I’m a Christian. But this wonderful man speaks a lot of sense. A wonderful advocate for Muslims and Christian’s alike. We need more men like him, in this torrid world we live in.
This is an injustice being attributed to Allah ﷻ similar to how christians believe that people were born with the original sin. Nay, we say just like Rasulullah ﷺ and the Salaf said, that every child is born upon the Fitrah, then it is the parents that turn him into a jew, christian or majoos (zoroastrian). Meaning, it is their parents or environment that corrupts their Fitrah. Otherwise this Ayah Ar-Rum 30:30 - would have no meaning to a person born in a such a state of major sin. Because what he said could be used as a justification by the people of shirk (polytheism and atheism) too, claiming that they were born that way? Just because you want to mold into the american society and seem tolerant, doesn't mean that you should quote what some misguided person said 200 years ago and make it look as if that's what Islam teaches. Allah's Fitrah with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalq-illah (i.e. the creation of Allah i.e. the Fitrah - Islamic Monotheism): that is the straight religion, but most of the mankind know not. [Ar-Rum (the Romans) 30:33] The Khalq-illah (i.e. the Fitrah) is the original state, and then that original state is changed by something else, and that's what the Ayah is stating. And that refutes the notion that the original state could be anything other than the Fitrah. There were early Muslims that hinted at evolution - way before the west swallowed it. Now, does that make evolution true? No! Kadhalika (then likewise), just because someone said something a long time ago that people agree with today, doesn't render that old statement into a Hujjah (proof). He knows this. But still he's doing Qiyas by turning the opinion of fulan from 200 years ago into the Asl, then applying it to the Far' (opinion of westerners today), and the 'illah (effective cause) is "tolerance", and then he comes up with a Hukm. Yet he claims to be a person of Usul Al-Fiqh, babbling about the Usuliyeen this and the Usuliyeen that. Nay, we follow the Qur'an and Sunnah in accordance with the understanding of the Salaf (pious predecessors) of this Ummah. And not what fulan or fulan said. That's pure opinion (Ray'). And Ray' is not a source in the Sharee'ah. But let's say that one of the people that engages in the acts of the people of Lut عليه السلام hears this talk, and then thinks to himself that he was born that way, and then he reads the above Ayah. Now, wouldn't he dismiss the Ayah due to your mention of what fulan said 200 years ago? Where's the cautiousness against ignorantly misleading people into erroneous conclusions? No responsibility whatsoever. Rather the Ayah is negating that anyone is born except upon the Fitrah. And the Sunnah emphasize this too. That's because the Ahlul Bid'ah follow the 'Aql and not the Naql. Because if people were born that way, then sending Messengers wouldn't be needed. Are you saying that the people of Lut عليه السلام were dealt with injustice. So they will come up on the Day of Judgement and plead: _"O Allah, we didn't do anything other than the major sin that You created us with, how can it be our fault?"_ Allah سبحانه وتعالى said, رُّسُلًا مُّبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ حُجَّةٌ بَعْدَ الرُّسُلِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning _in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the (coming of) Messengers._ And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. [An-Nisaa' 4:165]
You see the injustice it ascribes to Allah ﷻ? Not only does it ascribe shortcomings like injustice to Allah ﷻ, it renders the Hudud unjust, and renders Risalah (Messengership) and Wahy (Revelation) irrelevant. And it creates determinism (Jabr). Meaning, that people are forced into sinful ways and that they have no free will just like shaytan who was the first determinist and founder of the Jabariyyah doctrine (determinism), ended up blaming his disobedience on Allah ﷻ. [Iblis (Shaytan - Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected." Allah said: "Then, verily, you are of those reprieved." إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ "Till the Day of the time appointed." [Iblis (Shaytan - Satan)] said: _"O my Lord! Because You misled me,_ I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them on the earth, and I shall mislead them all." إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ "Except Your servants among them Mukhlaseen (sincere who worship You exclusively)." [Al-Hijr 15:36:40] Iblis is saying: _"O Allah, You already knew that I would disobey You, yet You did not prevent it from happening, so You misled me. It was Your fault and not mine."