Keep the videos coming. Really like the clean neat work that you do. Wish other electrician did that kind of clean work. Keep up the great work.
What a pleasure to see units/junction boxes etc labelled up, the time it saves when fault finding !!
What a huge difference the clean-up makes!
Really great job guys!
Always enjoy watching you guys , another great video!
Great vid guys. Always good to see how other sparks do it. Keep em coming
Your van is the neatest & tidiest works van I've ever seen.
I'm an industrial electronics engineering student. My studies don't have much to do with your videos, but I'm learning a shit ton about practical electrical work from watching them. Thanks a lot mate, I truly enjoy your channel.
Cheers from Madrid :)
Nice to see you care so much about cable layout, sweet fuse box
Good team work, very informative made is so easy to understand for new electrician....Thank you.
Really enjoyed this video you guys are entertaining to watch. Keep it up!
Purely amazing!
Now that's worthy of art in my eyes that fuse bored nice double take of the entry systam tom
U both worked your guts out on that job
Great job on that fuse board! Watching these videos is better than therapy :)
I'm choosing my gcses options and you are one of two people who have inspired me to choose my options that equate to being a sparky.
Big Clive sent me, and I'm glad he did. Great show lads!
Good job guys! Cheers
Great video! Keep on rolling!!
nice finish too. well done Tom and DAVE
Nice video mate! I'm currently doing my second year at college (City & Guilds level 2) and watching videos like this are great for knowledge etc! Keep it up!
Its seeing set ups like this which make me glad to be an in-house electrician for a commercial company. Scary :o
Great video, thanks Thomas
Lovely work on that consumer unit. 👍
Just subscribed.
Fair play fellas . Nice job
Hey mate ! Absolutely love your channel ! I’m a electrician from Australia. Almost out of my time as a apprentice. Keep up with you YT as its great !
Nice job lads!
Quality install lads!
I'm a new subscriber from Big Clive's site. Thanks to you both for a look at critical infrastructure installation and repair.
That sandwich wasn’t nice, it was satisfactory.
evilution lmfao
The Emergency light stuff near the consumer unit, it is a battery powered or mains powered?
Very neat fuse board top job
Very neat rewiring of the power board. 😃👌👏👏👏
It was a pig to do, but looked ok i thought.
Lovely job
Dont worry about flickering so much its not that biggy as long content is great. Keep doing what you doing yours work is top notes😎 Have a great day for You and Tom😛
Its bank holiday monday thats safe isolation lol so friday is even safer isolation cause no one wants to do much and shoot off early so im pretty confident no one will want to come and turn a circuit on
Awesome job dudes. :) love the videos and inspired by the work you do. Dave you have a great mentor. Tom you have a great student. :) Keep bashing them out. The videos of course.......
Really good videos, keep them coming, i enjoy seeing them, I can relate in a couple of stuff, I'm from Nicaragua and I live in United States (Florida) and some requirements are likely the same some others are different, from your side of the world, but we can all agree on one thing, it's an amazing and beautiful trade to get in to, my tools are Milwaukee as well, my brother got me into them and now I just fell in love with them, let's face it, when you're on your own and you need to finish the job, those are the right tools for it. Greetings Tom.
Good Work Matey, safe isolation quote cracked me up lol
Just want to say ,i am proud of people like you which taking there job proudly
And i am not a Electrition but a handyman for nearly 15 years!!!
I have knowledge of wiring but bever had a chance to advance it
Shame
But will try to finish my electric course soon
But again well done and proud of you
Nice work on the consumer unit
love theses rewires
That’s it mint for another 50 years 👍
Your humour is so amusing
This guy produces better tv than the BBC, I could watch these vids all day. Keep up the good work Thomas.👍🏻
Blimey, what a nice comment! Cheers pal! Wish I had the time to make enough vids so you could watch them all day ;-)
Hey I'm a new viewer from Australia, love the content. I run my own electrical company in Aus and its real interesting seeing how similar our systems are!
As a canuck, this is all completely backwards!
Just you d your channel.
Fellow sparky, nice original idea.
It's a good chance to show people what we actually do an it's all I interesting.
Fair play
Tom and Dave you are both doing a great job. I live across the pond and I'm breaking into the electrical business as a retirement job. I've found the videos informative even though I'm having a little trouble understanding your terminology and humor. I have found that you have too many "Arm Chair Quarterbacks" in your viewing audience, remember if your not part of the solution your part of the problem "Fellow Sparks". It is easy to throw stones when your sitting in the stands. We also have a problem with the younger generation not wanting to work in the "Trades". Some of the major things that causes them to shy away from it is the "Old Crotchety Bastards" (master electricians that are in debt to all there ex-wives and can't retire), the hard work and little pay. I will part by saying keep up the good work Tom I look forward to the next videos when the "Third seat" will be filled.
Nice work
I know you haven't done the snagging yet and will probably do it anyway but I always whack a bit of mastic or painters caulk around the top of the trunking it just finishes it off nicely. Great work keep em coming 👍🏻
Ignore the haters, great job Tom. The jargon police will always be there - jealousy of success. As a maturer guy coming into the industry over the last year or so your videos have been invaluable. So please keep up the good work!
Nice job.
6:25 "I've gotta change out a few luminaires today...." LOL!
Very darti work
Nice job on the Fuse Box, client will be pleased, noted the building has a Apollo Xpander Wireless Fire Alarm System....
