- Hi Guys and Girls!
Now I know a few of you will be here from the GS video and from Teapotones channel too... but one thing about me is that I love trackdays! 🥰
So I thought I would vlog about my track day at Cadwell Park! 😊
I attended a No Limits event and went through the highly professional, increased social measuring procedures at signing on 👏
I spent the first session wondering why it felt like I had no control over the bike, thinking it was me and shouting at myself in my helmet... 'WHY ARE YOU RIDING LIKE THIS'... I came in deheartened and confused. Had a light bulb moment 💡and checked my pressures. Horrifically low. Inflated them and then I was back on my game!!!!
Cadwell is a nadgery track, super narrow with differing elevations and gradients. There is a lot you can learn there 😁
DISCLAIMER
Constructive criticism welcome, I'm always trying to improve and know that I have a lot to learn. But remember to be kind. As I learnt in my last video... some folk can be savage!
Hope you all enjoy it!! 💙
Ride Safe,

Shows off her new suit and then says, “it’s quite stiff at the moment”
😂😂😂
Amazing Kate, great riding style and so good to see the on track perspective.Big respect to you Kate, proper down to earth communication.
cadwell is immense, well done, not going on the back of you, you are as mad as a box of frogs, great vid keep up the great work.
Canada here. Well done ! Every day, " Better and better ". Faster and faster. You are doing something that ninety percent of two and four wheeled drivers are too afraid to do. Keep doing what your heart tells you. Stay safe, stay healthy. I have ' subbed ' you.
Makes you realise just how fast BSB is when they’re getting proper airtime on the mountain. Looked like you were improving quite noticeably from the first session. Great riding.
Thanks Mat! A long way to go but the encouraging words are nice 👌
Hi Kate, I really enjoyed my day out with you at Cadwell Park, it was nice to have both views, from the front i could feel the sheer speed and power, and from the rear, to marvel how you shift your body weight to lean into bends, a bit scary, you ride so smooth and controlled, a true professional, and the engine note, screaming, adds to the joy. You looked stunning in the black and white tracksuit. Thanks for a great day out and a great high speed experience.
Excellent video. I have never done a track day so that was interesting to watch. I think you have the right attitude to bikes.
Good to see you enjoying it Kate. Definite improvement through the laps. Impressed that you decided to call it a day. Mature thinking.
Great job Kate, enjoyed watching you on brought back a few memories of a very long time ago for myself as Cadwell was one of my favourite tracks when are used to race in the 80s, stay safe and keep having fun I wish I was still your age again 👍
I don't know how your video come up but I'm glad it did!!
To ease the strain on your arms when braking grip the tank with your knees/thighs, that's why the tank is shaped the way it is and it will take a lot of pressure off your arms.
NoLimits offer free instruction and, as Cadwell has a few double apex's, get one of them to show you the lines if you go again.
I really enjoyed this video Kate. As a sidecar passenger, Cadwell was always one of my favourites. You're right about it being physical though. Glad you enjoyed it.
I love that circuit! Coppice is awesome, no matter how "oh shit oh shit" fast you go in, you always come out realising you could have gone in faster.
Yes love this part!
Nice video! This is definitely on my bucket list! Enjoying your vids, keep it up!
Well Done Kate i am sure your getting better each time you go out . The new helmet & suite look great .
Thanks Kevin 😊
More YER THANG then greenlaning for sure! Love the bike.
Great video, I live a few miles from Cadwell and take my bike there regularly... I am bit biased but the best track ever, really tests you mentally and physically
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻😎, I have days when I feel stiff and not relaxed on my bike, always makes me want to turn around and go home.
Kate went blonde and with glasses 😳 who knew, go Katie 👏
Blonde since a teenager
Well impressed Kate. I nearly peed my pants just watching 😲.
Makes me realise how poor my riding skills are....luckily I’ve only ever owned ancient old horses so speed never really been an option.
Currently riding a 42 year old Honda cb400t and never likely to get above 60.🤪
Good job. 👍
Whatever floats your boat mate! Sounds like you have a good time anyway!
Looked like a fun day out. Good to see you bossing it round a circuit like that.
Thanks!!