_ Iblis is robbing free will and choice from himself, he is blaming his sin on the Foreknowledge of Allah ﷻ. But he refutes himself, because why didn't he ask for forgiveness? Instead he asked for respite. So did Allah ﷻ force him to ask for respite too? Because Iblis is acknowledging his sin and admitting that what he did was wrong by ascribing misguidance to what he did, yet he asks for respite instead of forgiveness? So did Allah ﷻ prevent him from turning back to Him with Tawbah (repentance)? No, he chose kibr (arrogance), fisq (rebelliousness) and asked for respite until he was given it. See why he asked for respite in Al-Israa' 17:62. Whereas Adam and Hawwa' عليهما السلام also disobeyed their Lord. But instead of robbing themselves of free will and blaming their disobedience and sin on Allah's ﷻ Foreknowledge for not preventing it, nor becoming deluded determinists that ascribe injustice to Allah ﷻ - they blamed it on themselves, on their own shortcomings, thus acknowledging responsibility and free will, and then repenting by asking for forgiveness until they were forgiven. See Al-Baqarah 2:37. Allah ﷻ forgave our parents, and there's no such thing as "the original sin". They are of the people of Jannah who will return to their Home that they were expelled from for this world of toiling and testing and the abode of deeds, reaching truth and reaching realization. So both Iblis vs Adam and Hawwa' عليهما السلام were given what they asked for. Respite vs Forgiveness. And their Lord called out to them (saying): "Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you (aforetime): 'Verily, Shaytan (i.e. Iblis) is an open enemy unto you?' " قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ They [Adam and Hawwa' عليهما السلام] said: _"Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers."_ [Al-A'raaf 7:22-23] And from this we learn that Allah ﷻ gives respite and time to wrong-doers to come back to Him with repentance. And that He is Oft-Forgiving and Most Merciful to those who do that. And also that people have free will while Allah ﷻ is the Creator of their deeds at the same time because He has no partner creator alongside Him like the dualist polytheists (majoos, horus vs seth, dark vs light, yin vs yang) believe. Meaning that both the Qadariyyah and Jabariyyah are misguided, and that the truth is in the middle path when understanding Al-Qadr (Predestination). And that is the Salafi 'Aqidah. O Muslims, becareful, because you are living in the west and are heavily being affected by their values just like the Bani Israa'il (Children of Israel) who grew up in Egypt were, until they worshipped the calf when Musa عليه السلام was away for 40 days worshipping Allah ﷻ. Think about it, they worshipped the calf even after seeing all the Ayat (Signs) and miracles. Why? Because the society that they grew up in had huge scars on them. The generation that grew up in Egypt had to be rid of, and that could be one of the 'illah (reasons) or hikmah (wisdoms) behind not allowing them the Holy Land for 40 years. It was those that grew up under the Tasfiyah wa Tarbiyyah (purification and education) of Musa and Harun عليهما السلام, those who were free from egyptian values, like Yusha who is the boy that follows Musa عليه السلام to meet Al-Khidr in Surah Al-Kahf. It was under his leadership that the Bani Israa'il conquered Palestine and not under those that grew up in Egypt. Very important to grasp this. Because living in the west has similar effects. And it seems that you're becoming like those who were scarred in Egypt. Are you those scarred by the west? And these sufis, will turn you into those that grew up in Egypt if you do not follow the understanding of the Salaf of this Ummah. Or have you a Book wherein you learn, That you shall therein have all that you choose? [Al-Qalam 68:37-38]
You find it comforting because it resonates with your natural inclination (fitra) and your soul. If you read about Islam/ read the Quran (with impartiality) your intellect and reasoning will also find comfort.
Islam is a beautiful way of life. I made the decision to submit to Allah's laws and follow Islam 18 years ago. It is the best decision I made and it is a complete way of life full of guidance for mankind
"The people of Lut rejected (his) warning. We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks. And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning." (Surat al-Qamar:, 33-36)
so why does what happened back then to Lut, not happen again? Genuinly curious about this. Maybe it was a situational/ time thing for back in the day that we have to hold into account that we can't use to judge on current day as He is not raining His judgement the way he did with Lut.