Sitting here revising for my C&G2391 and adding"No other SOB in the building on a banker's holiday" to my revision notes on safe iso' so that's a PASS sorted. Besides, once I'm out in the wild any BH is a no-traffic day and I'll have another one where the hotels are cheap. Good on yer Tom(s).
I had to work my Bank Holiday too, but I always think it is nice to work a bank holiday and take it off another weekend when the Motorways are nice and clear, and the beaches are less crowded. Take off a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday break if you can, to make up for losing your bank hols. What a nice neat install.
How good to see English electricians on RUclips who talk about things we understand.
As my old tradesman used to say, “lamps glow, bulbs grow”. In fairness though he was an arse.
Instablaster
Great video! Shame not to see a bit more of the fuseboard area being turned around but we understand. Keep it up fellas 👍
I found your video quite satisfactory 😂👏
Well done chaps not much making good after you for sparks only a shit load of pointing 😁 keep up the good work loving the channel
This is the first video of yours I've ever seen and I can't believe that's an acceptable state for a wiring panel to be in. No wonder you're pulling it out. Electrical work looks very different than what I'm used to seeing in America.
The fact Americans seem to loathe any form of regulation and have a lot of very old buildings of their own makes me doubt that every building in your country has tip-top wiring.
What a man. God to see some younger sparks doing a decent job.
We're they your temp site lights by the dis board
top sparks, that was an amazing job you done …. poshest sounding sparks too
The wall behind the boards looks like it’s only held up by your new ply! Very tidy job nice!
Great work tom. What a mess who ever did all that work b4 u mate.. task inahalf
Safe isolation - bank holiday monday. Love it
Here from Big Clive. Very interesting. Nice to have a recommendation to a channel
Thanks for heading over. enjoy the show !
As a distance learning prospective electrician I have no idea how I’ll ever learn to deal with stuff like this. I couldn’t have managed to plaster without my apprenticeship!
Go dam it! you're the best sparks in London Town !! "this time next year rodders, your be a millionaire!! " ha Love the work.. Thanks i seem to have an addiction to your channel more than netflix now ..
Absolutely pissing myself to the Bank Holiday safe isolation, loving the videos keep it up
I like the inside of your van
Atta boiz.
Keep up the good work, you "Sparks"
XD
very neat.
Thats a propper job, old messed up distribution boards replacing is challanging but verry rewarding.
10:01 - congratulations on a very neat looking dist board ;)
that is spooky , i am watching this bank holiday monday 1 year later . wow .
and now 2 years also spooky
Great finish to the DB change. Be nice to follow behind u on that one mate. Was there a fused spur for the bell transformer? I believe even adjacent to the DB one is required.
As an American electrician, its interesting to see how you guys do your panels.
9:18 Big Clive did and interesting tear down of one of their shower units. Interesting robust piece of engineering.
Really nice work Tom and Dave. Well done. Did you take any hit when the track lighting worked out more expensive than expected?
Hey tom love watching the channel. I’m a sparky down in Sussex, and I really would like to know why you don’t fit RCBO consumer units. Cheers Sam
If all else fails, you can often get rid of the LED flicker by setting your shutter speed twice your frame rate. I used to have a mare with the flicker, but that sorted it immediately.
Cracking job guys 👍🏼 nice neat job. Not a big fan on the bell units. Cheaper than Videx though.
Dave! The man is name Dave!
Bobby Willie Too bad someone missed the opportunity... I'm sorry Dave. I can not do that.
That’s how I do cu as well, 50 x 100 trunking ,makes it all neat an tidy, well done Tomas you must have seen I of my installs?
And if it's not a bank holiday Monday just pull the cut out fuse 👌
Lavvveeee itttttt
How was the other end of the SWA incomer connected at the other end? I can't think where i'd gland the other end off into.
I know your work is good but daaaaamn, that fuseboard cupboard came out cleaner than Jesus's conception 👍
aye, impressive work :)
This comment wins.
Great video! When will you be doing the fire alarm there?
12:52 Was that a glitch in the matrix?
Amazing. I noticed that too lol
Yep that glitch in The Matrix still going to this day
Which model of sds drill do you use ? Does it cope with engineering bricks?
Fantastic electrician
Hiya great video how do you know which cable is which after you've disconected them? Also a LAMP is the device into which s BULB goes
Very neat. My OCD is satisfied.
Couple of things;
Instant water heaters are always a lot better in summer than winter.
Did you use decent lamps in the gallery space, for art you'd want something with CRI 95+?
I literally lol'ed at bank holiday being an effective means of isolation.
I wish I could share the isolation & test certificate I work to. Requires three people to put an isolation on.
I would not worry about replacing the consumer unit, I would be sorting out the rotting, wet, unsupported wall behind it first.
Nice work as usual :) Cable management was pornographic!
You keep calling Tom, Dave!
For a fuse board up grade, the mains fed what is the requirement if you have to break the seal
Thought the technical terms for an eicr were either "it's alright" or "it's f***ed". Who'd of thought ive been doing it wrong and It was ment to be satisfactory or unsatisfactory all this time.
Then there's the "completely and utterly f***ing f***ed"
Mate, it should be: it's alright or change it because you might die.
Bulbs and lamps just like basins and sinks!
12:50 Intercom system was so good they fitted it twice.
He's taking the piss. Lately there have been comments about repeating sentences.
Glitch in the matrix.
