  • Strengthen your pelvic floor with belly dance! In this video, I break down research-backed moves that are clinically proven to increase pelvic muscle strength. This dance fitness routine is appropriate for hypertonic (tight) and hypotonic (lax) pelvic floor muscles. Relax AND strengthen your core and pelvic floor with belly dance! Listen to your body and stop or modify if anything feels uncomfortable for your particular core/pelvic floor needs.

You may not be a professional belly dancer, but you have excellent teaching skills. You are gifted in your ability to impart knowledge where learning actually takes place!. Perhaps your extensive knowledge of kinesiology helps, but broken down beautifully for the beginner 👍🏼

This is sweet, thank you for sharing! We refer to the hip shimmy as the butt shimmy because the imagery gives more versatility. A lot of people use their sides for the hip shimmy and it ties up the torso from doing layering moves.
