    Love that little 2002 in the background! or 1600/1800 or whatever it may be. That's the dream. 2002 with roundies and a 2.5 M20 swap and a WJ w/ a small lift. That's all you need!

    with a 2 inc lift I always use stock shocks, never had a problem.

      +1 that's also what I'd recommend to anyone trying to keep it simple and inexpensive. It will definitely get the job done. Thanks for watching!

    If you go to rough country’s site they have shocks rated from 0-3.5” lift.

    Just about to add a 2" Rough Country lift kit w/ Shocks as you did. Do you remember the length of the limit straps you put on the front of your WJ? I see Amazon sells them 12"-25" and it would be great if you can tell me what YOU used.-Thanks, Bob

      Thanks-I listened to the video again and you DID mention 11.5", but I didn't hear it the first time around. Thank-you.

    Is that all on stock tire size?

    Is it possible for the spring to pop out if you don´t remove the swaybars? Or will the sway bars hold it in place safe?

    • @ericschulte1853
      @ericschulte1853  Год назад

      Hard for me to say. I had a 2004 WJ with 2" spacer lift but kept the stock shocks and the sways were always connected. Never had a spring pop on that one. Thanks for watching!

    How do the aftermarket shocks/springs feel vs stock? My 97 rides very hard.
    I have stock wheels idk what they are. It’s a white Jeep with the gold, gold rims.

      The ride is smooth and supple. I am still running stock springs but with the rough country shocks. For your harsh ride, might be your shocks. Unless your springs were changed, they should provide a nice smooth ride.

    Yes because you probably have used old saggy springs not anymore same size as new. I buyed 2inch bilstein b8 5100 shocks, 2inch spacer lift and new oem springs and should be fine..

    Do you put limiting straps on the rear?

    • @ericschulte1853
      @ericschulte1853  Год назад

      No, I have found that the rear is not prone to losing a spring.

    Great video and info. Q: could you provide me with the name of the limiting straps and the bracket please? Also, are those sway bar quick releases made by rough country? I think those are the ones they sell for like 80 bucks if I'm not mistaken?

    • @ericschulte1853
      @ericschulte1853  2 года назад +1

      The straps are pro comp. I picked mine up from "Summit Racing" there are lots of different lengths to choose from. The lower mount brackets are from the Rough Country sway bar disconnect kit. the upper mount is just a longer bolt into the frame. Check out the review of the Rough Country disconnects I did for a closer look. Thanks for watching!

    What size tires? Jeep looks real nice.

      Thanks! Tires are the stock size of 245/70r16, or roughly 30"

    • @monroemando
      @monroemando 2 года назад

      @@ericschulte1853 ok, well I saw you had stock rims just like my wj. I've got a 2.5" Rusty's spring lift coming and some 265 70r16 tires I'm going to put on after it's lifted. Trying to figure out if I'll need wheel spacers with my stock wheels.

    • @ericschulte1853
      @ericschulte1853  2 года назад +1

      @@monroemando I added 1" wheel spacers on mine just to get the "look" right. Your tires are 20mm wider overall, 10mm each side and a little taller than mine. I wouldn't think that extra 10 mm on the inside would cause a lot of rubbing. Seems every WJ is a little different tho. Try it, and if it rubs, then you can add the spacers.

    • @monroemando
      @monroemando 2 года назад

      @@ericschulte1853 I agree, I like the way it looks with a wider stance. I like those wheels too, and I can't afford new ones right now anyway... did you go with a huh centric spacer? I think I'm going to go ahead and get the Rough Country 1.5" hubcentric wheel spacers. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet lol.

    • @ericschulte1853
      @ericschulte1853  2 года назад

      @@monroemando I picked up a set of hub centrics off ebay for under $100. As you consider spacers, bear this in mind: the wider you go, the harder it is on the steering linkage, ball joints and wheel bearings. You will notice increased steering wheel effort particularly at parking lot speeds on dry pavement.

    Is your jeep 4wd all the time?

      No. It has the transfer case with 2 hi, 4 hi and 4 lo range options.
