He was always the best and I was just a a small child went my dad told me that and he was definitely right. Now he has sons to follow in his footsteps! Always love this man’s music and singing 🎵 ♥️💝
I love the way the audience has to actually listen. You can hear a pin drop. That’s how it should be, no talking laughing, fussing and fighting. Just respect and there to hear the music and the greatness of Willie.
A piece of greatness carved from a mountain of gleaming granite. It's weathered and worn thru the ages but never broken. Ever!! God's creation but our gift.
When you listen to this song going back to the 60s it's clear how Nashville overproduced Willie and kept him from finding his true voice. To much light and sweetness that really detracts from the sadness that is the essence of this song. Here in 74 Willie is being purely himself and the family knows how to add just the right embellishment. Mostly Paul keeping rhythm and not much more. This is a treasure and all other versions of this song pale in comparison.
One of A Kind! Willie has written more classic American music than any other artist I know of! Long live Mr. Nelson!