No, this is not "a fact" First of it: nobody was ever created. Species developed. What you are talking about, is the (lack of) knowledge of some 600 yrs mimimum ago. Secondly: Yes, there are mainly two sexes - which are more or less pronounced. This depends on the hormonal household mostly but on other factors as well. There are men, with a lot of female characteristics and vice versa. Obviously you don´t even know the meaning of the term "fact". But what is even more despisable, that the world seems to be full of people, who feel the strong need to restrict, harrass and oppress others. Those people, who don´t feel neither like the one nor like the other sex, usually do not do anyone harm. You and the likes are simply to weak to let others live like they prefer, like they feel and whom they find attracting. Without given Norms, you are naked- and therefore others must be oppressed. People with a mind, a soul, a heart- just like you. You´d better critisize those vast numbers of violent, criminal self-acclaimed "well-guided" muslims, that are responsible for the highest rates of violence related crime in Europe: people with muslim background. And the world knows, that msulims tend to be violent, to rape, to slaughter (they often use the term when they think of Kuffars...) to stone or simply to kill each other driven by their eagerness and zeal. Or the widespread corruption in muslim countries. They are world champions. But a Muslim prefers to attack his indoctrinated "enemies" in the west, before hinting on the desasters in Libya, Turkey and Pakistan - which cost hundreds of thousands of lives through corrupt clerks. Without this dirty bakshish you are a second class person in most of the muslim coutries. Where there is Islam, there is backwardedness, violence and injustice. @@adilshekh8879
But he said that the scholar said some people are born homosexual. This contradicts the Quran in which Allah swt says to the people of Soddom..."Will you do a practice that had not been done by anyone before you?" So it means this act began with the Soddomites and was not something natural from birth otherwise Allah swt wouldn't have made that statement.

So they will come up on the Day of Judgement and plead: _"O Allah, we didn't do anything other than the major sin that You created us with, how can it be our fault?"_
Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning _in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the (coming of) Messengers._ And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.
Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
[Iblis (Shaytan - Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected."
Allah said: "Then, verily, you are of those reprieved."
"Till the Day of the time appointed."
[Iblis (Shaytan - Satan)] said: _"O my Lord! Because You misled me,_ I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them on the earth, and I shall mislead them all."
"Except Your servants among them Mukhlaseen (sincere who worship You exclusively)." [Al-Hijr 15:36:40]
Iblis is saying: _"O Allah, You already knew that I would disobey You, yet You did not prevent it from happening, so You misled me. It was Your fault and not mine."_
Iblis is robbing free will and choice from himself, he is blaming his sin on the Foreknowledge of Allah ﷻ.
Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
And their Lord called out to them (saying): "Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you (aforetime): 'Verily, Shaytan (i.e. Iblis) is an open enemy unto you?' "
They [Adam and Hawwa' عليهما السلام] said: _"Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers."_ [Al-A'raaf 7:22-23]
And from this we learn that Allah ﷻ gives respite and time to wrong-doers to come back to Him with repentance.
Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
Or have you a Book wherein you learn,
That you shall therein have all that you choose? [Al-Qalam 68:37-38]

Which "fact"??! There is no fact.
@@jameschoice3983God created you in a binary. You cannot escape it. That fact
No, this is not "a fact"
First of it: nobody was ever created.

@@WillScarlet1991 he said that Imam Tahawi said that.
@@eesaabdurrahman1569 Yes, but I didn't hear him disagree with that statement.
@@WillScarlet1991 true. Sometimes folks hide their opinions by quoting someone else’s. I hope that isn’t the case here. But with all of the problematic talk coming from a certain American institute, I actually found Hamza Yusuf’s comments to be somewhat refreshing. Still, this is why I generally stick to other speakers, and avoid American institutes that claim to speak for Islam.
One of a great way and Litmus Test to identify Ulama e Haqq (Scholars on Truth) in this day and age is to see where they stand on these woke liberal ideologies. God bless Shaykh Hamza Yusuf.
There's nothing woke or liberal about acknowledging facts and accepting LGBT people exist and should have the same rights as everyone else. Look around, the Islamic world is an abject failure because of backward and primitive thinking and each day that passes you fall even further behind.
Powerful
Respect to any LGBT community, islam shouldn't be a religion of hate to anyone but of love and respect for every race, religion, and sexuality.
yes we should learn tolerance from kurds who have cults that ban hijab . no thanks
Islam as a religion and even the Christianity doesn’t hate any individual at all but hate the actions, The rainbow actions is a great sin in all religions
So you decide for God out of your ego and arrogance?
