The album version does an excellent job of catching that feeling of disbelief and empty like lightening in a bottle. I really adore this song. It’s a stand out on the best country concept album of all time

"I Still Can't Believe You're Gone" and "It's Not Supposed to be That Way" are two beautful tracks from my favorite Willie Nelson album, "Phases and Stages."
This is probably my favorite performance of Mr. Nelson! His distinctive vocals along with the sound of his nylon guitar makes for a truly spectacular performance. I hope to see him soon :)
I remember Willie at this time. And I often visualize him as he is here. Then I see him as he is 45 years later at 87. He shows how fast life is. Willie reminds me to beware of, and appreciate every moment of life. Never say things like I can’t wait for tomorrow. Life is too short to lose even a moment.
