Good find. I used to find some sort of tech in apartments dumpster once maybe every month. I live next to big semiconductor factory, they employ lots of people from all over, India and china. Large disposable incomes that get spent on tech. Once they are here long enough to buy a house or their VISA's are up, they move and throw everything away. Lots of good stuff, like new. Unfortunately the homeless population has exploded during the pandemic together with our lax'd drug laws, it has brought in a lot of new scavengers. I find nothing now or will at times get interrupted by a tweaker looking for anything he can pawn.
For the past couple weeks Ive been buying HP z240 workstations for $30 each and they have an i7 6700 and no ram/storage so I've spent basically $30-40 on ram for each one and I got 2 1070's and a rx 5808gb for $190 for all 3 and then I got a 1070ti and a 1660super for $100 each. So far I've sold 2 computers for $400 each with about $150 in them. its so fun!
I just resurrected a 3770K asrock extreme 4 with case with ssd, wifi, Noctua U 12S, and hard drive for grand daughter. I added a Nvidia 950 GPU I had and it runs like a top. Cleaned up the mobo and case well and it hums along pretty well. Ivy Bridge copes pretty well with modern day tasks.

I hope the X58 build is still somewhere doing some work. As a secondary machine for when friends come over or as a homeserver or HTPC.
OMG!
This is awesome!
One person's trash IS another person's treasure!
A gigabyte x58 with an i7 and a GTS 250 seems eerily familiar!
Mine, with a few sticks of ddr3, a w3680 from China and an RX580 8gig I rescued from a miner during last summer, got me through the 2nd wave of the pandemic like a champ!
So nice to see some different content when all the big youtubers are just building new PC's with some weird GPUs that don't really exist in real world like 3080/3090 or what not.
On the road! Now that needs some Tech YES LOVIN! The best deals!
Seeing you after a long time man! How are you?
Marco the man the myth the legend
You have me cracking up. Great video.
Nice BRIAN does it again. THX dude. The famous first gens of intel are the best like i7-2600, 2700 k and non k versions and the legendary i7-3700k I still use for gaming and it works great. bought it of aliexpress for cheap price like 80€ (90$) back then and it still works great on MSI MOBO top quality and stability motherboard H61M-P20 (G3) Couldn't wish for more. When i built it never expected such performance paird with wd red 1tb and SSD for Win 10 pro. Plust got the 1660 card for about 200€ 1year ago and installed it in. Works MAGICLY!!! (Also the RAM I bought of aliexpress for about 50€ 16GB DDR3 with 1600MHz)
PC's found on the roadside is my gig, brother. The things people throw out is beyond imagination these days. WA Potato Hunter reprazent. I've found 4GB Quadro's, Z series HP workstations [420's etc], entire ram raisers with 32GB of A OK sticks........ the list goes on. My current daily driver was built from trash aside from the RAM and GPU. It's an i7 4770 I found in an Intel Desktop mobo. I just threw 32GB of Corsair Vengeance and an MSI Radeon RX 570 X 4GB in it. It happily smashes the entire Adobe 2021 suite, DAW software and plugins, CSGO, Farcry 5.
Congrats on 501K!
I just recently start watching your channel thank you for all your good advice and tips I do the same thing to make a living and I really enjoy it . I found to computers on the side of the road and have been able to restore both of the them.
Seriously!
I've been on RUclips since the beginning.. and I've never noticed that bell, before you said it at the end of this video! xD
Has it been there for ages.. or is it pretty new? :P
Love your videos btw!
The notification bells have been around for years.
I played games way back in the day on some real jank old pc's for many years, so through my eyes this is one top tier gamer
This was an absolutely amazing video tbh 😍🔥🔥
"Yo Adrian" Great Score!👍
For the past couple weeks Ive been buying HP z240 workstations for $30 each and they have an i7 6700 and no ram/storage so I've spent basically $30-40 on ram for each one and I got 2 1070's and a rx 5808gb for $190 for all 3 and then I got a 1070ti and a 1660super for $100 each. So far I've sold 2 computers for $400 each with about $150 in them. its so fun!
Sooo relaxing! love these videos, and still love X58✊
Who leaves a working x58 motherboard by the side of the road. Youd have to pry mine from my cold dead fingers! So jealous of your find.
Absolutely love price to performance PC's that you do 👍
I just resurrected a 3770K asrock extreme 4 with case with ssd, wifi, Noctua U 12S, and hard drive for grand daughter. I added a Nvidia 950 GPU I had and it runs like a top. Cleaned up the mobo and case well and it hums along pretty well. Ivy Bridge copes pretty well with modern day tasks.
Simcoe County, Ontario is doing a 2 week curbside e waste pick up in one week, I wonder what will get thrown out 🤔
IMO the best places to go when there is an Ewaste collection is in suburbs where the rich live, you will be surprised at what gets thrown out.
@@fullboostturbo1 I found an EVGA 1050TI and Gigabyte Z170 mobo with 2400 16gb ram at a house 😊
Scratching off the old thermal paste with a socket cover... I like your style!
Congrats on 500k!!!! Been a fan since you lived in Japan! Where can I get that spray you use Brian??? 👍👍👍
Such a cool old school aesthetic
That BluRay drive still has the plastic peel still on it lol
Love the videos man keep up what ever content you can
Loven the content, funny as brian.
After killing my mobo on my old HP z230 sff. I bought a replacement p.c(used your code for windows activation) 8th gen i5 ,16 GB ram and a 1070ti, 750gold PSU modular, NZXT H400 case paid$1200.
Then today I score a GeForce RTX 3070 Asus k.o GPU for $1300 not even sad that it's cost me$2500 for a awesome rig😁
Don't be mad Brian but I gave the 1070 ti away to a friend who was still gaming on a 660.
Congrats on 500k lets go for 1M in 2022?
Man I absolutely love your content
To be great you must inspire , to inspire you must be great ..... And that you are doing sir! The Tech YES City way of life is basically how trying to make the most fun and a few $$ along the way and i get to do what i love build.fix, restore! Keep the video`s coming big shout out from across the pond from canada! I cant lay a screw driver or sata cable down now my youngest son takes off with them so its a good sign
Nice job, man!! That's a decent rig considering the platform!!
It always irks me when some rich kid throws away a perfectly good gaming rig just because one little thing doesn't work right or they messed with it, ruined it and asked their parents for a new one. I used to live near a big garbage dump and they had a section specifically for PCs and PC parts. I would pull so much working stuff out of that pile it wasn't even funny. One example was a rig that was perfectly fine except it had a dead video card and mismatched RAM (a 533 stick and a 667 stick). I bought a budget video card (Radeon HD 7750) and some Corsair RAM and got the thing up and running for about $250 USD. Ran well for years.
Wow. That's a monster of a Motherboard. A real gold mine indeed.
You're one crazy guy👍Thank you for your continued knowledge.👍
13:41 Oliver Twist!!! LOL!!! I got lucky with Newegg Shuffle and snagged a 3070. I really want a 3080 but I'll take what I can get.