I did the bike school there in 1991/1992 and loved the track. Went to do one a track day at Brands a couple of years back on my then nearly new Busa and they wouldn't let me on track as my leathers only zipped together 3/4 of the way around my large belly. Kinda got put off after that :D
Brilliant commentary as usual looked like a great day & the new leathers were 👍
Cheers Mark! 😊
Looks like loads of fun .....
Simply, WOW
Looks like a brilliant day. 10/10 from down under Kate 👍👍👌
It was great thanks! 😊 thanks for the comment 👍
Hi Kate. Your videos are great find them very interesting. I’m a new rider some of your videos have gave me some great tips thank you 👍
That was great...bloomin good riding skills!! Cheers Steve
Thanks Steve!!!
Wow, so good watching your rides. Well impressed ☺
Thank you! :)
So many experts in the comments. #Patriarch
Great video Kate cadwell is a fantastic track from growing up I have always gone there as I only live down the road from it stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
Thanks Richard! 😊
That looked like a lot of fun! Nice video.
I've done Cadwell once with Martin Hopp and it was chucking it down. Must go back in the dry.
Bet I'd still be much slower than you!
I was in the same group I saw you a few times you were going well. Keep up the good work 🏍💨
Thanks Jordan!!! I appreciate that! 😊
Brilliant kate.nearest track to me bin guwin 40yrs.best track and demanding but as you say takes alot owt ya.luk forward to nxt one Brill!! 👍👏🏍🏆
are there some keys that don't work on your keyboard/phone mate? :-)
Awesome vid. This is by far my fav track. Glad to see the weather was better than your last time (you said it was wet when chatting with teapot one) the mountain can be fun my advice is keep far left you will carry alot more speed and the front won't come up much. Also when coming out of the shicane try 1st I get so much more of a push out of that corner and get past a few ppl. I track my street triple RS. Supersport for that track is very demanding good effort!
Thanks for the tips! I will try them :) yes! Much better weather this time 👌
So cool , nice one 👍😁
Impressive riding skills Kate!!! Be Safe on the track and elsewhere!!
Thanks Rodney!
Brilliant vid🙌👍
Just discovered your channel, Kate. Great work. I’m enjoying your videos. 👍
Thanks!!! 🙌 welcome to the Mad House LOL
Looking good. See you got the wind slayer..
Thats a great circuit...your Spidi Lady suit fits you perfectly, (they are superb quality suits and weigh a ton too)....a very good choice
Tricky track but awesome, great vid 👍
Kick ass! That helmet looks so good.
Thanks Owen!!
Hi Kate , another great vid it looks like you got the Hang of it after you got use to it and the tire pressures were put right and good thing to remember to get right as you said and you enjoyed it and you lent your bike to some one to get a go because his bike would not go but alest he had a ride paul
Thanks Paul! Yeah the pressure were a game changer! 😬 silly me.
learned my lesson long ago about resting helmet on the saddle.
From the front the new suit didn’t look all that flattering but then you turned sideways on and it looks amazing.
Far braver than I am. I’ve done cadwell in the car and that’s bad enough!
I like it from all angles so I guess thats all that matters! But yes, the side looks badass for sure! I would think a car would be scarier with the track being so narrow 😬😬😬
Looks like you enjoyed it I love cadwell.
yes I'm here from teapotone.... but tell you what, you have more balls than I do!! would love to do a track day but think them days have passed me by.. anyway i'm still here watching. great content keep it up see ya soon.
nice one, looks like you may have had a bit of cramp at 22.45, i get that quite a bit, great vid thanks for sharing, stuck at home here in Florida, so not much to do :)
The worst hip cramp 😭😭😭 horrific lol
Rather you than me !!!!! I'll stick to my GS & the roads. Thanks for sharing your Video
Haha fair play! Thanks for the lovely comment 😀
Had an enjoyable time ya. Nice and good riding skill. Pls don’t crash n take care Kate. Cheers!
I will try not to crash!
Awesome track footage👌
Thanks!
Awesome vlog Kate, could really see your confidence building. Cadwell is a fantastic circuit, very technical and one of my favourite (even if I did break my back and pelvis there) :D
I think my most scary part of the circuit is the downhill at Mansfield into the Bus Stop! I can't wait to get back there again! :-)
WRT you not doing the last lesson to not be that person.... that was exactly what caused my off there, too tired, no energy so concentration lapsing and blam; highside round Park corner.
