus, I agree 100%. Would get one and name the small beast Carno! Love this lizard with a passion

Clint this here is another beautiful Lizard that you have shown. Having a Candy Corn colored spiked scales on the belly which is one of my favorite candies. And the back so similar to a crocodile's back. However, I do believe you have shown another secret dragon. Super adorable I really wish I have one now.
Love the video, Clint! Ive been watching since the first ball python genetics video, and two animals i'd wish you'd cover for a while are the mourning and golden geckos. I love those guys, and they are very underrated in the reptile community. Cheers!
I'm glad I binged on some of your old videos because I really love chinese water dragons and I love caiman lizards, they look cool I really like the idea of making a tropical semi-aquatic terrarium with living plants and all that, but those lizards are huge. Hey Clint. I learn so much from your videos. I wish you could make a video explaining the aspects that make lizards different from skinks from iguanas and dragons
Wonderful video Clint! I had the good fortune to meet some some Shinisaurus at the Wasatch Reptile Expo a number of years ago, but maybe Owen is no longer breeding them. I always enjoy seeing them at Utah’s Hogle Zoo as well.
Great video, Clint! Amazing looking reptile. We have one at our zoo here in Omaha and love seeing it when we visit. Maybe some day we'll keep one ourselves. 🦎👍
I've heard that certain food can carry parasites etc, such as snails, and to avoid them. Why do these reptiles not have natural defenses for this, is it because they are captive breed?
5:50 I really like your videos, but when talking about the temperature each animal should have, could you please use an actual measurement like celcius or farenheit to describe how hot or cold it should be? Just saying it should be warm and other subjective measures could be taken very differently with each person (eg. I assume hot means around 40 celsius, but for all I know thats too hot)
Can you get a Earless water monitor on the show? :-) they are my favorite, understandably protected in the USA. I hear they have successfully bred them in captivity in Europe. Love the videos keep up the awesome work!!
I know someone who kept one of these in a twenty gallon aquarium filled with about 1/4inch of water and half a cinder block and some branches. THAT is no joke that was the exact set up! oh and no heat lamp (so hight temps...well i didnt see that) fed him nothing but earthworms and mealworms and it thrived for like ten years. oh and it was wild caught too. These are very very hardy lizards. His however would not hold still and would run around the tank if you tried to hold it. So basically my very close friendship almost family relationship with someone who kept one gave me a much different out look on them than this vid
Awesome video and super cool lizard! Could you maybe do a video on wedge snouted skinks? They look like snakes with tiny legs and I've seen a couple for sale but it's hard to find good information on how to care for em!
They actually like cool temperature's mine go through UK winter with no heat at all and it can get as low as 10°c they are fine very inactive until temps warm up which makes them very easy to brumate and breed in the summer you want to keep them as cool as possible if you live somewhere tropical or subtropics
Clint, you should look into Sulawesi water skinks. They are similar to crocodile skinks but a little more aquatic and active. I owned a pair that was very fun to observe.
These guys look like they would be a random creature running around a lava level of a video game.
Lol they remind me of something that could be a boss in a Metroid game in norfair
little dodongos!!
could easily see this in monster hunter but really huge
Breath of the wild!