No respect at all to the artificially inflated, big-pharma-funded LGBT community.
You give your respect to Shaytaan himself? He really tricked you huh
Homosexuality can lead to the end of humanity. Put all the lesbians and gays on separate islands and after a hundred years or so you will find no inhabitants in either of the islands. There will be no two daddys or two mothers as there will be no children to face this disgusting and unnatural choice.
Literally
JazzakAllah khairan
Islam is a religion where we should constantly be studying the universe and develop the religion around principles.
The way we have defined "binary" is based on sexual organs when we could be classifying it all wrong - binary could be a state of mind, something that Allah has given us in our experience and not our genitals.
We have selected a simple answer to an obviously complicated question - we then praise simple people for forcing these simple answers and some even kill in the name of these simple answers.
We're not worthy of Allah.
May Allah give him a longer lifetime
Ameen🤗
His history of what the great learned scholars of Islam left is timeless and phenomenal
Scholars of Islam very funny.
What has islam given the world.
Nothing.
99% of all the worlds advances have come from CHRISTIAN Countries, and generally NEVER MUSLIM COUNTRIES, IslamIC Countries are always backwards. They owe everything to Christian Countries.
You should worship Christian’s for dragging you out from being gator herders.
may Allah keep Shaykh Hamza with us for a long time we need people like him he doesn't need us.
Allahu Akabr ❤️

Which scholar and book is he referring to? i cant find it
امام التهانوي i couldnt find anything about him in english, only in arabic
Where is the daleel from the scholar that he referred to who is saying that someone can be born as lgbt? Again, one should avoid any speaker in Islam who is failing to provide an evidence from the books of Hadith and Quran. Stop sugar coating Islam to please the people! It is beautiful as it is, but the ones who don’t see it or have doubts are blind.
He is suggesting that people may get "a set of sexual propensities and inclinations they are born with" and fighting these propensities and inclinations and remaining normal is their test. Like someone is born with defected limb, less intelligence, six fingers, etc.
The reality is that every society in the history had a certain percentage of homosexuell persons. And the majority of them is born this way. Whether you like it or not- that is a fact. Allah alone knows why he created people this way and it's on him to judge not on you!
@@ahmedalighouri9673 this isn't scientifically proven.

So important that we Muslims take this subject on face to face. Don't let this movement that is now fashionable avoid the saying what Allah says.
Well said Sir ❤❤❤
Astaghfirullah!!
He is a great scholar of Islam and he summarized the problem very well.
He is not a scholar he is a sheikh dont get it confused.
MashaAllah
Fabulously Explained.
The Ruh.
An LGBT Muslim is like a meat eating vegan. Two opposing things can't be one
May I ask the name for the whole lecture? jzkAllahu Khairan
We need the full talk please, I want to hear the full context.
I can't believe people still don't understand what he's saying and going at him like🔪🔪🔪.
He is pretty clear in acknowledging the predicament yet defining the limitations set within Islam, which is 👌.
Didn't he say some people are born gay?
Yea so?
@@ssarah802 So Islamically, being gay isn't a sin? Since they're born with that sexuality?
Yea no not gonna argue. If you get it you get it, if you don't you don't.
@@ssarah802 Looks like you know I'm right but somehow you don't have the courage to admit it.
May Allah bless the Shykh and the brother in islam who is sharing. Can anyone please provide the book / name of the imam who talked about homosexuality? Almustalihat by Imam At tawanhi?
What's the name of the book and the imam the shaikh quotes of?
The speaker should quote more of what the Allah and his messenger pbuh and those whome they told us to follow more. Less of what people say.
The other people you are referring to here, are actually great scholars of Islam subhanAllah..
@@zubeidafester1173 Hamza yusuf is a deviant.
MashAllah what an amazing teacher I could listen to him all day. I wish he could give a lecture to the young Muslimahs in my area… they have all accepted and succumbed to gender ideology it’s so sad I want to help them 😢
We have to learn to convey the message to our sisters ourselves, then 🌺 because the world will not wait for any of us, and in the meanwhile, these sisters will fall deeper and deeper into what hurts them.
May Allah bless you for wanting to help the Ummah, and make us a means through which He does so.