You done great! :-)
Thank you Hippo! I need to meet you on a track day because you're always so lovely and supportive! Can't believe you injured yourself so badly there. That doesn't sound nice but fair play that you just crack on with! Take care 🙂
@@UsernameKate I'm at Brands Hatch GP in August, hopefully on my Moto Guzzi, but if wet I'll use the Triumph :-)
Get that knee down girl... Well impressed... 😀
Looks like a great day Kate... glad it stayed dry for you all.. very commendable of you to lend your bike out and skip a session.. whats your favourite track day up to now??
Suit looks gorgeous by the way... fits very well.🥰🥰🥰🥰
Cadwell is my favourite so far! And you gotta look after your friends! I know he would do the same for me 😊 thank you! I like the suit alot!
Another good video Kate
Thanks Lyn! Appreciate it!
I remember picking your bike up of the floor for you on Nikitta's estate😁I don't think you was going as fast as this that day👍
Bloody hell! Memories 😂
Hey Kate can you talk about your trailering setup there and maybe other track day checklist items? You don't need a monster truck to lug a couple motorcycles to the track! The various vans around do seem cozy though :)
Thanks for bringing your perspective to this experience! Track Days seem super intimidating to me XD
Ride Cross country any day, Track though, still above my wheel house lol
Awesome❤
Very informative 👍👍
You look good In the suit and on the bike very nice vid ⛽️⛽️⛽️💯
Let’s go Kate!! #inspiration
Looking good. It's easy to forget how physical track days can be.
Especially this track 🥵 shattered i was!
I've not done Cadwell yet, only been to Oulton and Donington.
Nice riding, Kate.
my home turf! enjoy.
Absolutely loved that. The bike looked fantastic but I would be interested to know more about it.What size is it and how old also when you had the problem with tyre pressures was the pressure too low or too high? Please keep the videos coming.Beats TV anyday.
Nice filming and nice driving :P
Hey Kate, good job on the video. I enjoyed it. It's been years since I've been to Cadwell.
Two things I think you'd benefit from is a quickshifter and perhaps some tuition. That's not a criticism by the way, but a friendly bit of advice. My lines around Cadwell were hardly ever perfect, but I was round there with the instructors from No Limits and also Simon Crafar and they tidied me up a bit and I dropped 10 seconds in a day (I went from very slow, to just slow - ha ha).
Good job, keep it up and I'll maybe see you on a European trackday sometime.
Nice job 👏
awesome rider keep it up
Subscribed! Great riding and I really enjoyed the POV camera mounting. Glad you had a successful day! I like your content and laid back personality. You should be over 10,000 subs soon. Keep up the great work.
BTW do you know what the last thing that went through that bugs mind when he hit your shield? His ass! ;)
Ride safe and Cheers from the U.S.
LOL poor bug 🤣🤣🤣 and thank you so much! Really appreciate the positive words!
Another cracking video, no way I could ride at those speeds!
Shame HJC got the Star Wars franchise, you could have had a matching lid for the new leathers :)
🤣 love it
Kate...... Please buy a quickshifter. I ran with out one for a race weekend and was absolutely cream crackered! You don't realise how much you put on your arms changing gear letting off the throttle
I really need one 😫
That looks fun 👍
Like a roller coaster 🎢 😎
Username Kate Never done Caldwell but they say it a mini Nurburgring that I have done many times in the car. That’s one for your bucket list if you feel brave 👍
What are yr tyre pressures for the track? Great video 😀
That looks fun! I know you like technology, maybe you could figure out how to have on screen stats like when watching the TT. Speed, gear, position on track. Would that be a RUclips first?
Great video Kate thoriughly enjoying the track days especially, if you do any more track days could you go intp more details about how to get on one of these days and all the important things you need to be able to do these. I ask as i aint got a scooby and i passed my test 4 years ago now and its about time i had a go. Many thanks again for the vids keep em coming. TTFN keep em shiny side up ;) Rob
Noted! :)
+1, 3 hours to nearest track day here at NYST New York
@@UsernameKate Cheers, good luck
Your lines are pretty good. Tips for the mountain - hug the left hander longer before tipping right for the mountain. Also the left hand side is actually softer of a crest than the right so you won't wheelie as much if you keep left which is the better line anyway to prepare for hall bends. Stand up and over your tank to keep the front down more.
Cadwell is one of those places where the more you ride it the more you like it, its brutal your first time there.
Thanks for your advice Lydia!!! 😊 I'll give it a bash!
@@UsernameKate you're welcome 😊 the only other thing I would say after watching a bit more is your entry into coppice is really good (first left after start/fin) change down one once you've exited the left to help you tip right into charlies 2 keeping nice and close to the kerb (also gives better drive), then drift out left to the grass as you crest the hill and hold it there longer than you think making charlies 3 a late apex onto the back straight. You were tipping in too early and losing time & drive onto the back straight.
Honestly though for your first time there it was ace 👌 cracking job
That is one nice sounding bike.
That is a sweet looking Suzuki 👌👍mint !
Thank you!! Painted by my friend 'Racepaintbydion'
Later on I saw it on the bike very nice job 👍
Is it me, or is it quite a narrow circuit? I do like the green and hilly character. Also, nice to see you don't need to go mental to not be in the way of others. Seems like a 'good pace' instead of 'red mist mode'. It makes me feel I should go and try a trackday) @Kate: do you use the brakes a lot, or not? Looks like a nice flowy style that I also prefer to use (on flowing public roads that is; again, never been to a trackday).
The only advice i would like to offer is the following .
Going through corners allow your arm that is to the inside of the corner to bend more , this will pull the upper body forward and down placing a bit more weight on the front .
You may also find this style is more natural and less taxing on the upper body .
It may help to illustrate my point if you search "Racers body position" loads of videos to watch on this .
Strange sound at 5.54 lol.
Glad you had a great day .
Would be nice to get to the track someday.
Haha I can assure you it was a creak! Trust me, I'd own up and be proud if it was what you think 😂 you defo should get on track, you'd love it!
@@UsernameKate No need to explain Kate lol , Never been like i said should i take my gsxr750 or my gsxs1000 or maybe even hire one there?.
I love Cadwell Park
👏👏👏👍
Santa Maria - RS - Brasil
👏👏👏👏👍
Nice to see it's not just me that gets cramp as soon as I set off...!
Hahaha thats exactly what it was 🤣 it was so painful that session, I lapsed in concentration for a split second and went grass tracking at charlies 😅 thankfully I stayed on! 😬😬😬
nice riding!
Good on ya.
That place is mad. It seems like you could run wide really easilly - unlike, say, Bedford. Looks like good fun though.
Yea, its a very narrow track 😬😬
Ye you was talking about it being physical on your arms , can I ask do you use counter steering to help those left and right which is physical? Love your videos by the way , I’m an ex motorcyclist , a major head on white a car on my Kawasaki z1000st in 1979 took me off motorbikes but still love to watch people like your self in my old age 😎👍
Charlies 1 and two, try and move out to the left of the track (you're hugging the right side of the track) then turn in to park straight as late as you possibly can. That way you have a better drive out and carry more speed onto park straight. I was doing exactly the same as you were doing and got told the above. It made a massive difference.
Thanks for the tips! I will certainly try that!
@@UsernameKate I agree on the so physical comment. Last session I wasn't going to go out but decided to just follow behind a slightly slower rider and practice my lines. I felt a lot better after that.
Anywhere!!!!!!
🌼💞 🕊️
Always wanted to try that track, on my list for next year. What was up with the bike that wouldnt start? Where your tyres supercorsa's sp/sc? What pressures you running on that day?
Hey! No idea why it wouldn't start yet, he's gonna get someone to look at it. I run SCs and around 34 front and 28 rear 👍
Great work Kate, thank you for sharing your experience. Looks like a very tough, physically demanding circuit!
Good work Kate 👍🏻 I’m still aching after my trackday at Croft on Friday! What genny do you use? I need to get one for my tyre warmers.
Not a clue to be honest 😅
Username Kate 😂
6:00 min: You make the suit look so good Kate. Not the other way around! 😍
Kates got skillz
I try 😬😊
skills....
